No matter how much I have to wait, I'll always watch them with enthusiasm. And I'd also like to thank you for everything you've shared with us over the years. You were always 1 of my favorites.

    • So I would love more videos on Legends story arcs like the Isard and Zinj campaigns, but from a behind-the-scenes perspective. For instance, bring in that book Courtship ofPrincess Leia and even the way Stover’s Shadows of Mindor dovetails into everything while being uncharacteristically gritty.

    • @@danielhales8169 Operation Shadow hand from dark empire although still one of the worst written threads of galactic civil war makes much more sense than Exegol. The biggest issues with DE that I have are: A) they became unrealisticly strong in a very short time, B) Palpatine has endless supplies of clones. That's the one thing they did better in disney canon, where Palpatine had just one clone that was able to be controleld. But overall, old canon verion is more logical than new canon. The latter presents a fleat of thousands of star destroyers each capable of blowing off a damn planet! And despite having it, old idiot Palpatine dicided that he should use remnants of the old empire not for the purpose of his final order but to create a separate faction that will destroy the new republic. Becouse why not....In Legends it is shown that Palpatine had to strugle with reunifying the empire. The only reason he converted the empire into dark empire is becouse he knew he can't trust warlords some of whom propably don't rven belive that it's the real emperor. He had to controll everything on his own, with the dark side itself. And the universe spanning magocracy thing, it was what was meant to be the ultimate form of the empire but after endor those plans were unreachible. Anyway, sorry for long comment, dark empire although with many major flaws, fits legends much better than so called episode 9 fits the new canon.

    • It would be great, though George Lucas, before he sold Lucasfilm, was in early preparations for his sequels. They were going to be about Maul returning with an apprentice and rebuilding his crime empire to destroy the rebuilding Republic. The empire in George's mind was destroyed entirely in galactic civil war, without a truce, so no empirial remnant unfortunately. There were just some rogue forces left which were likely gonna play some rule. But overall tbh, NJO nad LOTF are still better than those plans.

    • @@PeteTemplar101 Most EU material was "legitimate", but if you mean that having Shadows cross over multiple mediums (comics, games, novels, etc.) gave it more importance, then I can somewhat agree, because it means it had greater exposure, same as the Clone Wars multimedia project. At any given point there may be a war somewhere (although true interstate wars these days are actually very rare, it's usually civil wars with proxy groups supported by other states) but we've not have a world war for 77 years, unless you count the Cold War, which was really more of a string of proxy conflicts. In the grand scale of human history, the world relatively peaceful. We have crises at the moment, but they aren't particularly existential, with the semi-exception of climate change. The Star Wars universe is more like if the Syrian Civil War lasted decades and was global, with every side in a total-war footing. There isn't any comparison.

    • @@scoman91 Agreed, but that intentional decision was still short sighted. They looked at projections and what they could get out of each project, instead of looking at something which was, in most parts and provided you stay faithful to the source material, almost a guaranteed success. One where they might've had to share some of the spoils. They went for the stock market instead of the bank account, to increase their wealth.* *Not my idea, it's what the Developer of Steel Beasts Pro PE, the premier tank sim, said about the development of a Simulation vs. a AAA Game in ca. 2011 IIRC. Namely, that if you go for a niche genre, you might sell less copies overall, but if your product is solid and if you are one of the few if not only devs serving that niche you will get lower, but more secure income. Essentially making niche games a bank account. Now in a AAA Game you can potentially sell more copies, but thanks to the much higher competition, you have a much higher chance to fail. Back then 3 in 4 AAA Games failed before making it too launch, making them the stock market.
