@BRUH BRUH Uhhh... CK2 is now free on steam? There is no trial or nothing of the likes...? The avatar mod, is free, but might require some dlc’s that cost money. To be sure you’ve got the good version of the game (CK2) go get it for free on Steam, whatever trial shit you’ve got to pay is bullshit or a scam. (Also “CK2” and “Avatar” ain’t the same. CK2 is a medieval rpg map game and is the base on wich a modification (a mod) is built (like the avatar mod).

@Loopsad He is saying the MODERN Fire Nation. Earth Kingdom is still a 3rd world country by all degrees. The Exploitation of the Earth Kingdoms resources has led to the fire nation, even now, probably to be the strongest nation (behind the Republic ofcourse because the avatar will always support that). They probably have even greater weapons of mass destruction than the Earth Kingdom have, and if it is the time of the Comet, the Fire Nation could easily destory the Earth Kingdom. Ofcourse we dont get to explore this because Legend of Korra pretty much cuts the Fire Nation out of the Equation besides a few cameos.

Well that area had been culturally separated and integrated between the Earth kingdoms and the fire nation for a century, So instead of removing the fire nation people who had lived their entire lives in the colony, they made it an international zone

@@Nima-ec4tr It had been over 170 years since they were colonized. I’m pretty sure the people whose land was taken were long since dead. Meanwhile the people in the area were mixed ethnicity between fire and earth. The United republic was created with the support of both Fire Lord Zuko and Earth King Kui.
It would have be interesting to see an alternate reality where the Gaang fails against the fire nation and the next Avatar is born into the Northern Water Tribe, the final stronghold against the Phoenix King.

Interesting idea though I don’t think the Norther Water tribe would be able to last more than a couple years at the latest. The whole reason they lasted so long was the Fire Nation being unable to breach the walls. Since the fire nation is at that point the only military with war balloons that’s no longer an issue. If they time their attacks around the time of a new moon it would take that long.

i feel like the earth kingdom but an unfairly large piece of the cake here, all the other nations are stuck on tiny islands and then there's the earth kingdom with an island larger than all the others combined.
More like a continent Also in some fairness to the Earth Kingdom both the North and South Water Tribes are actually way bigger than shown in the video since it's kinda hard to properly scale a circular world map on a flat surface.

You forgot that during Avatar salai's time, the Fire Nation is still not united. It was United during Szeto's time (the avatar next to him, Szeto's legacy.
The haven't actually confirmed who Salai actaully is,all we know is that he is one of the greatest Avatar's ever but we don't know his shape,personality,his origins or his life struggles,nothing

One thing I really want to be delved into is the fact that there are several mentions of Warlords and conflicts that happened in the period between the 100 year war and Korra. I would love to see some stories about smaller conflicts where Warlords rose up in places like remote parts of the Earth kingdom or the islands that used to be controlled by the Air Nomads that none of the 4 Nations are Governing.

I feel like the earth kingdom is a punching bag. Like first they were raided by the pirates, then they got destroyed by a 100 year war , got burned during sozin’s comet, Ba sing se was taken over by the white and red lotuses , got land stolen from them for the republic of nations and finally got thrown into anarchy. They can’t catch a break

This was amazing. Watching Avatar’s world history changing with story tidbits to help us understand what happened. And really enjoyed the amazing music score too. What a marvellous world-building job the creators did.
Seeing all this, it would really cool and interesting for the next Avatar to establish his own country or rule. It could follow how balance must be maintained by taking control and power

This is probably the most detailed Avatar World History on KZhead , Great Job as always. (some minor stuff like Ba Sing Se Uprising and Yellow Neck Rebellion is Missing Tho)

Great quality video, good to see someone finally made a quality history of the world of avatar map video. However I do want to point out some things that bugged me. Firstly, Yu Dao and Cranefishtown had merged by the time of LOK into Republic City and were both located in the East of the URN. Republic city should also be located a bit more to the north as seen in the intro of LOK. Secondly, the misty palms oasis is located far more to the east as a map shown in LOK depicted the desert being far more to the east aswell, the place where you have placed the misty palms oasis is actually the eastern border of the foggy swamp. Thirdly, Zao Fu also doesn't controll that entire state, it actually only controlls a small state to the west of the swamp as the territory you have depicted it having is actually the state of Gaoling.

Fun fact: Probably first video mapping animation ever was presented in S02E05 ("Chapter Five: Avatar Day"), when Avatar Kyoshi was speaking about conquest of Chin the Conqueror.
