In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). I like how she answered follow-up questions with the same 3 word phrase, even though she didn't have to.
Being from Canada, I don't know most contestants that end up on the show (outside 8oo10c regulars) so it's always a treat to get introduced to these ' _new_ ' celebrities.

At this point, Little Alex Horne might be in my top 10 favourite people on Earth, and I am including family members in that.
I get that. He’s only beaten for me by my mother, father, best friend, godmother, godfather and myself. So I guess that makes him 7th.

As soon as they asked what Irish person you'd like to see on Taskmaster I couldn't help but think about what an entertaining train wreck Dylan Moran would be. I know he's not _actually_ his character from "Black Books" but let's face it we all would love to see that indignant, frustrated energy.

When I first heard who the cast was going to be, Sophie was the one I got most excited about. Totally unpredictable, speaks her mind, funny, and interesting accent. After watching this video, I am still assuming she'll be my favorite this season, though I'm pretty excited about most of the cast. I hope she calls Greg an oaf to his face. She can be the "James Acaster" for this season yelling at Greg. I'd be up for that.
She was the one I'd never heard of. As someone else here says, she could bring a bit pf Fern Brady-ness to this season.

She's an intelligent one. Will be interesting to see her do tasks. The task didn't mention putting the balls in the correct bucket, Alex had to add that rule.

This is exciting. I've noticed in the past that when these interviews start to come out there is usually another season of Taskmaster not long afterwards.

I really want to see Bill Bailey and Richard Ayoade on TM. And Jimmy Carr, he deals so abysmally with vulnerability. 😂
Those would all be great, but also I'd like to see Taskmaster take on more contestants with physical disabilities (like Rosie Jones, Chris McCausland, Alex Brooker, Adam Hills, Josh Blue from the US, etc.) just to issue a challenge to the show and Alex.
@@OriginalCaliKitty I’d love Alex Brooker! Not the biggest fan of Rosie Jones because it feels like she goes for the most obvious joke or for shock value most of the time but I only know her from panel shows, not sure what her own stuff is like. I’m not familiar with the others unfortunately.

Not being from the UK (but visited many parts), my friends and i have a challenge every series to guess the english accent. This one was bit difficult as you can get in the region but miss the exact accent.
To my ear she could be Johnny Vegas' sister.

how did Alex come up with all these crazy tasks?
Obviously I understand that this isn't a real task but it doesn't say that 'their' buckets are the same-colour ones so if Alex had insisted on that I would have accused him of ball racism and segregation. Or I at least would have collected and stacked all the buckets before getting the balls and then just stood putting them in at chest height.
My thoughts too, if all the buckets are stacked, just pour the balls in, they're all in every bucket, technically. technically right is TM right.

Why did none of them put the buckets together?
Because they were distracted by having to make eye contact with Alex while talking to him and listening to his instructions on how to answer. And because they're all wearing contraptions on their head which are massively distracting. Happy to help with other obvious answers.
A true champion would have thought of it….

@@kischtrine Not in the usual way but do you think he looks the way in every day life? I think his voice was a little softer and posher than his real life one too, but we'll see for certain in a couple of days. It's just my initial impression from what little has been shown.
@@Elwaves2925 I was at the recording for s17 e 9 and I didn’t have the impression he plays a character. But I don’t know him very well so maybe I can’t judge. As far as I have learned. The Dracula outfit was not meant to be a „character-thing“

I've got too much fish. I almost live alone, I do have a "wife," but she doesn't eat fish I've always been easily persuaded into large transactions, now I've got too much fish. I could try and dry or preserve it in some way, but I wouldn't really know how to do that.
You could cut the fish Into thin strips, salt it then slowly dry it in a fan assisted oven on very low. then store it in sterilized airtight containers. Then later rehydrat and use it in many delicious recipes. Maby even take the opportunity to cook up something nice n reconnect with the "wife" White wine goes good with saltfish.

I think this was my least favorite interviews because of the setup, too much task and not enough interview. But that's not saying much, cause I still enjoyed these

David Mitchell won't do it, Jimmy Carr's too busy, Ayoade I'm not sure about since they almost got him, but he had to drop out because of Travel Man, so it is a possibility now unless he's said he doesn't want to do it, and this is genuinely the first I am hearing of Justine Stafford

The interviews are fascinating, but the task is becoming tiresome to watch. It's so awkward. Not one of their better ones. The only one so far who seems to have gotten into it so far is Nick, who is an absolute joy to watch.
