Mat’s in the driving set of the all-new Tesla Model 3, and he’s about to find out just how different it is from the previous generation.
But first up, let’s take a look at what’s changed. When it comes to the design, there are slimmer headlights up front as well as a big central vent in the bumper. There are new alloy wheel designs as well as some specially designed tyres for the car, and around the back, there’s a set of new taillights and an updated bumper. So all-in-all it looks pretty similar, but Tesla claims this is the most aerodynamic car you can buy from its range, which helps with its efficiency!
As a result, the new Model 3 can travel further than the old car. It Long Range edition comes with the same 75kWh battery pack as before, while the Standard Range keeps the same 57kWh pack. However, the range on the Long Range car has now been increased from 374 miles to 423 miles! The car also comes equipped with two motors to produce 490hp and 490Nm.
On the inside, there are a number of new features. The seats now come with ventilation, and there’s an LED light bar that runs along the side doors and across the dash. The stalks have also been removed from the steering wheel, with indicator buttons now added to it.
All-in-all the price remains pretty similar, so you’ll still be likely to pay around £42,000 for an entry-level Model 3. But is it worth it?! You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

      @Hyrppa95@Hyrppa958 ай бұрын
    • @@Hyrppa95Yes, they are indeed quieter but as already mentioned by someone else. This is often due to the fact that manufacturers learned how to use the noise from the transmission, as well as the engine, and tires to cancel out interior noise. Think if it like noise canceling earphones, where the noise coming in is reduced but often not gone entirely because it is canceled out with a similar but opposite sound wave. When you synchronize the cars harmonics you can basically accomplish the same thing with less sound deadening and other materials. In an EV you don’t have the luxury of having a traditional noise engine or transmission to cancel out other noises. This leads to people often noticing noises in EVs that they would have not noticed before in a gas car. My method for getting rid of this noise is to just turn up the radio!

I regularly get 315-320 miles out of my Long Range so I recon that with some mindful long distance journeys, the new 3 will easily achieve 360-370+ miles … the interior looks great, can’t wait to see what the dash customisation options are for the trim .. many have said they shouldn’t have taken away the indicator stalk; I don’t really get on with mine so looking forward to using those haptic ‘buttons’ (think I’ve got that right!). • Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I understand when you open the boot the tail lights go up with the boot - is there any lighting at the rear at night to notify other people you are in your boot? or Hazard lights...

  • You should have conpared it to the 2023 or 2022 old model. Tesla has made significant changes to the old model from 2019 to 2023. So We can’t really tell if it is an improvement or the same, since the comparison is with an old year model.

    @adiomari2802@adiomari28028 ай бұрын
    • There is not that significant difference between the 2020 model and 2024 model. Performance is the same. Intiror is closely matched. The front of the exterior is the only significant change. On the back lights, only some bits were removed. Like Watson stated in the video, the ride quality is very similar.

    • We have a 2019 and 2023 Model 3. There are small differences, but not in the noise and vibration. The acoustic glass is a marginal improvement. The new interior is nicer. The older car is slightly faster. This brand new refresh seems like a bigger step up.

    • Lol people who think this car is quieter and more efficient I have some climate change to sell you. 7:50 listen to the guy. There is no difference as you will still feel the rough roads. He keeps saying “I think” it’s quieter lol. Model 3 is best used as a nimble smart go cart with stalks. This fake luxury shit they’re doing is the same Apple iPhone tactics. Ripping every one a new asshole 🤣 clueless masses anyway …Best car to buy is probably 2022 performance or LR with USS…

    • Tesla has speakers laying around everywhere so they added 2 more to this lineup 😂 He listed stalks being removed as an added feature?? Wtf There’s probably like 3 things… ventilated seats, rear screen , and hardware4 which is trash anyway. Anyone who has any brain cells left can see through this smokescreen. Like I said. Best vehicle right now is probably 22 lr or performance w USS

  • The lack of indicators are a deal breaker. As a Model 3 Tesla owner myself, I drive around roads where quick use of indicators are a must. i.e. turning right into a road shortly turning left. or Signalling to exit a round about. Already a little annoyed I have to keep my hand on the stalk to quickly change indicators. But at least they are in a static position. Now imagine if I have to hold the buttons on the wheel as I change directions, while turning the wheel. Talk about rocket science.

  • One reason I’m considering purchasing this car in 2024 is the removal of the indicator stalk. Australian and Japanese cars, the cars I am most familiar with, have the indicator stalk on the right hand side of the steering column. Whenever I drive a car with the indicator stalk on the left hand side, inevitably the windscreen wipers come on as I try to indicate where the car is going to go.
