  • I really appreciate what she said about needing to show up. I've been intentionally going to my keyboard and playing at least some sort of chord progression and writing it down every day, occasionally every other day, for the last couple weeks. I did one in the beginning of May, then toward the end, and then picked up my pace. I have poems, but I struggle combining lyrics with chords/melody. It's true what she said about following what other songwriters do, writing it in their style. It teaches you new ways to handle throwing in unique and cool-sounding chords or melody lines. Then you make it your own, so you're not copying anyone. Thank you, Olivia. :)
