Bass deliverance is clearer and deeper on the Sony. It's more an overall balanced sound. JBL is loud for sure

Thanks for this review. It helps me to inform people buying speakers at work. I have had many Sony products over the years, some hit and miss. I was curious about this speaker. I have the Go2 and Go3 and like them for small speakers, but this seems better for about twice the price. I may get one. I still like my Charge4 and may get a Charge5 soon.

I think the JBL is clearer for the vocal frequencies. I agree the Sony sound is cleaner though. The phone sounded good through it too. Nice review,

They both are great. The Sony is more for your desk/room/travel with while the JBL is meant to be wore with the clip on a hike or on a bike.

I agree on Sony being better overall sound quality. I got an old UE Megaboom I have been rocking for a few years now and time to upgrade to a new desk speaker so time to do research.
I have the XB 12's from a few years ago. It's not the best in terms of volume but it does the job. I think the thing that puts it over the top compared to other speakers is the fact that it's pairable with another speaker, giving you a true stereo experience. You'll have speakers that sound better on their own but you can't pair them with a double. That feature sets the SONY XB series apart from it's competitors. if they ever were to fix the volume issues with these models while keeping the sound integrity these would be truly impressive.
Jbl let’s you pair speakers in stereo and party mode. Almost all companies do that. Tribit soundcore Bose jbl. Why you lying?

I bought two of these and paired them as a stereo. At max, the sound is great with no distortion!!! I love eeeeem!
I had the og jbl clip, for a small speaker it sounded epic and had many functions like a built in aux. Then had a flip 2. Served me well but wasn't too loud in bass. Now I have a Beats Pill+ and it does sound good, but not 250 euros dope. luckely I've bought it when it was on sale
The longer strap vs that little clip looks more versatile also if you're on the move.

So I just got the jbl clip as a present, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. I wouldn't buy it for the new price, but if u can get it below 30 bucks u got your money's worth for sure

Also with the Sony depending what surface you put them on you can get a deep bass..I think it’s the way the vents are at the bottom..if you put your ears where the vents are you can feel how deep the bass is
Sometimes it causes the surface to audibly vibrate. Which sounds horrible and is just bad design.
@@JerkyFraser nothing bad design about that tons of speakers/subs use different surfaces to boost the bass/sounds of the speak, its the reason the the sony tends to sound way better than the JBL

Agree! But you should be more specific because w King has quite a few very good Bluetooth speakers. D-8, d-9, and a couple of newer ones.(I know there's a 70 watt speaker maybe it's the t11. And a party speaker). Alan Ross does terrific reviews on the w King speakers.
I have personally used the d9. It is literally twice as loud as the soundcore boom. It lists for $90 and it's 60 watts but I got it on sale for 60 bucks at launch. You have to play it loud for it to sound good though. Doesn't have a lot of value as an indoor speaker in my opinion. But I paid $65 for it on sale and it is so freaking loud. It has a great passive radiator too. For some songs the bass will literally have the entire thing jumping around like a frog. I still would probably recommend the soundcore motion boom to most people just because of the app support the battery life and how lightweight it is. But w King is one of the more compelling budget speaker companies. And they are releasing a lot of new products it seems

I went to best buy about a week ago and listened to both of them i respect your choice but I definitely choose a jbl Sony wasn't as loud and clear as the jbl. In my opinion! Great video bro I always choose my tech based on you!

Most of the time the JBL is the clear winner, but trust me, when it comes to these small ones, the Sony is 100% better.
The Sony wasn't loud enough for me at work. I had to keep it tied to my shoulder to hear it. The JBL seems way louder.
Just purchased the JBL Clip 4 and JBL Charge 5. The Clip 4 produces amazing audio for its size

I have the xb12 and it aims too much bass down onto the surface, sometimes causing it to audibly vibrate.
Sony has the best sound quality but I'm still loving that design from JBL! I wish we could have Sony's better speaker sound quality with JBL's Clip design

@@gargieagnihotri at full volume it’s great for the size, it will fill a room nicely, outdoors it won’t sound as loud, but that’s with any small speaker, the good thing about the Xb-12 is that it has an aux port, the xb-13 doesn’t, but overall it’s a great speaker

Just got the clip 4 and honestly I’m loving it, my girl and I always go for walks on the park with our dogs so the convenience of just clipping it is really nice, and the sound is great too, bass is not going to blow your mind, but no one is really buying these small speakers for their bass imo

Phone is not a big deal to me..... but the design of the JBL is what drew me to it.... waterproof, and can clip onto spots within the shower.... also can clip to bikes, belt loops, bags, etc.... much more versatile. The Sony unit doesn't sound appreciably better to me, personally, and it's form factor is undesirable.
Sony is waterproof as well it doesn't have a clip but it has a strap. The sound of the Sony is way better and if you combined 2 together it's even better JBL can't do that. If you see it clearly Sony is winning in every category just the clip is better in JBL but Sony had the answer for that, the second best thing the strap so whatever you want to hang the JBL you can hang the Sony as well.
@@DroneDaysgr JBL boombox vs Sony XB60 , I chose the latter. Sony's sound quality is just proven good.
I own both of these. I always go for the clip, just because of it's versatility. Once you roll with the clip for awhile, you can't go back. I clip it on my tool belt at work , and jam all day.
Thanks for another great comparison video. I would go with the Sony xb13 no questions. I also just bought a jbl clip 4 and will be returning it immediately. It is not useable by a blind person like myself. The JBL clip 4 has no battery level indicator except for some lights on the speaker which doesn't do me any good at all. The battery status doesn't show up on my today screen like all my other bluetooth speakers. The JBL app doesn't work with the clip 4, because if it did, then I'm sure the battery level would show up there. I might have to pick up a sony xm13 once I return the JBL clip 4. Thanks also, for telling which speaker you were using when you were doing the sound tests. Again, as someone who can't see which speaker you are using, that does help a lot.

They both sound great! I guess the SRS-XB13 are an evolution of the SRS-XB10, which I have, and they sound excellent. They also have a good margin for equalization.
Anytime I need to shop around for something always trust in flossy before purchasing

Strongly agree with you Bro, Sony sounds way better. High are more defined and clear, Mids are well tuned and not outlandish. Bass are Deeper and pronounced. As per the JBL, yes its louder but the overall sound is dispersed like its coming from everywhere. Bass seems like just a midbass. I think its more built for podcast. SONY Wins!!!
