    • He gives no respect to Edwards here! He makes out that the KO was all his own fault, and gives no props to Edwards for disguising a kick that he couldn't see. And the way he talks about the fight after the first round you'd think he was doing whatever he liked. That wasn't the fight. It was a real fight. A real fight which he was clearly winning by the fifth, but it was a real fucking fight. All he gives Edwards is that he 'gave me a 20 min nap' and basically characterizes the rest of the fight as him ragdolling Edwards. I mean, what video are people watching here?!

  • I knew usmans backstory from a documentary and felt for him, and saw his fights and new the dude was up there in the talk for goats. This interview just shows how he's a genuinely good and humble guy. How he said that the only thing that upset him about the KO was when the camera panned to his crying daughter got me in the heart. How even after all the personal shit Colby said about him, including talking about his father, and he still praised Colby, he even said he thinks he's a good guy and you can tell he meant it. He laughed naturally while Joe talked about a meme of the knockout. I respected his confidence how he said "when I get the belt back" without a hint of arrogance, just stating a fact. How he debunked the claims of "it was lucky", and said, "no, he got me, it was a perfect move". Just the fact that he turned right around and was on this podcast, and didn't try to hide from it. This is how everyone's mentality should be. Put everything you have into what you do, and then you can hold your head high without shame, win or lose. Usman is a champion in the ring and out.

  • I have never been a fan of Usman’s personality, but always respected his prowess and dominance as a fighter. As a fan, it’s always interesting to see how a fighter responds to a loss. Kamaru took this loss like a pro, which is something many others haven’t been able to do. Can’t wait for the rematch.

    • He’s confident to the ego maniac stage. Moving his head side to side with those facial expressions as he recounts his actions is strange, he’s acting himself like. And maybe he was drug tested at 5am to actually catch what he was doing. He seems humbled because he knows he couldn’t win. Not because he’s a humble man. Just my thoughts. I didn’t gravitate to him at this interview compared to the previous one , feels like he’s not telling the truth here.

Note on the full length interview how he refuses to speculate on how many are doping in this current era, and then volunteers to give his estimate before usada and he said 25% maybe 😂 Joe was like na man it was way more than that. His body language here tells a lot. He doesn’t even acknowledge the pain of losing. He has detached from it and I personally feel through psychological empathy with the guy that he’s not being honest. Maybe usada were told to test him at 5am for the very reason Joe says - the half life is too short. They weren’t just being difficult haha

    • That what I think he means tho. He was trying to put himself in situations where the expectations would be that he would lose because the pressure of being the P4P was getting to him. Nobody would expect him to beat Canelo. If he lands a solid punch people would say great job. When hes fighting in welterweight the expectation is that he must dominate, AND it must be a banger of a fight.
