  • Trevor Bauer was selected as the MVP of the month on July 11th, and on July 14th, he won the right to participate in the all-star game plus one vote with the highest number of votes ever. He has a difference of more than 300,000 votes from the players who participated in the WBC, and will be participating with the support of Japanese baseball fans and his Vlog registrants. Trevor Bauer is an indispensable figure in the Japanese baseball world, and he is greatly loved by those who love the Japanese professional baseball league.

    • @@Lewis-me7jr His hard work and fighting spirit are well received in Japan. At first, he struggled to adjust to Japanese baseball, but overcame it and achieved two complete games that captivated many. That's why he can participate in the All-Star Game with an overwhelming number of votes. Had the call to votes come sooner, he would have qualified on his first ballot.

  • Anyone else notice that Trevor is becoming a better all around athlete? Stronger, faster, and much more coordinated. Japan is treating him well.

    @jameshughes8522@jameshughes852210 ай бұрын
    • I think its because Japan seems way more hands off. The USA would have 10 guys with camera and clipboards going over every pitch. Here Trevor is able to do more of what he wants to do when he wants to do it. His training practices and throwing is all on his timetable and no one seems to care.

    @Cahier18@Cahier1810 ай бұрын
    • This is a great comment! I think some American adult fans still have that passion you speak of, but, unfortunately, a lot of American baseball fans thrive off of negativity, which is very toxic and, in my opinion, insufferable. The St. Louis Cardinals have a player who is retiring at the end of this year. His name is Adam Wainwright. He has played exceptionally well his whole career, but this year hasn't performed as well as the fans would like, and they have driven him off of social media from the negative comments. He is such a likable and good person and has the most competitive drive and hard work ethic, but some fans have chosen to drive him down instead of lift him up. I think those same attacks from some fans in America towards Trevor came in those couple of bad innings he had earlier in the season and people have counted him out because Americans are lazy and only look at one or two headlines from a small stretch to cast their judgement on someone. They don't have a passion for the game. They just have a passion for drama and negativity. I wish those fans didn't have as much of a voice as they do. I believe the passionate fan base in America still exists. They just don't get as much recognition as the fans who point out the negatives and complain about things. I respect and appreciate your and the rest of Japan's passion for the game, and I hope it can rub off on some American fans and let them find the fun and passion of the game again. Thank you for your comment! Best wishes! ✌️

  • Mr. Bauer, Shima sushi in Nojima Park between Oppama Stadium in Yokosuka and Kanazawa Hakkei Station is also famous and delicious. I want you to go there when you are in the adjustment pitching 2nd team. Besides, it would be a shame not to visit Dobuita Street, home of the Maritime Self Defense Force and the US Navy's 7th Fleet in Yokosuka. You can board the battleship Mikasa at Mikasa Park, and you can go to Sarushima, which was location scouted in Laputa, in 10 minutes by boat. Yokosuka sightseeing is also recommended for locals. Please take Kamichatani and the others with you.

  • Was in Kyoto back in 1990, what an amazing place!!! When baseball is done you really should try and climb Mt Fuji! It is an amazing experience and definitely get the walking stick and stamp at every check point! Keep up the great Work...Love watching you.

    @PapaDealt@PapaDealt10 ай бұрын
    • In principle, Yamanashi Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture, which manage Mt. Fuji, close the mountain every year in mid-September. In fact, it is possible to pass through, but it is not suitable for climbing Mt. Of course, the mountain cottages are not open in winter. Since the mountain is over 3000m above sea level, the temperature near the summit drops to 0°C in autumn and winter, and the road and mountain surface all change to ice. Snow mountain climbing equipment is essential for climbing Mt. Fuji in autumn and winter. In autumn and winter, the sunset time on the ground in Japan is around 16:30. Due to the physical strength, equipment, and experience of mountaineers in winter, it is difficult for non-experts to make a round trip from the 5th station, which is accessible by car, in half a day. There are many climbers who fall to their deaths every year. For details, please search with the keywords "富士山(Mt. Fuji)" and "滑落(Slide)".

    • @yoshikurakino yes it is a very difficult climb. I did it in June or July. I actually lived at the 3500ft of Mt Fuji for 3 1/2 years near Gotemba(sp). It is such a beauutiful and powerful force in the Japanes landscape and culture.

  • 21:11 The sushi restaurant that Bauer-san and the others visited in Kyoto is "Sushi Iwa," located right near Kyoto Station. It's a famous establishment that Steve Jobs also highly praised. Somehow, I feel that Bauer-san and Steve Jobs share similarities in their dedication to their work and other aspects.

  • Just so you know, real wasabi has no sharp kick to it. In the states, they use colored horseradish paste as wasabi, since real wasabi is so expensive and we’ve gotten used to the horseradish taste

    @newenglandbass@newenglandbass10 ай бұрын
    • That's not true. The biggest problem was the wasabi dissolved in the soy sauce. The correct way to eat wasabi is to put it directly on the fish, not dissolving it in soy sauce. Grates the wasabi, puts it on the white rice, and pours soy sauce over it. It's pungent and delicious. Incidentally, eating raw fish and wasabi together is not for stimulation. It is for antibacterial purposes. Wasabi has growth inhibitory effects on Vibrio parahaemolyticus, Salmonella, and O-157. So we put it directly on the fish. It is the wisdom of people in the age when there were no refrigerators.

    • @@TheMakoyou Wasabi sold in tubes is mainly horseradish, so I think it's true that the real grated wasabi at a Japanese restaurant isn't as spicy as Americans think.

    • @@TheMakoyou Your opinion is also not true. If you eat oily fish species or parts together with wasabi, the stimulation of wasabi will be alleviated and you will feel the high-quality aroma strongly. The debate over whether or not to put wasabi on top of sashimi is irrelevant. putting wasabi on top is a silly practice that started in recent years, and there is no mention of putting wasabi on sashimi in the literature of the Edo period. Historically, it can be said to be the propaganda of those who commercialize manners. In the first place, even fishermen eat sashimi with wasabi dissolved in soy sauce, right?

  • I liked your Kyoto guide. Thanks! Kanazawa Ward just by the Dock is also a historical area. Older than major part of Yokohama for being a part of Kamakura, the medieval Shogunate capital, and being a renowned scenic spot until it was industrially developed. Seto shrine just by Kanazawa Hakkei station has a small but good exhibition room. Also Syomyoji temple and Kanazawa Bunko medieval historical museum are good to stop by. I live in Kanazawa so it was exciting to know you come around! The fireworks festival in August as well!
