Great man - He was so kind to talk to me about his approach to resilience
I was a huge fan of his during his playing days. Now I admire him as a man.

damn.......
This is so fucked up Shane on the NFL man you gotta take care of your legends who made the league what it is
The nfl discards you like a bottle cap once you are of no use to them.
The NFL makes money hand over fist with no end in sight. Take care of the former players that made the league what it is today.
Perhaps we shouldn't play the game? No law against it, just knowing that if you play, eventually you will be all on your own dime for medical that arises. It isn't likely that the teams are going to fund an NFL VA medical organization. It certainly isn't the government's job to do so. I knew one of these longtime NFL players. Felt terrible for him. He was on the only never defeated team. That didn't help him so much in later years. Few Offensive linemen mad huge bucks back in his day. Certainly not enough for the type of care they would eventually need.
Yea all that money he was getting was zero support. What a joke.
