Hey really love your videos I started watching you about a week ago and i am really enjoying the content. Heres a video idea that i wanna see so badly, do a comparison between turtle beach stealth pro vs stealth 700 gen 2 max
I’d like to see that as well. I bought the Pro’s and was very excited, unfortunately that faded pretty fast. I ended up returning them. I didn’t find them very comfortable, sound would crackle and kind of cut out. I hated that volume wheel and honestly for me, the Gen 2 Max is the best sounding headset I’ve ever had. I know sound is subjective but to me the sound and basically everything else on the Gen 2 Max was far superior.
I bought the tb 500 after your recommendations then have just upgraded to the 700gen2 max to go wireless. Both brilliant headsets for FPS
Techne always posting the right videos when I’m looking for something new. Greatly appreciated! I have the Logitech headset, if anyone is considering it, it’s a great headset. Really crisp sounds that you can determine, like someone reloading. Great build quality as well. But it is a heavy headset so long gaming sessions it can get bothersome, you do kind of get used to it tho

which wicked cousins work best for the turtle beach recon 500? or does it matter?
My main FPS is theHunter Call of the Wild (it's in 1st Person and you shoot) and I find that certain headsets are a lot better for what it needs in terms of spatial awareness, sound stage, the boom of the rifles, footsteps of both you and what you're tracking, plus the background noise like wind and chirping birds. I still haven't found the perfect one, but I've found some that come really close to what I'm looking for when playing that game.

Great recommendations! I would like to add to the list is the Philips shp 9500. It is kinda old but it is very budget friendly with incredible soundstage and still relevant and competitive with today’s headsets. You can never go wrong with these 😉

Good choice actually , I having been trying quite many gaming headsets in the past few years, Penrose x, nova pro, turtle beach gen2 , stealth 600 gen 2 max and so on, my final idea is that: if you want no lag, zero latency and best quality of sound, get one dac and go wired , then the choice will be pc38x, Epos h6 pro and VZR , that ‘s the final solution 😂

i just got the recon 500 headset, but the right ear didnt work. so it only played sound through 1 ear, later on it was fixed and it sounded amazing. an after i extended the headband size the right ear didnt work again :/ i tried it on any device and its no difference. i think ill return it and never buy from TB again

Running a Blackshark V2 X through a Soundblaster Audigy Fx V1. With FxSound also installed you can EQ this headset really well and brighten it up while cranking out some decent sub bass through Creatives' software.

Probably because they’re trash lol. But seriously I’ve tried all the Astro’s $150 and up and hated them all. Some of their more reasonably priced ones might be good but their “premium” ones are anything but. For the better part of almost a decade now they’re only top tier to mostly people who don’t research this stuff. You won’t find many serious gamers or gamers who care about overall sound quality using them

@@peopleskillz I’m rocking the Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 max and I absolutely love them. Sound is great, especially for immersion in RPG games. Very comfortable too. Techne has a video on them.

I own a pair of G Pro X and have tried my friend’s Blackshark V2. Even though they both sound great, their soundstage and imaging are poor. I prefer wired headsets cuz I can plug them into soundcards or DAC but, to my surprise, the best sounding headset around this price point is G535 Wireless (BT ones are not as good). But the build quality is nowhere near G Pro X.
What about epos h6? They are on sale now for 80 bucks

Keep up the great work Out of the 3 headsets the Logitech has by far the best imaging for FPS games However, if we’re talking budget headsets, I would go for the Turtle Beach Elite Pro 2 with super amp. You can get that now for £100 and sometimes cheaper and it’s a proper headset with excellent imaging and accurate bass, mids and highs. It’s budget now, but it was once £200 and beats any headset out there for imaging including the latest Audeze Maxwell and SteelSeries Nova’s

The closed headphones for me are much more precise and stronger when it comes to wanting an enemy or knowing from which direction the shots are coming, but the open ones listen better to the game environment, birds, wind, etc. And I say this because I have a Logitech G Pro X and PC38x Open Back, If I had to play God of War I would choose PC38X, and for csgo Logitech G Pro X, I also noticed that if you play car games the closed ones are better, the open ones don't sound like you have the sound inside your ear, but like you are at a certain distance and that makes the sound of the engine sound less powerful to say the least. manner. I don't know how to explain it, for example if I use my Logitech G Pro X and I listen to the typical ASMR that sucks my ear, I hear it as it would be in real life, as if someone was sucking my ear. And if I hear the same thing with my PC38X I hear as if they were sucking an ear 2 or 3cm from my ear, as if it weren't mine.
I got a turtle beach recon 500 from your old videos for 20$ ( with shipping ) I am pretty satisfied with it but if you get some decent sound amplifier it will be much louder.

@@BandanaBandieto in this price range like 20-30 $ there is no competition you can get used or open box for 20-30$ .I don't know your budget but under 60$ this is the best you can get but if you go up there is some other better headsets in 70 to 120$ price range
I am guessing you got about 50 $ so yeah this is your only good choice if you save some more bucks you could get some decent sound amplifier for 10-15 $ and it will be much louder

I had to choose between sleelseries arctic nova 1 or recon 500. So I ended up with recon 500. .. so go watch some videos compare headphones to each other,which would you like or be more useful to you. And choose 1 there is more choice than this 2 just have to increase your budget a bit
I have the G Pro, it works ok for me. It's the most expensive headset I owned so I can't compare it with something else. What could have been better is the cushions... my ears barely touch the inside, it's not pressing a lot, but it's still annoying.
I have the g pro X wireless and got the Brainwavez angled hybrid ear cusions. Super deep and comfortable

Mine were so good BUT they have a flaw. This headset will last that 2-3 years and then the right side dies. Bought a second one and same 2 years and dead. Then I decided I don't wanna support this sort of products. Also... Repairing these are a nightmare.

For around 50$ I would recommend the Corsair HS50 Pro. I got them a couple years ago and I was quite happy with them. Better than the HyperX Cloud II I had before. Then the pleather only lasts one year with my sweat and I can't change earpads and got the Blackshark v2 and they're better, but almost twice the price.

If you can step up and maybe find them on sale I’d throw a recommendation for the Gen 2 max. Best overall headset I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a ton. Even the TB Pro’s. Sound amazing and so comfortable

For console Turtle Beach all day as I personally think Razer products suck with console. But on pc you’d probably be fine with either one. As I haven’t tried either of them, especially on pc, I don’t want to give you a strong yes or no to either. Just that turtle beach is more tried and true for me.
My strong recommend is the Turtle Beach Stealth 700 gen 2 Max

The Logitech are too old and bad quality. Same with Astros. The Razer are great and HyperX has a lot of options under 100$ with much better sound quality.

Brother, audio quality and sound precision do not go hand in hand. People who are looking for gaming headphones are looking for the best positional sound at a low price, I understand that there are headphones of 500/800dls much better, but not everyone wants to listen to music in 4k hdr, they just want to know if their enemies are coming from left to right , up or down.
