Hi Techne, if the winner is outside US I think you may consider have him/her finding the best deal of the headset from their local online retailers (or just restrict it to Amazon stores on his/her country). With this you can pay similar price as it would be bought in US and the international winner can get the prize by just paying the local shipping cost and avoid expensive international shipping. Just a suggestion, if this works for you

Whats your favorite low ball budget headphones? I got recon 70 as free on side other purchases i made for kiddos, did put them on the test later in evening as a joke and i was suprised, i felt like no 25$ headphones has right to sound this good. I still remember days way back when you bought some thing this cheap it was not good at all.
@@winha1435very true, honestly. I use a 20 pounds plus headset that is not popular but has dependable surround sound yet some people say the audio from 50 pounds headsets from popular companies are bad. Some people just expect too much

I loved the HS65 review of yours just like the HS80. It fits my preferences and the mic felt a lot awesome to me compared to other ones. Thanks for the great video. I felt a bit bad when I was skipping some moments as I noticed the time table names.
i’ve used hyperx clouds since 2014. i bought a pair of cloud 2s in 2017. like you said it would be nice if there was a volume wheel, mute button etc but otherwise they are a GREAT headset. super comfortable, great sound, and a very solid mic. zero complaints from me

I really love the Corsair HS65 headset... the superior build quality seems like it would be enough already, but wow!! they sound like they are good in all categories. Love your content as well.
All due respect there’s nothing superior about the build quality of hs65s I’m currently sat with duct tape keeping it together from falling apart down the middle of them cause it kept snapping everytime I take them off and on my head cause they have no flexibility also not to mention I spent £90 on them and they are made outta PLASTIC very misleading comment man!

@@brosnotfunny3893 with the Corsair usb surround sound they come with it sounds like a movie theatre in your ears very loud, boxy and no distinct noise that you can pick out all noises kinda blend in, so what i did I used the hyper x 7.1 surround sound adapter that comes with the hyper x cloud 2s and it’s was perfect I can pick out footsteps from a mile away and every sound has its own noise that I can pick out it didn’t all blend into one, id suggest picking up a hyper x 7.1 adapter to combo with it

Overall I would pick Corsair HS65 or the Razer Kaira X, but aesthetically the Logitech headsets are really appealing!

I love the Razer Kaira X. The thick and plush cushions on the side just look so comfy. My current Turtle Beach Headset is broken. So whenever my friends are arguing, it sounds very one-sided.

Great video as always, if it's possible, it would be nice to have videos about every price range. My favorite one is defenitely the corsair hs65, it just looks so prenium for the price! Right now I have philips xh2r and don't get me wrong, it's amazing, but I had to get a hyperx solocast too so it cost me $300 Cad and I kind of regret not saving myself some money and getting something with a better bang for bucks. I will probably just wait until they break in like 4-5 years.

i think the one i want the most is the HS65s. they look like the most durable and comfortable headphones i have ever seen. i also really like how you described the sound of them and they have intrigued me. i currently play games with my pair of akg K240s and am worried about sound leakage while playing games when i go to college. i also like the design of the headphones but i would've preferred if the mic was detachable because i already own a mic. also heres a joke: there were three friends who became stranded on a deserted island and one of them found a magic lamp. the guy rubbed the lamp and out came a genie. the genie then said "thank you for freeing me. as thanks i will grant each one of you 1 wish". the first man said "i wish to go back home". the genie granted his wish the second man also said "i wish to go back home". the genie also granted his wish. the last man said"man i really wish my friends were here". and the genie granted his wish

I recommend taking a look at the newest revision of the HyperX Cloud II's made by HP. They aren't as good as the older model made by Kingston that you have there.

Just bought my own cloud IIs. Didn't come with a dac but It does have the volume wheel in the cable. Absolutely loving it. Also have a steelseries arctis one for Xbox, the pressure on my head with the steelseries is entertaining though and the cushions are so soft. Not sure what I'll go with next. Maybe another pair of steelseries or corsair. Speaking of which, I absolutely love the corsair HS65 and HS70. P.S My cloud II can remove the 3.5 cable and I can adjust the volume and mute the mic on the volume wheel that's on the cable. Also the mic is detachable too.

Why did you do a mic comparision for the blackshark v2 X, but you didn't compare them fully in this round up?
Great video. While it's not the new kid on the block, the EPOS GSP300 with a MSRP of $79 is an excellent option. I've been thru a lot of headsets, watched too many of your videos, and settled on this being my favorite headset under $80. (I'm also in love with my Razer Barracuda wireless, but it's above the price point).

I personaly like the Razer Kaira X. i currently use the razer blacksharks with the USB sound card and i love em.
i highly suggest you take a look at the Sennheiser HD660 S, i know you prefer closed back over open back headphones, but these are really something else, they have incredible bass for open backs, and the sound is absolutely perfect in every way, though thats personal opinion, another amazing thing with them is the sound imaging, im rarely able to pinpoint stuff ingame with sound alone but these i have zero issue with, ABSOLUTELY worth checking out, even with the price tag.
I want to say that my favorite is the HS 65 , however I have the HS 60 now and the software gave me lots of issues so I had to use 3.5 instead of USB. Now I don't know if I should trust in Corsair again 😬 Amazing video Techne really like the way you review your products . Much love from Lima Peru!
I had the corsair hs60, and I think they are amazing headsets, with some comfort and material quality issues, but otherwise, good sound and micro quality. I bought the corsair HS65, and I had a bad experience. All the reviews I see say the headsets sound amazing and one of the best mics ever. I have to say that the audio quality can be good, but the volume that the headsets give is very low, which totally spoils the sound quality. Likewise, the microphone is said to be the best, and I agree that it has quality, but again it has a background noise, which totally spoils the quality of the microphone. Finally, the corsair headsets still have a bug that makes a lot of noise out of nowhere and the solution is to remove the USB. In my opinion this is a very serious error, because it can damage people's hearing and it already happened in the HS60 and they still haven't solved it. Please has anyone had the same experience with the HS65, or were mine broken?

Corsairs HS lineup is so good, definitely the best gaming headsets for the money.
I really love the HyperX Cloud 2 they look very good quality and very comfortable and I’m a big fornite gamer and I need a nice headset also trying to get a pc so would like to have a nice headset I do also love your videos keep it up man
When I head budget I run to the video My favourite is the hyper x clouds I’ve had them for over 4 years until they eventually broke on me (kids were a little rough with it) I’d buy one again in a heartbeat it’s price Is an absolute steal as the wireless ones are a little out of my price range and may I say THEY ARE STINKIN COSY!

First of all thanks for making this videos, i really watch them all even if i'm not buying nothing at the moment! I saw a new video and i said "i'm gonna put it while I'm changing the earcups of my HS60" and man, i'm having a REALLY HARD TIME hahaahah. I know here's the HS65 but i think Corsair follow this kind of trend. For those who like to do some "wicked" customizations, idk if i can recommend the HS65. The Corsair HS series sound is absolutely amazing (i've had the 60 and 70) but if you guys like to change earcups, i've read/seen that the Cloud II are easier to change.

I love great sound quality, clarity, little bit of oomph from bass but also the band “comfiness” is a major contributor for me as despite having hair, sorry Techne 🧢, I feel the band tension on my head as I’m very sensitive for band pressure on my head especially over time it gets worse for me 😢😡
i right now have the corsair void elite USB and am thinking of changing it what do you think do I chnge it to the hs 65 or hyperx cloud 2 or logitech g pro x which one is better and should i even change it it is woring great but my problems that the mic is so loose and it is so huge on my head and my friends tells my that my voice is low so the mic sound is low waht do you think guys shoud i chnge it these are not big problems and it is working great for me and i think i can fix the mic problem what should i do and if i should change it what should i change it to
Any mic I try sounds bad because my PC has some sort of interference in the ports so I’d go with the G335 for the looks and comfort. Great video I was able to watch half of it at least for the most part 😎 hope that’s enough for rent.
One crazy youtuber I watched used to go fishing with only his zowie mouse in hand and I was amazed. Unfortunately I later found out it was clickbait... xD. I think the HS65 seems to have the best value in this price range! Love the videos papa Techne! :D

I'm trying to decided for PC use between the Turtle Beach Recon 500 and the Corsair HS65. The thing I'm on the fence about is the Corsair 7.1 surround. The software looked cool with the quiz config. But does the 7.1 really make a difference? I'm thinking for FPS gaming. I presume no 7.1 surround on the Turtle Beach except for maybe what the built in Windows Spatial / Sonic for headphones may provide. As far as FPS gaming, can you tell where sounds are coming from better on the Corsair? Is it worth the extra $ for the Corsair and it's 7.1 software? Thanks

@@prelude6985 I got the white camo turtle beach recon 500. I really like it. Read about software surround sound. It just tries to fake it. So I decided not to base my decision on that. I can't remember, but TB has a certain way the speakers are made that I thought look like a good idea, but I don't remember what it was. Anyway I like them and recommend them.

Corsair hs65, it seems like it has the best sound and mic combination out of these headsets, It also looks the best sitting on your beautiful bald head. Also love the videos, ive been watching for while and they have helped me pick almost every headset I’ve bought. Thank you Techne. Was waiting for this video. I think am going to like the spicy Corsair HS65 - and not Kraken X (lol Kaira). Don’t have full hair so might be just right. My second pick is Kraken X (lol Kaira). I have V2X right now and is not comforting after 2 hrs of play time. So hoping HS65 does it. Also V2 X sound is just too much. I use discord a lot while gaming so HS65 mic is also awesome. Yes video was long but love the unscripted versions. So natural. Appreciated it. Also like your creativity in naming the chapters 😂. Can’t skip lol.
I used to own the Astros A40 loved them but too expensive. When I broke my Astros A40 I bought the HyperX Cloud II for $50 and wow the best headset i've had.
Recently my sister broke into my room and broke my hyper x cloud x that cost me $100 at the time and I can’t really afford a new pair and I’m trying to save up for the black shark v2 x or Corsair hs65. Because they look and sound great.

I love the Logitech G435. I didn't want to get more than one pair of headphones. I like them so much because, I can use them for my computer and phone. I also love how they are wireless! Now I've just got to save up 😭
