People dont realize small updates are better than large ui changing updates. More focus on smoothness and efficiency of the system is always appreciated 👍🏼
Why change UI at all every year be like apple and add features that actually matter
You can have both
efficiency and google services cant be in the same place LOL
Google can't properly do either. Can't feel any difference from A13. Battery life - crap, scrolling in apps - crap, camera - noise problems (I'm not even mentioning video). And that new Pixel is nothing really new, except a few small things and bigger price. Welcome to the world of Google products.
@@1stFraVe what phone are you using?
I like the tap and hold change on the lock screen because it helps prevent launching when you accidently touch the screen.
imagine not having a feature that is on samsung 5 years ago
Nahhh it's time consuming, iphones have it for years .. I never liked it I prefer the tap not the long press
@@wheely4405 It's literally a one second long press. I don't think you'll miss your shot because you had to wait one second to open the camera app. However you might certainly miss your shot if you accidentally touched the wrong app icon on the lock screen and opened the wrong app, then had to go back and open the camera app instead. That would definitely take more than one second.
i use the wallet shortcut pretty often and i got used to the short tap, the long press feels slow
@NOLATechy on Sammy phone u can customize double tap and long press on power button 😁
This is easily the best comparison video I've seen regarding 13 vs 14, thanks so much!!!
I was just waiting for your video update. Excellent as always!
This video was incredible. Excellent work. Thank you for being so comprehensive.
Extremely helpful, as usual. Thanks!
Great comparison video, thanks for the breakdown. Really helpful!
Thanks for the information! I'm currently awaiting an update nonification on my Pixel 7a, but I can't wait to start using some of these features!
I truly believe that the features are made to the new Pixel devices. B'coz Im using PIxel 6 and most of the features are not yet available after the update. A few customizations are there. Hope Google will bring some more changes in the upcoming security patches atleast (for the old pixel devices) !!!
I've been using these features for almost 2 months on a 6a I've been on beta a14 now I'm on beta 1qpr of a14 and have all features
Same for 5a here
I have a pixel 6a and have this
Great video! Very informative with descriptions. Thank you! I'm downloading right now.
Been waiting for this video all day. Might as well get you doing the google events.
Great video as always!
The tap-to-open-clock from the quick settings update is so much more convenient. Similar to how it is on OnePlus devices (I missed that).
I'm astonished that it took them up to Android 14 to do that.
In my Xiaomi Mi9t, i used to open calendar app by touching date under clock. I hope this feature comes to Android 14 too.
@@thisisartman it was in android 11 and they removed it in 12. It was better in 11 though because you didnt have to pull down notifications.
That was a quick upload! As always these breakdowns you too are second to none.
Always so detailed, thank you!
I was waiting for your video about the new features of Android 14. Thank you very much for your great work and your time!
This guy dig a deep well to the update.Amazing work.keep it up🎉❤
I was waiting for your video!!!! Heck yes!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Great review and explanation/comparison video!
Fantastic details of every change!
Great video! Thank you
can't belive how much effort went into making this video, i've been a sub since you had 5k subs, very happy to see how far you've come as a result of your determination and hard work. Good job man.
Another great video👏👏. I find your videos super detailed and useful! Thank you!
This is awesome, there were some things in here I didn't know you could do with the old version! 😂
thanks for the review, you are the best, I have already updated too
Great review, how did you change the color of your tiles? Thanks.
Man I love your content!
Thank you for the video! Very comprehensive and informative
I loved how he opened his lock screen during comparison among the devices without blur and used a blur during the confirmation of lock screen pin..
Exactly lmao
Thank you so much for the deep dive. Wonderful detail!
Great intro Emad! Great, Detailed video as always. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa
Nicely done!
Great job on covering this! I installed last night and thought about your update review. I am happy with the changes. I don't think you mentioned it but you have a slider for font brightness in the lock screen settings. Keep up the great work!! 👍👍👍
Is the heating issue still there on pixel 7a after update?
@@theoryexpressMy Pixel 6a became 🆒 😊
@@theoryexpressno it feels better after update battery and hearing issue
Very interesting and detailed comparison. Great job!
Amazing explanation. Thanks a lot!
Good job man!
I'm disappointed that they did nothing for the chat bubbles. They got rid of the Call Bubble, which was objectively better for functionality as well as accessibility, and replaced it with a stupid Call Chip that does nothing.
Yeah...
The notification pill is less annoying to people who dont like some kind of persistent notification that floats around.
@@lloydpbabu you had the option to hide it. The removal of the feature took away the choice. The bubble was always easy to notice, easy to access and easier to dismiss.
@@musicac90 I mean, the notification was always present in the notification shade, the exact location of the current Call Chip anyway... so, you had both options. Regarding the "toyish" comment, that's a personal preference but you could turn off Bubbles in the settings so 🤷🏻♂️.
Call and notification bubbles are stupid... why would anyone want to use that instead of just tapping the notification bar??
This really is a quality review of Android 14
Thanks!... are there changes under the hood except the (pretty minor) UI changes?
Wow, Emad, you have chosen exactly the right name for the channel! Impressive and thorough in depth analysis of changes. Brilliant. Thank you very much!!!
Thanks, sir, for the incredible video. I have a question about which lens you used to shoot video from your phone's screen?
Thanks for the detailed explanation
really in depth review. i love it.
Another great video. Thanks for the in-depth detail. Keep more videos coming.
Very comprehensive video! Thanks!
Great video format, thank you!
Lots of love and support ❤❤❤❤ Awesome one Thanks a Lot
Waiting for your your video for this way ❤
ألف شكر يا معلم!! 👏🏼👏🏼
waiting ☺️
Incredible Video! One funny thing tho. You blurred the scene when you wanted to re-enter pin in settings but forgot to blur when unlocking the device 😊
Your video is sooo good. You have given the attention for every small things that is really appreciated. Good work.
It’s weird, I’m on the same patch as you, same code and everything, but some small things are missing for me, like one of the Lock Screen clock styles and the ability to hold anywhere on the Lock Screen to access the customization page for example. I’m on pixel 7 pro idk if that matters, just weird that I’m missing a couple small things. Also the zoom slider for my camera is different, again idk why
Very nice and tharough video and the comparison thing was brilliant. I just hoped if it can concentrate on the new functions more, in case there is any. But well done brother and much appreciated.
Nice work. The predictive back animation doesn't work on all apps!?
Wow! Great in depth review.
Your system update videos are really good and informative. 👌
What a good review. Great job!
Brilliant...thx!
i liked new update as i can open camera nd torch from lock screen itself now. Thanks usefuull
Great review
Pre Ordered the Pixel 8 Pro. My first Pixel. I cannot wait.
Great work man! فخور بيك كواحد مصري عالمي في الريڤيوز
Great video very informative!!
When plugged in charger, the top right of the screen will specially display the UI of current battery %
Good job!
Good explanation, thanks and appreciated 😊
Hello, can you tell me if the navigation buttons are customisable with "double-tap" and "press & hold" please ?
Being a Samsung user i can spot more and more Samsung stuff coming to pixels and Love it i think I'm ready to switch 😌
Doesn't look like my update included the ability to add the new locksreen clocks widgets to the main screen. Weird. Also they still haven't given us the option to remove the at a glance and or give us the same customizations to the native at a glance feature that's in the widget version.
poli broooo
Will the Pixel 7 and 7 pro be getting pixel 8 camera features with OS upgrade ?
I notice any time I mess around with the clock it messes up my wallpaper pairings (i use the same wallpaper on lock and home screen) is there a way around this to keep the wallpapers paired?
I was hoping they would add notification light on the front camera edges and an app cache cleaner. It's a good update on my pixel 6 anyways.
I miss the 'Clean Junk Files' option in settings. It was there until sometime last year. It just disappeared 🤷♂️

thanks for your videos, I have a question, What futures that was announced on Pixel 8 Pro will be also available on Pixel 7 pro?? will best take also be available?? thanks 🙏
This video was great. None of the other videos I saw went deep into the menus. Thanks to you, I was able to change a couple of settings that I had no idea had new options. You've got the perfect name for your channel!
thanks, great video.
Is there any way to change the back gesture to the 13 one, it looked much better before
You missed the battery expected time remaining where in Android 13 it tells only the hours remaining while on Android 14 it tells the exact time.
MashAllah brother great video as always! can you also do battery test on android 13 vs 14?
This is a real hard work👍
Can you please make a camera comparison between the new gcam in android 14 and old one from 13. Need to see if the new gcam can resolve the over-sharpening of images in the portrait mode in Pixel 7 pro.
Noticed this too, images are way better just using 5x in normal photo mode and then blurring the background through editing.
Lockscreen shortcuts - the 2 I would find useful is torch and camera - but my question is ...could they be triggered by having your phone in a pocket or purse? If so, that would be a battery killer that you would be unaware of. I think the hold to activate is sufficiently long to prevent accidental use.
You have to press long
@@amr36326 it would seem ok from my real world tests. Useful change.
So the only thing I actually found useful is putting the flashlight shortcut to the lock screen. 🤔 surely worth the wait.
Appreciate the detailed video ❤ we always wait to see these changes from you and learn😁
It's my pleasure
All nice but I have some annoying behaviors I want to have fixed. First is the wi-fi selections. Servers vary in strength and their selection position changes so fast I have to chase the wi-fi channel I need. Any changes here? Also I love always-on screen with my (custom) pics. This has been reduced to 10 seconds which is not only silly but outright stupid. Can we get always-on pictures back? Important and nice if there are two phones on the family table.
Very deep and useful information 🙏 thnkuu
Much awaited update
Excellent comparison 👍
following u from egypt😅😉
I like how we all forget that most of those features were existing when we still had the Nexus series. Still I appreciate that google is trying to get them back.
Nice comparison and explanation ❤❤❤
Very well made and detailed video . One of the best videos on android 14 upgradation for existing pixel users. Good job done
I have a A53 5G and it hasn't been updated, I want to specify that I am in Romania. Do you know when will I receive the update?
A suggestion - also upload your videos in 60fps. It will be joyful to watch these videos on higher fps
Just noticed that notification volume and ring volume has been separated. Yay!
Just dropped onto my Pixel 👍
Nothing makes me happier than being able to set a volume seperately for ring and notifications. It has been my biggest complaint when i switched to Pixels. My first pixel was a 6.
Nice features but I don't have the new camera layout on my pixel 6 after updating to android 14.
Can you make video of pixel 7 pro camera performance after Android 14 update.. thank you
