Welcome to another Don't Starve Together guide! Today's video will be a ruins rush as Wes, arguably the most OP character for rushing the ruins. Prepare for pain and suffering at the hands of decreased damage and extremely low character stats, but perhaps some of his rework might actually benefit us in the ruins? Stick around and find out.

Some people just seem to attract more than their fair share of bad luck... and even those people are grateful they aren't Wes.
In 2020 Wes received a character refresh that was largely divisive among members of the community. While our intention was to give him the proper attention he deserves, we didn't sufficiently focus on changes that really emphasize the essence of who Wes really is.
Wes now has a Balloonomancy crafting tab where he can inflate various types of balloons, including speedy balloons, party balloons, inflatable vests, and balloon hats. Wes now has the lowest stats of all the survivors, hounds waves will focus more on Wes than the other survivors, he is more susceptible to overheating and freezing, he takes longer to recover from grogginess, and has a higher chance of being struck by lightning. Wes is less efficient at mining, chopping, and hammering, but he also gets more uses out of weapons and tools. He also no longer suffers from an increase in hunger drain.
From 2019-2021, Klei has released a series of game updates available to all players, under the single thematic focus entitled “Return of Them."
"Eye of the Storm" is the final installment in this series of updates and adds the Moonstorm event, a surprise NPC character, and the Celestial Champion to the game. This will complete the Mysterious Energy quest which begins with the discovery of the lunar island and completion of all three celestial altars. It is the longest endgame quest in the game and offers a number of unique benefits to your world and character, such as infinite full moon nights, renewable moon glass, and infinite light in the form of a crown and shards.
"Reap What You Sow" is the seventh major release of updates under the Return of Them in Don't Starve Together and replaces traditional farms with a completely revamped farming system which includes tillable farm plots, unique farming equipment, crop displays, and numerous fertilizers. The system is considerably more complex but provides a system for year-round farming and the potential for highly-accelerated crop production.
The debris from the moon didn't just reach the forest. It's influence has penetrated down into the caves as well, not only mutating its already strange occupants, but opening areas that had been long forgotten. Forgotten Knowledge is the sixth major release of updates under the Return of Them theme and adds two new cave biomes: the Lunar Grotto and the Ancient Archives. It also adds several new mobs, three new crockpot recipes, and two crafting stations including another moon altar and a station for crafting natural turf.
Troubled Waters, the fifth Don't Starve Return of Them update, added new ocean mobs, foods, craftables, structures, and eight new crockpot recipes. It also added leafy meat as a crockpot ingredient and renewable volt goat herds.
She Sells Seashells went live in April 2020. An Island fragment of the moon has left a lonely creature stranded. Is it friendly? Time will tell. New features include messages in bottles, the moon fragment island, the Crabby Hermit, Crab King, new seasonal fish, the Wobster and Wobster Den the Winch Boat structure, sunken treasures, and singing shells.
"Hook, Line, & Inker" will be remembered as the big fishing update. We finally have the tools we need to go sailing and fish around literally anywhere in the ocean. This update added over a dozen new ocean mobs, three new crockpot recipes, and tons of new craftable items and structures. Most of these new additions are tailored toward the goal of dramatically expanding the fishing experience in DST.
Don't Starve Together is the standalone multiplayer expansion of the uncompromising wilderness survival game, Don't Starve. Now including Reign of Giants; adding new characters, seasons, creatures, biomes, and Giant new challenges to Don’t Starve Together. Cooperate with your friends in a private game, or take your chances with strangers online. Work with other players to survive the harsh environment, or strike out on your own. Do whatever it takes, but most importantly, Don't Starve.

Super sorry for the delay, but here are the seeds: Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
Lol what?
Ok.
Thanks for the seeds! Can't wait to play on the new endless server with it if you choose to use it. Don't listen to that guy, you make some of the best content I ever seen on youtube, looking forward to future videos! Espeically the adventure mode one.
In-game Wes is unlucky but Jazzy-Wes got a naturally spawned walking cane at the spawn
İts worst luck with speedy baloon
watching you go past the walking cane to craft a speed balloon pained me
Thank you for the quick, concise video on the ability or lack thereof of our favourite mime friend of ours. I greatly look forward to watching the following 14 minutes of end cards.
That first NO killed me. Thank you. -------------- If people made jazzy rushing the ruins as wes, can we make him cook a mandrake soup on stream? :feelsgoodman:
Amazing Ruins Rush! I am actually really happy to see some pro Wes action! Thanks for the great video Jazzy!
There was a Wes out there, one of fierce and noble origins. This Wes will rush the ruins day 2 and will have defeated dragonfly on day 7. He will have an inventory full of boss loot whilst the other survivors are just building their first science machine. He will leave trails of destruction on the paths he takes, and bless the poor souls who dare to challenge the alpha Wes. But with so much power, this Wes became arrogant, shaming the other survivors for their poor fighting and survival capabilities. He would abandon the team to go out on his own. This would be this Wes’s downfall. He brought minimum supplies in barren lands, tallbirds would tower over the Wes with only 7 health left and on the brim of starving. Grass geckos have become his main and only source of grass and food. This Wes has found himself in the rocky biome. This is the downfall of the legendary Wes main, nightfall was upon him and he had but one twig and he could not make a torch. In shock, Charlie quickly took action, and killed our protagonist.
how is svings doing?
Funnily enough, one of my quickest rushes ever (mostly thanks to good world gen) was with Wes. I had a lot of fun going through and doing all bosses as Wes.
What was your speed in days?
@@shard137 my comment was maybe a bit misleading. I always start with a RUINS rush, but this was not an intended boss rush at all. The ruins rush was I believe finished by day 9 or so. I beat Celestial Champion in about 150 days.
@@mattwalton4239 That's not bad! did you use a beefalo for ruins?
@@shard137 I did! I'm a big fan of rushing a beefalo and always do it while also rushing ruins because light bulbs are great for keeping them fed. I also just avoided fighting whenever possible in my ruins rush with Wes because I didn't want to deal with the extra time each fight would take...I think I only fought the Bishops at the complete station and AG.
Reminds me of Joeshmocoolstuff's endless bosses and ruins survival series. A must watch
The notorious pumpkin ruins run.
I love your content! Every time I think of dst KZheadrs I think of your channel, thanks for making such great videos that make dst a bit better!
I love how he ignore the walking cane next to the portal
I usually ignore boons on challenge runs.
@@JazzysGames do you know the odds of a walking cane boon? I’ve gotten one once but have never gotten one again
I dunno but I've only seen it like 4-5 times ever.
I loved the intro, like “no” straight, forward and understandable
Thanks for the short 3 second answer isntead of putting it at the end of the video very cool
I feel like the more players rushing, the harder the rush is. I was playing with Jakey and there were 10 terrorbeaks or so at all times.
me when I see the title: no Jazzy when I click on the video: no glad we are in agreement
Omg I’m a Wes main and this video is just what I needed. Love your content Jazzy!
I've played every character, and yes, although it may be more difficult to do certain tasks as some, it is possible with all of them. Its all about how much experience you have and how you plan it out. I went from barely ruins rushing as WX to coming back to the surface from a scienceless rush as Wormwood.
lol i was coming into this video thinking on word and you said it😄
I loved those first 15 seconds, was the better.
the legend, Mr Jiblitt
i have a dev graveyard set piece in the caves in my current world, but never seen any set piece or something like that in the ruins. nuts!
Love the thumbnail 😂
Jazzy reminds me of that dude from the incredibles 2
Love the into
I like your intro man.
Your ruins rush videos are nice, I've wanted to see how you would manage a warly ruins rush for a while, especially with youre extra warly experience from thrill of the grill.
Hi Jazzy, That developers grave yard…. Is it being in the ruins good? I just found one near like 7 slurtle spawns but don’t think ghost would do anything slurtles? Any thoughts on that set piece in the caves?
Damn! That Wes got drip!
The funniest intro lol
Bro you mega pro
I'm telling ya wes'es biggest strength is his luck. And no one knows why.
I have a question about ruins rushing. When you rush ruins, do you clear all the enemies and collect all the resources in the ruins? Like gems, gears, and statues. Or do you get only the necessary stuff and leave? My problem with ruins rushing is that I try to kill all the enemies, and that usually requires a lot of healing. If your answer is clearing all the enemies, I would like to know how do you do it with only 20 blue caps. Thanks.
gg for 25K
Maybe you could speed up the AG fight with the speedy balloon, since it gives a bigger boost than the club?
Bat bat also buffed used by Wes
Yup! I talk about that here.
0:01 yes
I noticed you said the seed would be in the description but I don't see it, I would love to check out those ruins myself if it's available anywhere!
Ya my bad. Here ya go. Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
Not going to mention the walking cane boon? No? Aight.
You should try megabasing as wes
A WALKING CANE?! Out of SPAWN??!?!?!?!?
Look we are sry for making you do this
If you were to end the video with the know I would not have been mad I still gave it alike
You ain't gonna pretend like you just walked past a walking cane in the start of the run. That hurt me so much
Wes is so OP
Best character in the game, for sure.
Never thought I'd see anyone rush ruins with the best character in the game
Thought you were going to try killing fuelweaver 😆
why did your mole worms go from yellow stale to green when you crafted the moggles. sus 3:39 they were yellow stale. along with 4:46 but at 5:04 they are fresh unless im missing something it seems that you spawned them in...
You can feed a moleworm minerals to restore their health, my accusatory fellow
I've always believed lower sanity was better than higher sanity, at least to a point, since you do go insane easier, but getting out of insanity is made Exponentially easier because of the incredibly low breakpoint.
At least it got reworked(acient guardian)
Yes it's possible
The walking cane???!??!!
As long as Toadstool...? That fight took less than half as long as I took to fo Toadstool...
Apparently, you've never heard of the man, the myth, the legend: xX brokentoe Xx
Is it just me or can I not find the world seed in the description?
Because I didn't post them! Here you go. Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
omg jazzy i need the seeds for this worldgen. i can't find them in desc. :(
Ya my bad. Here ya go. Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
@@JazzysGames thank you.
On your point about AG, i desperately hope they rework that fight because as it stands i have no reason to cheese it since it's just extremely repetitive without cheese, and with or without cheese this is nowhere near as engaging as any other fight.
Indeed, a boss fight that can accurately be described as "big rook" is definitely something that needs some work.
i see no seed?
Here they are. Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
Jazzy whenever you get the chance can you put the seeds in the description or pin a comment with them? I'm assuming you forgot
Here ya go: Overworld: 1642952806 Caves: 1642952830
@@JazzysGames Thank you! ^-^)/
Imagine if it was fr 13 seconds long
yea you can rush ruins. after you spend 25 days taming a beefalo
i watched this video after the 2nd time i watched _can wigfrid rush the ruins ?_ (lmao)
You could try Webber he can be very fun in the ruin because Webber can destroy everything with a spider army and thx for the video jazzy(:
Is Jazzy's ear pierced?
this video was sponsored by James Bucket probably...
In my dreams.
@@JazzysGames have you ever seen Bucket and MrGiblet in the same chat before? 's all I'm saying
One of the first (if only) ads I'd be excited to watch-
Dude you kind of look like Wes
