Why should they waste their youth making money for people who don't care about them?
Who says the CCP doesn't care about them?
Cuz bills needs to be paid dum dum
@@larryg1902 the youth don't need bills
Oh wow... That's universally applicable... :)

Somebody tell the Brits. Brexit has destroyed the future for youth trapped in the UK.
Having that attitude can only guarantee a complete collapse of the system, with maybe no hope of any future!

@gigwalnutz1527 do you realize how much countries owe them?
They aren't "giving up on life" they're giving up on a governmental system that doesn't care about them or their livelyhood. They are choosing a life theyd rather live. As an American i approve, rebel.
Jesus said that the world will end in a similar way as it did in the great flood. People will rebel against God's design for moral living and party till they are escorted to hell. I hope so considering the insane legislation in America for the last 40 years
I honestly teared up a bit when I heard the lyric. It's such a powerful message.
The youth in the U.S are starting to feel the same, hyper inflated housing, stagnated wages, and loss of purchasing power. We have a serious issues around the world it seems like.
Its been the same for over 20 years its not new welcome to the world buddy
The problem is that no one actually wants to address these issues and treat it like a serious problem. Higher costs of living means lower confidence in the future. The high cost of health care in the US makes it a question of "should we have kids" to "can we afford to have kids" is representative of the problems faced by these countries. Constant attempts to cut labor to show "gains" isn't helping things either.
That's not true for everywhere in the US. It's mostly in the larger cities. If you're hunting for your dream job or career, they tend to be in major cities. But, midsized and smaller cities need those same youths and can provide decent pay as well as decent home prices. The comparison of the US to China is like comparing the color blue to the number seven. Another difference is that US grads can go overseas as highly skilled workers without those countries fearing potential IP theft or sabotage. Chinese nationals tend to have negative connotations in the tech, medical, and business sectors due to a few bad apples.
America only? Canada, ireland, germany and the netherlands have a housing crisis as well. Millenials in any developed country is fucked.
@@kineticstar interesting take, I can agree. I think you can live in a mid sized / smaller city on $70K or less. I am also interested to see if these issue’s ever get addressed in the U.S. Do you think they will ?

@@sarahforest3015 Do you often walk around in a fog of false dichotomies? Can you not envision a situation wherein someone can make that choice without "someone else" paying for his keep? Maybe you should ask some CEO how many of his yachts and mansions were bought with tax money that millions of people are spending their last years trying to earn back so that they can leave the machine and live for themselves for once.
@sarahforest3015 How about the fact we could take care of our own food and shelter a lot easier if we weren't being enslaved by the rich? They deliberately make it hard to access both. We could solve homelessness and hunger but choose not to so they can hold that over our heads and force compliance.
I love "Let it Rot"; it's so very much like Malicious Compliance. "Don't protest?" Okay, we'll just... do nothing.
It’s actually so heart warming to see the Chinese people standing up to the CCP.
They are standing up to authoritarian capitalism. Even here the likelihood of our children ever finding financial security is extremely low, it is an unreasonable expectation unless they inherit appreciating assets or are extremely lucky. Its not very big. Its 1600 square foot, 2 bedroom, 1, bath and laundry room. We have updated it over the last couple of years. New metal roof, new log cabin style siding, remodeled the bathroom and kitchen to a more modern style. Total for remodel was around $22,000. My Dad and i did all of the work. So, roughly $36,000 into this house. We had it appraised a couple of months ago. I almost passed out. It appraised for $214,000. Small town in Kentucky. Crazy
Awesome!!
Yea ain't no youth gonna buy that shit
This was nice, but what does that have anything to do with this?
@@agridulce3532 I think he's emphasising how insane the housing market is for the youth to buy up into.. he's essentially calling his dwelling VERY humble and for the market to price it at that is insane to him even as the owner..
Yup, I myself started a family and went to buy a house. Looked at the price from 4 years ago. It was 82,000$. Last year in August it was 125,000$ while nothing had been done to improve it whatsoever.
At one point in time, it was the economy that existed to serve the people. Now it is the people that exist to serve the economy.
Insightful! Thanks, man.
Its happening everywhere. After covid everyone knows that there is something ominious brewing, so everyone said "fuck it".
True sh!t
Plus seeing how they had zero security in more ways than one. We got so spoiled and let them take advantage for so long because we had security. Once the illusion of security was gone and the 50% we pay of our earnings on all taxes combined isn’t showing ANY proof that us paying it is doing any good for us Americans some people started to wake up. It’s being stuffed in peoples pockets who HATE us and want to take more. Thank god a lot of us are waking up to it and adjusting accordingly. But the ones who aren’t and will argue with you that this is the best economy in history are waking us up even more thinking were we this brainwashed? 😂
Once our illusions of job and national security were erased most of us woke up and realized no more making others rich and putting off our own goals. 87,000 irs agents was a response to exactly that.
Once obvious lies became good and the truth was demonized and we saw how brainwashed some were we were done. Have you ever argued with someone who’s 100% brainwashed to their lies? It’s legit scary.
Exact what I said except you have a better way of putting it. 😂
This is almost happening all over the globe . The youth nowadays has very little hope. Job market is saturated, companies exploit them and real estate prices are nearly impossible to afford for many

Leaders of this world are 100% disconnected from the people, frim life as a whole. They are gonna pay the consequences big time. Love and support to the youth all around the world!
They care about themselves only, how to keep their job, mostly keep milking the cows.
leaders will never suffer the consequences of their actions, they have enought power to afford a luxurious life in any case scenario
Agreed

Working for pittance has no incentive. Many young people in the US are doing the same, staying home with Mom & Dad. There is nothing affordable to move into.

I know a number of young Chinese women who have married foreigners, and have left China.
Wow, what a totally true story, fascinating!
Smart citizens ruled by dumb leaders , the future is bleak for the young people 😭
They're not necessarily dumb; they're just blinded by greed. It's sad that today's most influential leaders are all somewhat alike. It's not you vs me; it's them vs us. Unless you're part of the one percent or in a position of power, large governments don't really benefit the majority.
Yea imagine working hard and earning money, then the government comes in and blocks you from accessing your money in their banks
All the youth of the world realize they are there for the sole purpose to make rich people richer.
Wow thanks and well done.
A few years back there was a university student movement. They were doing their required reading in Communism, when they started reading Marx. It occurred to a growing number of them that the CCP was not what Marx was describing. PRC workers were being exploited. They were not allowed to organize in order to gain better treatment. The CCP was run by wealthy elites and not the people. These students then began to organize workers and put into actual practice what Marx and early socialists were describing. These students were then rounded up and imprisoned, their families threatened, and were forced into disavowal of what they had been attempting: an actual worker's party. Basically, the CCP made them renounce Marx and socialism.
We call that quiet quitting in the US. It's a world-wide movement, not just China.
"quiet quitting" is literally the term employERS use
Quiet quitting in for the West is more of an excuse to be lazy while feeling sorry for yourself your not some rich CEO- like life owes you something.

Older generations blaming the consequences of their greed on the youth will never not be funny
this is especially significant with cultures that have a deep history with Confucianism with its order dictated from Heaven in a rigid hierarchical top down - with Korea being the worse at this, China has mitigated some of this over time, and Japan partially, but Korea stuck 'true' to its flaws. Nepotism is inherently encouraged. The effective rulers of Korea are the heads of the Samsung conglomerate (and similar mega corporations), there 'elected' figures are basically puppets and fall guys. TLTR: acknowledgement for success flows/is stolen up the chain, and blame/costs only flows down and ends up with the bottom tier splintering into factions blaming each other. the rest of the world isn't clean of its own mess either.
Older generation calling younger generation lazy, soft, stupid. While they are the one who are stupid enough let usury rule the world through the bogus paper money.
How do you figure? It’s the youngest ppl that are so far in debt. My generation bought shoes at the grocery store and ate garbage soup once a week where you take all your leftovers and make a pot of soup. I see 20 year olds with a car, truck, townhouse, jet ski, boat, motorcycle and huge screen tv’s. I grew up in the 80’s-90’s and we would drag cars out of the weeds and drive them for years.
Be careful! The older generation gave you too much of a good thing
Increasing a country's debt is borrowing from the future generations and this is what all countries have been doing. The greed of the 20th century is now eating the youth and their economic prospects in most developing countries.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.
That's the entire world.
It is a mistake to promote the idea of China as being an enemy. She is our trading partner and another colour in the rainbow of colours that make the world.
Those people aren't your enemy. They are enslaved to a ruling class, like we all are. Nations are there to divide and obfuscate the real divide, people who sell their labour and people who own capital. Don't be so cold-hearted.
