My issue is that 2k seems to be stuck between a simulation game and an arcade game. They need to incorporate each of those things into its own mode instead of trying to mix it all together. The park for example should resemble the NBA street games more when it comes to wackiness and gameplay. Leave the simulation to people who enjoy MyLeague, MyCareer NBA games, Play now, ProAM,etc. When coming to the park it should be less competitive and more laid back. HATE having to deal with someone checking their phone everytime I’m on a spot just to see if I’m worth playing with or not. Just play the damn game and have fun. I’m a casual player and don’t enjoy playing with tryhards all the time.

2k22 was a w at first because the devs actually cared about a game for once but then they fell off because they stop caring or working hard to keep the game consistent and not complicated with bugs,glitches,people not getting on spots etc and also they lack of communication with the community is just awful that’s why they never had a game that had actual cooperative work with most people or brands but still people still buy the same game every year for more bugs and glitches it’ll never stop.

Kudos on the continuing development of your content. I’ve not watched all your content but this looks to be a style evolution and it is done well. The sip from the Coke was a great shot and the movement is authentic in most of the shots. Looking forward to more of this style.
2k needs to make dribbling good and fun again. Every 2k that is considered “good” like 16, 17, 19 had great dribbling at its core. Now dribbling is just people going left and right or running straight at the rim, no variety of usable moves. The game becomes repetitive when every game you play is against people going left right behind screens.
And it’s sad because this was literally mentioned 0 times in this video. They don’t even know the real reason why this shit trash now. They started to piss me off with “rewards” “park too big” like stfu we know those are issues but I’ll forget all about if they just fix the fucking dribbling system. It’s like 2k has been targeting dribbling for the past 3 years now ever since 19 and the issues still hasn’t been fixed. Dribbling let’s people get creative, creative = the game not being repetitive.
The problem is the fact that their is spam dribbles in the game, trust me 2k22 has almost all the dribbles 17 had (which are now slowed down of course) but in 17, they didn't have these spam dribbles and dribbling was much more methotical.

First off, I hate how content creators that literally have 25 hours of the day to play 2k complain about how easy it is to get to Legend this year. Like bro, it's your job to play this game... not everyone has the same time as you to get to max level. This is probably the first 2k I'm gonna get to legend because I can pace myself and not get burnt out after getting to superstar where the meter barely moves. I agree about rewards, but this is the first year this is happening. Second, yes this game still needs a lot of work but yall really act like your playstyles are perfectly balanced. Not everyone has a full team to play with every game. Not everyone has a lockdown with HOF Every Badge to play against a spammy pg. Everyone wanna complain about speed boosting getting nerfed, how about you have the same energy about defenders being buffed. You stack 4-5 dribble badges and 7 shooting badges and say that the game is easy, then talk hella trash after you green a shot off a screen with a defender that can't activate 2 badges at the same time. Then you get mad when they go for a steal when you're spamming moves and get caught with a foul because you got HOF Unpluckable. We all know 2k is laggy as hell and you have to be part psychic to play decent defense. Oh, and we not even gonna talk about dribbling. Most of yall out here double dribbling, doing behind the back moves going backwards. Last, about new content creators... everybody plays this game the exact same at the higher levels. Wanna run 2s? Spammy dribbler and a rebounder are on a 20 streak. Wanna play rec? 5 out offense and zone defense. It's boring to play against and it's boring to watch. Why does every team in the 2k league play the same? It's repetitive to have every pg average 40 ppg and 3apg. And yall toxic af too. Everyone's garbage, but it's only BS when 2k does it to you? There's no accountability.

The game went downhill when they realized they could commercialize it to the masses. People spending millions of dollars for digital outfits blew their mind, once they realized that, it was a whole new ballgame. They took that and ran with it, partnering with ALL of these gigantic global companies now. From a business stand point, genius. They're already established with no competition, they have nothing to lose. 2K had its run, it's only going to get worse and worse as long as you guys support it. As long as you buy it every year and dump money into the same digital shoes year after year so you can impress little dillon, theyll keep focusing on that...and not the actual important aspects.
The server connection errors and online user input lag should be the main thing they fix. Game is unplayable online for many players on all platforms.

A few things for me. 1. The game has turned into watching the PG shoot 25 shots from 3 while you stand around getting minimal stats most of the time. 2. Its almost impossible to grind a player from 60 overall without buying or wasting previously earned VC, almost forcing you to buy VC with every new character 3. If I play 5 games in The Rec, 3 of those are teams with mostly bots or the other team quits 4. The officiating in The Rec is broken. Especially the out of bounds calls 5. The city, period.

We need to start with GAMEPLAY issues before we address the other issues. The SKILL GAP has lessened. It is now a BUILD GAP more than anything. Before even in 2k19 you couldn’t copy Tycenos build per say and play as good as him because it was pure IQ and some what of skill to use a build. If you were a good player you were good on any build suited for your play style. Now you HAVE to make certain builds to get certain badges and it’s just all a glitchy boring cheesy MESS
That’s my biggest problem, and the community has dictated what makes players “comp” and not. The “comp” players think running left and right with a screen just to get a defender in a bad animation is what makes you “comp”. I’ve never understood how playing with the least amount of skill and cheesing is “comp” but 2k allowed it to be that way. Shit is sad.

Same engine, same dribble system, same rep system, same parks. The community has been stuck in this loop for years Call the game good start of the year, content creator hits top rep in 2-3 months, call the game boring and make "2k after legend" videos, Next 2k comes out and they praise the last one that they were hating on all year it's happened with 2k17,2k18, 2k19, 2k20, 2k21, and now 2k22
It's to keep us watching tbh. They know that's how it is. I've been playing consistently since 2k15 and as you said it's the same every year. Good at first. Then someone finds glitches and cheesey builds. They lose to said cheese. Then the game trash, etc.
Also seasons aren't a bad idea, they cater to the casual side of the community so people with school or a job can still hit a decent level obviously some content creators won't like it cause their lives revolve around 2k but that's their problem, ain't no reason why I should have to play the game 24/7 to get good rewards when 2k21 came out I had 900 hours on 2k20 and only got SS1 hell nah bruh

I was ecstatic when the game first came out. I spent a hundred or so dollars on VC alone (the more VC gap needed to upgrade is also a big mistake from them this year). I really enjoyed it at launch. I hit 40 while not having to grind hours on end daily while working full time and doing college full time. The devs actually listened to player feedback and the game felt balanced. Around halfway through season 2, the game got frustrating when the defense became sluggish and most comp guards ran 5’9 guards running blinders hof. Casual players didn’t want to drop extra money to make new “iso stopper” builds just to be fucked on by taller players. Once blinders became the meta, I stopped playing. Defensive rating didn’t matter if you were taller than the shooter. I had multiple times within a week where I clamped up on defense (80 something perimeter Rating 6’7 pf playmaking post but played like a point forward) and the guard would explosive between the legs for half a second, then when my player was glued to his hip, shoot and green the shots.. clamps stopped working even though I had it on gold. It was like I couldn’t body bump the dribbler to stop their animations, which wasn’t a problem at the start. I didn’t want to make a 6” guard just to win, especially after having to make multiple builds. I wasn’t having fun no more and quit at level 37 with 3 weeks Left. I had multiple 99 builds. After a few weeks of not playing, I erased the game and have no intention of redownloading it. Just because they remove speed boosting doesn’t mean the game isn’t broken.

The real problem is the gameplay itself is goofy and frustrating... Turnovers everwhere, bad passes hitting backboards, flying out out bounds, missed open lobs, bad releases going in, backcourt violations too easily, stepping out of bounds, Refs calling incorrect calls on fouls and out of bounds because of the challenge call system, reach in fouls stopping gameplay constantly, bad animations fumbling the ball and just looking goofy all over the place. The game is frustrating and annoying to play and there is nothing new to do or hardly new builds or ideas...
I’m glad you said it the turnover issue is so irritating and they made the defence of mycareer and on my team impossible to score against unless you literally sweat the game n try master it they’ve made pro difficulty on both game modes like your playing hall of fame I loved 2k20 and 2k21 actual gameplay after a week or so of getting used to the game I literally don’t even know why I play this one it’s frustrating as f**k

@@thrillwill5 I get his point, I started playing 2k since 2k19 and I’ve been fine grinding badges and etc but when I reached mycareer for 2K22 for pro difficulty everything was a lot harder then you’d expect, especially since the game has like 4 difficulty’s, the ai’s are way more alert and will clamp you until another ai pluck you or block you, not very easy for someone who doesn’t spend money on vc or have any badges, and park definitely isn’t going to be fun without any of that 😂

It’s crazy to me that the content creators are upset that you can get to level 40 in 2 days (which is insane btw) and I’ve given up on the game cause it’s too hard to get to level 40. I have a job and a social life. The closest I came was level 36 and even then I felt like I spent too much time playing 2K.

2k11 is the best in the series imo. Yes the gameplay is dated now, but it was great at the time. That game was full of content and care. Details as small as old school presentations made that game feel immersive.
I can say this about all sports games. I am 41 so I have been playing games for over 35 years. Sports games are cash grabs and I stopped buying them.

I see that content creators have the same problems that are almost exclusive to them. The average player just wants smooth gameplay, with realistic animations and fun rewards. The city is a great contribution to the game, it’s just too big honestly. You should be able to fast travel from affiliation to affiliation while still having quests

Yall did a lot of talking to dance around real issues. Examples: 1- the fact that you can have a 92 speed and acceleration and still get ran down by people with 50 speed. 2- the fact that every single build can get contact dunks, dribble, defense and still shoot and make 3s consistently. 3- the game comes out incomplete every single year. And it comes out with all these glitches and it takes FOREVER to patch cheese. 4- the intelligence of the AI in multiplayer modes is beyond pathetic. Sharpshooting AIs will have a widddeeeee open jumper and either wait till a defender comes or will try to go up on a big in the paint. 5- the facts that people can still set 600 screens in 24 seconds has not been fixed. 6- the passing is GOD awful and the steals are OP.

They need to take it back to 3 parks, 3 different rivals, rival events, good rewards for grinding and reaching the top (2k17 or 16 rep system works), I'm ok with the seasons to keep the game fresh ( just make good rewards), keep mayor's, and add more stuff to the game. With all that, that should make the game fun to hop on, now they just need good game play to back it up. My tips would be a faster pace game. Or just turn on 17 servers for us, since that's when I started
As a new player (and old man compared to most of you 😅) I’m in a wierd place because the game is fun to play for me, but everything around it makes it a very frustrating experience. I stopped MyPlayer and switched to MyTeam after season 1 just to play something different. But there are very similar issues in both games and the reliance on VC in the whole game is just 🤯 I could go on and on but I’ll just say there are far too many quality of life issues in 2k that stop me from playing the game enough to actually want to get better.

For me, it's the community that has a problem. Not the game. I almost always encounter toxic players when I play. The game is fun, the community (most of them) aren't.
The 2k16-17 nostalgia bias is HUGE. Yes they were good games, definitely top 3-4 of all 2Ks but people are treating a game they haven’t played in 3-4 years as something almost godlike, and perception of the games are definitely altered by all of the great memories from those games and how disappointing the games are now

First off, keeping old 2k servers will more likely be beneficial profit wise, so I don’t think they should be shut down. 2k should do some more research from the community from past 2k (like off of past KZhead videos) and they should ask the community today too about there favorite features in 2k (Twitter not only Reddit) and they should implement them into the game. Build off their best ideas instead of starting from scratch every single year. Also, they should have a dev team specifically for update and patches throughout the year and not quitting on 2k. The other dev team should be developing the next 2k

If anything, I feel like when they introduced archetypes in 2k17, was when they started to kinda go downhill. I can honestly say that in terms of MyCareer, that was by far the only time in 2k that I played more MyTeam than MyCareer. However, I think that was the start of the downfall of 2k's reputation. I think it started with 2k17 because the archetypes led onto dual archetypes in 2k18 and thus led onto more problrms involving the gameplay with the other 2ks in the future. I agree with the fact that we should go back to the 2k16 engine, as for how other stuff is concerned, I think that should be left to what the community would suggest. Only things I can say is to make matchmaking better for Rec and to base it on position and height. There should be no reason why the matchmaking has to make it where there are two centers playing together at the same time, especially when both are non-shooting bigs.Another thing is that I feel like bringing AIs again was good in terms of getting games started. At the same time, I feel like it gives teams an unfair advantage if they have a whole team of players versus a team with two or more AIs. Besides that, I think if they were to bring back some stuff instead of taking it away and bringing it back in a later 2k as a new feature, I think 2k wouldn't be in the situation that they are in now. I also think when making builds, it would help to have everything available instead of leaving stuff out to simplify it, like lateral quickness being involved with perimeter defense for example. I feel like by having everything already there we can make builds way more unique than what we usually see based on what we can edit for them. That's about all I have to say about it. Problems with 2K22 : 1. Shooting is too easy, park or rec almost every posession is a 3PT attempt 2. We need matchmaking on current gen outside of the rec and pro am, sometimes it takes forever to find games in park, also because people are overly catious about win and 3pt % 3. VC cost for builds is wayyy too high, people would play more if they could max out their builds faster and move on to the next one 4. I dont know why we dont keep events as an extra game mode you can choose from and everytime a new event releases its being added to the game mode playlist 5. There should be a bigger penalty for ball hogging or for example you play 3s in park and your team mates only pass to each other without you getting even 1 chance, there should be a penalty for that kinda behavior 6. there should be a 1v1 court on current gen outside of the stage

What they need to honestly do is start letting the OGs of this community influence future games and not 10 years from now like yesterday. They continue to make games on their own without our help. The sooner they do this the more happier we are, the more money they make off our happiness with the game that WE helped make.
It's crazy cause I'm only 21 and have no idea who ANY of these current 2K content creators are (with the exception of IKC and Agent) but most of them enable the community to play the same exact way. I may be young but I'm old enough to remember how good 2K was from 2K10-2K18 and how builds were way more unique back then. Imagine taking a break from 2K for a couple years and coming back to everyone having playshots, Curry sliding, and speedboosting.
2k19 was the last 2k i had fun on, so many memories
2k downfall started when Chris Smoove stopped uploading 2k content consistently. The game got so bad he just decided to upload actual NBA highlights. We're seeing the switch now even with you. No more content about 2k games, just thoughts & opinions. The game is BAD.
2k is dying because of content creators. I’ve said this for years. Think about it. Nobody was posting 2k21 and 2k22 at launch was the beat it’s been since like 19. Then as soon as the CC’s started playing it and complaining like always 2k catered it toward them. They cried about defense being too cheese even tho everyone shoots 60+%. Then they nerfed defense now they complained that offense is too easy and all stopped playing the game lol. One of the main complaints last year was at January they had no reason to play. They fix that with seasons now they crying about animations??? Once 2k realizes that KZheadrs are the vast minority of the player base they’ll make a good game again.

Bruh the problem with 2k is they get too many opinions, content creators sway the community into a pack like mentality and we end up asking for the dumbest shit I.e affiliations. We get it back and it serves no purpose and all of Davis's ideas are a good example why 2k shouldn't listen to any of us smh
Affiliations are a great idea just 2k utilized them poorly 2k16 for example had 3 amazing park small and simple with amazing gameplay but 2k22 brings in city which is huge with buggy gameplay and 4 affiliations with content creators being mayor who have almost no power and the game being like a rpg. These new moves are trash no snatch backs stretches again shoot over everything with defense being awful so they just patch left right embarassing how bad this game is.
Here some ideas -Cross Platform -Make the Mycourt more relevant and make it a walk around lobby for friends to start up games or chill and make it have a skate park and all that good stuff -Make all the other shops accessible from the nav -Create match making for games and a keep playing option. (Basically the apex matchmaking system) if you want to be match up to play more if not return to the my court lobby -Create a walk on ranked rec walk on for Christ sake so the people who play alone don’t have to match up with under skilled players

This Game is the biggest trash.yeah looks good, dunks good and Animations.But you have no fun. Different meters on every shot, shooting is trash, you cant hit contested shots its every time a brick, you cant hit lay ups with contact,you hit only shots when youre wide open, and this works only with Pick roll, but not well because the defense is like glue on you every time. Every Defender is like khawi You have no differents between Bad Defenders and elite Defenders. They want make the Game so realistic, but the Gameplay is totally broken. I want to Hit shots and have fun, not sweat my Ass up for a bucket.

I still play from time to time, no where near as long as I used to when it first dropped of course. I like the idea of seasons, but I don’t believe it should be what determines who hits legend and who doesn’t. I believe the seasons rewards should be achievable through mycareer, Rec, Park, etc. However, I believe the rep system should return so the park players have a reason to play. I miss the hype of seeing who’s going to win that Legend race. Shooting definitely needs work. I believe 17 had the best shooting system. I remember that I would practice my jumpshot and I would be rewarded for it in park and pro am because I took the time to learn my jumper. Essentially shooting shouldn’t be something that takes hours to learn, however I believe that if you don’t green, it shouldn’t go in, or least lower the chances of it going in. So make it a bit easier green, but it’s not green, it’s not dropping. The rec and pro am needs some work for sure. Rec needs a random matchmaking to avoid the try hards and pro am needs a better ranked system. My boys and I have been playing pro am for several years now, we’re not the best, but we’re confident in our abilities. However, we shouldn’t have to play 2kleague players within our first 5 games of making a team. There’s a bunch more of small tweaks they could make, but those are just a few that I believe could make a big difference.
They need to simplify the game, stop mistreating the community that speaks up, make next gen and current gen the same game, (like Callof duty ) But with better graphics for next gen/a little more incentives.

I think it’s just the annual releases. It’s easily the root of the problem whether it’s gameplay, performance issue, or design they all change year to year. Nowadays the most popular games are the free ones so for next gen to pay an $10 now hurts them even more. I just can’t see 2K make a comeback.

I personally got burnt out from 2k22 bc I couldn’t get on every single day and accomplish what I wanted due to school, sports, etc. If I can’t keep up with the sweats who have that time then I stand no chance when I don’t have friends who can get on the game. I play on next gen btw

Missed one of the biggest problems regardless of generation: It’s hard to tailor to both people who play only park and people who only play PlayNow and MyTeam. A patch can make one mode better, while making the other worse.
I’m glad someone said this. On 21 next gen people complained that their players moved too slow in mycareer/park, so they increased player movement speed. The park guys were happy but this hurt myteam a ton since everyone could just use 7 footers with 99 speed and zoom all over the court, so it was almost impossible to play defense

@@kordellricesnax nah it’s not a terrible concept. It’s fun, but last year was bad at times because of a huge gameplay flaw that park players begged for. Yeah they release unrealistic cards but there are plenty of cheap cards that are easy to get that can compete with the top guys
@@bradywright0408 i couldnt disagree more i played myteam in 2k20 and unless you pour money into it you struggle constantly. Also it takes away from 2k having an actual motive to make a better game because we accept money grab game modes as content. We 70 for the game 70 for every build or 40 for every new pack that drops. Micro transactions kill the motive for better gameplay and MyTeam is a huge part of the problem.
Why does everyone forget when 2k17 was out everyone complained that we had the same parks every year, they wanted new parks, new affiliations, and a new to play the game. They give us all of that and then they want it all back? This community can't be pleased. Instead of worrying about rewards why can't everyone worry about proving that have the best basketball iq in the world by beating the best comp players. That's real content and that's what we want to see.

I think 2k’s problem is that they listen to the community too much. Everybody hated the neighborhood in 2k19 & 2k20 so we got the city 🤦🏾♂️ 2k22 was different at launch but most content creators and small guard mains in the community cried n for defense nerfed. They patch speed boosting y’all cry n they got on it asap to give y’all a slightly nerfed version of it. Y’all hated the archetype system n wanted superstars n in 21 we had the 6’7 scoring machine who can do everything and pretty much became the only build u seen 🤷🏾♂️

I don’t play park much but every time I did, I always went up against that one guard who would just cross over back and forth while running atop the key, until they slightly lose their man and then pull up wit the same lefty jump shot as about 5,000 other players. If 2k want a game wit longevity, they needa either nerf the things that everybody is using (the meta), or make more things stronger

Ik I’m part of the minority saying this, but with crossplay as a big piece that the community wants, I’d love for there to be crossplay with PC as well. I came from console to PC gaming and 2k literally shows no love to us. No anti-cheat and the fact that my favorite streamers and youtubers that play 2k are on a different platform, it seems even more divided Edit: I also really wish we never went in the direction of neighborhood to then city. Idk about anyone else but I loved the park idea with rivet, sunset, and oldtown. Especially when the event day came and you tried hard to rack up wins for your affiliate to get those boosts. Its sad to say I’m not too optimistic on the future of any of these changes though since 2k has let us down time and time again

The things that bother me the most, and I feel like I have to vent in this comment section, is the absolute lack of skill gap. Here's a list of things I could do in past 2k's (particularly 2k19 and 2k20) that I cannot do in this one from playshot/myteam perspective: - miss a white release, especially when its a slightly late rather than slightly early - consistently force bump steals using good positioning as my park builds usually have 0 defense - consistently trigger steal animations in good positioning for the same reasons - consistently trigger a charge animation in park if the dribbler is rimrunning - get a good contest when i am playing perfect defense regardless of my defensive badges/attributes (blinders is a joke) - my player successfully completing a hopstep/spin move without losing the ball (basic coordination that anyone who played sports growing up can do) - not get chased down on a wide open safe dunk myteam: - complete a pump fake in the paint without losing the ball (anyone with an ounce of coordination can do this basic movement) - not get ripped consistently when standing still with two hands on the ball (this is a fundamental skill you learn when you are first starting basketball, it can still happen but not so god damn frequently) - play the good old triple threat mode, i'd be fine with every white going in as long as I still win the game and advance the board, but now I can win every single game but since the RNG factor kicked in several times during them, I am limited in how far i can advance (you cant allow more than 100 points in the new triple threat or the board resets). - unpack a diamond shoe and sell it/apply it to a player with ease, instead of having to scan the entire market and my inventory for shoe boosts/prices theres so many more things but i cant think right now. please leave some more in the comments.
Personally whenever i seen the city back in 18 I think, that’s when my mind to a shift because it was less convenient to get to the park, but not it’s just overly sized, the 2k20 park was a good size though for sure. They need to switch their style back to Conveniency, so many things don’t have to be in it to be fun,
