Look, the gaps between midfield and defence is his fault ALL season long. But, honestly, it would be suicide to play Case and Maguire in a high line. Idk why ppl don't observe that Maguire's improvement in form is also due to the play being AHEAD of him. Now, ppl are questioning his subs. We did score after he made those subs right!? Playing Amad in those central zones in addition to Scott making late runs into the box caused uncertainty. Now, how is it on the manager if your CB decides to head clear the ball right above instead of outside the box and your RB and GK don't communicate for clearing the ball. I support our manager but for those who don't, you ll find yourself telling this same thing for the new manager 1-1.5 yrs into his reign because the players STAY!!
It's crazy that it's our senior players that are letting us down
You seem to miss the point that mistakes happen if the ball keeps ending up in the United box. Liverpool make mistakes city and arsenal its just we allow the opposition in the box constantly. It is all tactical the players are under pressure and some of them lack desire. Ten hags subs are shocking in every game. He would turn it around but he needs a.very specific player profile that I am not sure he can find them. HE NEEDS A LOT OF HELP FINDING THE RIGHT FIT.
Burnley grabbing the ball to go for a winner after the penalty was peak embarrassment. Teams do not fear us at all
Even after the pen we had at least two very good chances to win the game if Bruno had kept his head

Everyone will blame Onana but that back pass header from Casemiro in a box full of players was football suicide
him being played out of position shows here. he is thinking of cushioning the header back to onana to gather with his hands but (1) awareness as a defender is not there which causes the wrong judgment (2) centrebacks who do this need to shout out to their keeper their intention before heading the ball, which i didn't see him do through the replays.

Why is it so hard to see out a match? Because we don't have a midfield. Our only decent DM is now our only CB, and the other central midfielders don't defend. Once the opponents apply pressure, they will face our defenders directly.

Amrabat went on strike at Fiorentina for a chance to play for United. Ten Hag sticks him on the bench. Amad finishes a successful loan at Sunderland, ends up player of the season. Ten Hag forgets him in the bench for 5 months while serving us Rashy and Antony (for all matches). Sends Reguilon away, sends Alvaro Fernandez away only to play AWB and Jonny Evans at LB. Sold Zidane Iqbal for less than £1m but is now complaining that we don't have press resistance in the first phase... At some point you'll realize the obvious, just give it time...

I've said this for years, the culture in the club takes over when a new player comes in, even tho we've had 13 new players come in since ETH became manager, they have ALL ended up showing no interest, yet oddly nobody could see this when Ole was in charge, in fact he got more out of his players in the PL than any manager since SAF.

Exactly mate. ETH has made mistakes tactically (despite the endless injuries etc) but in 80-90% of our defeats, he led us to winning positions and our team couldn't see the game out. Copenhagen, Galatasaray, Chelsea, Coventry, Burnley... So many examples. Managers task is to bring the players into the final 3rd. You can suggest what the players must do and when they shoot but you can't coach shooting technique and decision making.
We are also giving enough chances for relegation tier teams to score just as many. Nothing to do with the manager and his tactics ?

This game summed up our season. Nervous in defence , wasteful in attack and unlucky with refereeing decisions. Incredibly frustrating.

The first 20-25 minutes were absolutely great, United looked really comfortable, cutting through Burnley like butter, then it was back to the normal United again. We are creating lots of chances, our front 3 are all young & in their debut season. I don't expect the goals to flow, we are going to be inconsistent. The only consistency I expect is the ref to have a clanger.

The problem we had is that we didn't finish our chances, not that we "folded", folded is what we did in Coventry and in many UCL games and other pl games. But what you are doing is focusing on the mistakes that caused as the goal, when we could've went 3-0 at halftime and even more after second chance

It’s table football and just as unpredictable - other than conceding immediately after scoring . Cheering a goal is ultimately bad for your health because you know it won’t be enough.
We should not even be focusing on seeing off an 1 nil lead for 10 min. What the problem is the set up of our players. There is no way a team can be attracting all those chances on their goal and not concede goals. It's on the manager. Why hasn't he resolved this problem? We have been seeing this week in week out.
No CB in all English football leagues would have made Casemiro's decision to head back to the keeper with opponents in the box.

This season comes down to a lack of quality squad depth, no consistency or top quality in key defensive & midfield & attacking positions of the 11 main starters (except Mainoo & Garnacho) ETHs stubborness & poor communication style, poor coaching from all the coaches across the board. The first couple of points still stem from the accumulation of recruitment & financial mistakes of the last 10 years...although we're 2 seasons in with ETH & i've not seen enough to truly believe the team will see a miraculous turnaround because unless we bring in 10 good quality, energetic, hungry players & maybe sell 5...then we'll continue to see this instability & inconsistency in the team & results. I would like to give ETH the benefit of the doubt for at least 1 more year & add the squad depth we need but i dont think Ineos will start a fresh season with ETH. I believe too that ETHs communication lets him down (despite efforts to learn) - we see it in the pressers after 2 years its still unclear exactly what he tries to convey. He has however shown resilience & at least pushed the players but we all know even this season the players have let us down again.
Honestly from his penalty to that header it looks pretty clear that Casemiro doesn’t want to be here any more
Another thing observed from today's game is united's players' ability to read the game...player's decision making in game is part of the problem..you need to know when to pass the ball and pass to the right player...Anyways INEOS got a big task this summer window

The harm the deadwood are doing to the youngsters result of ten hag team selections, if we the fans can see it, then the players notice isn't blind, that's why several made choice to go out on loan or leave to better careers.
They are playing to a system that Ten Hag has implemented. You can use the players excuse as reflection but the Manager wants this system of play.
I know EtH said that we'd be competing for top 4 next season but after seeing that, I honestly think especially with his tactics we're more of a top 6 side and less of a top 4 side even with transfers.
