The military in Myanmar has detained Aung San Suu Kyi and deposed her government.
The generals accuse Suu Kyi and her party, the National League for Democracy, of election fraud.
So how did we get here? And what’s next for Myanmar’s young democracy?

    • @@emon5128 well, they are the ponds for the politic. All the killing is from General Min Aung Hlaing command. Cuz he thinks he will get the votes from the Buddhist extremist people/monks by doing this. But in reality he only got 10% from them and 10% from soldiers. Cuz there is only 10% of Buddhist extremist exists in Burma. Now he is trying to bring back Rohingya from Bangladesh cuz his childish mind think ICJ will forgive and reduce sentence.

We were afraid of what might happen if we ever protest . We are afraid of bloodshed like in the 88s of Burma. Just wanna say that we do not support the military. I believe Rohingya people will have their justice if we couldd overthrow the evil military. Wish us luck buddy

    • @@unclechinsyou8555 Former Colonial Anglo West has been consistently trying to divide Burma/Myanmar into pieces for ages. They have been watching and waiting for this opportunity at every corner and every turn in Myanmar's history since it gained Independence from Britain some seventy years ago. I may be wrong, but my gut feeling has been telling me this for a long time. Remember, Yugoslavia, the world leader of the Non-Aligned Movement during the Cold War, and what happened to that nation? Today, former Yugoslavia was divided and became six smaller nations, much thanks to the West. Slavery, Colonialism and Colonization, etc are evil things done and benefited by evildoers. In centuries-long old Colonial era, when the world was under Colonial Anglo Western control & influence; nations/ethnic groups in Asia, Africa, North & South America, were committing atrocities against one another (brother against brother, etc), all because Colonial West pit one group against another, which is the the ploy (such as, 'divide & conquer, divide & rule, divide & loot'), that were regularly used for their own Western advantages; what they call it, 'Anglo Western Interests'. It's all about 'Anglo Western Hegemony'. Do you know the fact that there are only two nations in the world that have been continuously engaged in fighting since WWII. They are USA and Myanmar. While wealthy USA, as a gang leader of Capitalist Imperialist Anglo West, would go all over the whole wide world to engage in wars, to loot bounties, and thus became evermore prosperous; impoverished Myanmar, on the other hand, is engaged in internal civil war, brother against brother, which causes everyone involved getting even more impoverished and destitute. So and so, this cycle of 'infighting and poverty' continues back and forth to this day. A sad truth indeed. Moreover, the Capitalist Imperialist West would go into the region/nation for their own interest, and then divide and conquer, divide and rule, divide and loot, pit one 'local group' against another. These 'local populace' that are used by the West or sided with the West, in the conflict/crisis/war, and when they are needed to be evacuated for one reason or the other, then the West will raise the issue about 'refugees'. This has been the case throughout history wherever the conflict the West is involved in. In fact, there were tens of millions of refugees here in the USA & other Western nations that the West brings in throughout history, past and present. Besides, Myanmar has had no politics for over two generations; so it's new for people there, young and old alike. In other words, it's easy to get fooled by the Capitalist Imperialist trick. Here in USA, the so-called 'Politics' is a little more than a 'Window Dressing' (mainly used by the wealthiest Capitalist/ the One Percent elite who are 'The Power That Be'/ the real ruler of the land), while 'Politicians' are merely 'Poster Boys' put it out as part of Democracy. Finally, Capitalist West's so-called 'Democracy, Freedom, and Human Rights', etc are just marketing terms used by the Rich/obscenely rich Capitalists from The Capitalist USA & the West to sell their game, subjugating the Poor throughout the whole wide world, and milking them for everything they can. In other words, Democracy, Freedom, and Human Rights are just marketing tools used by the Rich from the USA & the West to sell their game, subjugate and milk the Poor worldwide. In fact, a mere fifty (50) Capitalist elites from the USA & the West have more wealth than half the world population, which is nearly 4 billion. For more truths, pls read my insightful multi-pages 'Ole Fella' comment (on KZhead) at; "Aung San Suu Kyi exclusive Interview BBC".

    • Coups in Myanmar and some others around the world today are completely different from the coups which took place over half a century earlier when newly independent nations, (including Burma), just came out of centuries-long Colonialism, bitter and poverty-stricken, turned to a new deal of Social-Democratic system (Socialism/Communism). Fortunately, today's coups, in most cases, are change in political system only, while economic system are mostly left intact. Today's coups, in places like South Korea, Philippines, Thailand and some African nations; the change took place in political system, while economic system are mostly left intact.

Apparently she had her soon taken by the military and she went to protest at the police station begging to have her son back. The very next day 2 solders went to her house with a bag, that had her sons name on it when she opened the bag it was just her sons brains. Kinda really sad whats going on over there.

She came to India after her marriage and couldn't go back to her home in Myanmar for 40+ years because of the military rule, it was only after democracy came to the nation that she was finally able to see her brothers and their families after such a long time. Military rule benefits no one but those corrupt generals in power, all it does is ruin people's lives. I hope that democracy returns to Myanmar soon! Love and hope from India❤️🇮🇳

  • I am so sorry for people in Myanmar (Burma). The only thing I can say: Never give up, continue to protest, don’t let them think they have won your minds. It comes from a person whose ancestors have been in a work camp for being in the opposition, who was born in the country whose people were made slaves for 60 years until 1989 and way before when my country dissappeard from the map for 150 years. Protest and fight. No country will fight your fight for you.
