The video is missing a lot of information to reflect the issue. The Arakan kingdom is belong to Arakan people and the Rohingya are living alongside with them. But when we talk about solving the issue, we cannot forget about the Arakan people . Beside most Arakan people doesn’t call Rohingya as “rohingya”.

When King Bhuvanekabahu the Seventh was shot and killed by a Portuguese soldier with a rifle on the balcony of of King's beautiful Palace at the Royal Capital of Kelaniya, the remains of the King were taken to Trincomalee for the funeral. The Arakan Temple monks took part in the funeral. The solution is actually easy... 1. Myanmar government must stop all the persecutions. And there should be a middlemen between Rohingya and Myanmar to bring both parties to table. 2. Rohingya must stop the rebels and give oath of loyalty to the new country which is Myanmar and they are given a citizenship. 3. If Rohingya keep holding on to the old British promise that is just wrong. There is no British in Myanmar. It has been an independent country since then. And Rakhine ispart of Myanmar territory. 4. If Myanmar keep pointing they are traitors or rebels during independent fights. They should let go of that too. Myanmar is now independent. What is past is a past.

Read the information given by the Portuguese Historian Query oz on the Arakan administrred Buddhist Temples in Trincomalee. Myanmar and Sri Lanka are Theravada Buddhist Countries.

@@goku5323 They were originally from Bangladesh (South Asia). They have a similar culture/language and identify more with Bangladesh... rather than Myanmar (South East Asia). They should just be accepted back by Bangladesh as they face hostility and persecution in Myanmar. At refugee camps (such as in Cox's Bazaar) their children could obtain education and better opportunites.

The remaining Rohingya in Rakhine state should convert to Buddhism as an act of Taqiyah so as not to face persecution. Their other alternative is to seek refuge in any muslim country like Qatar, Bharain or Saudi Arabia.

I think What UN needs to do are ; 1. Unhcr has to give rohingya education, it has to be number 1 goal for rohingya, lack of education makes them have bad behavior, bad behavior makes them hated by all countries who ever accept them as refugees, as the result they are rejected by all countries. 2. UN has to give sanctions to myanmar for what they have done to rohingya, the sanctions will be lifted if myanmar accept rohingya as citizen and stop persecuting them, or myanmar return arakan/rakhine land to rohingya so they can build their own country, although it's gonna be a challenge because almost all rohingya people dont have education, however difficult at least they will get back their land that is stolen by myanmar.
