The 2nd round of the World Rally Championship in Sweden was a tricky one with very little snow and ice resulting in the rally being cut a bit short with only 12 stages but i still got lots of action! This is why WRC drivers are, overall, the best in the world. No F1 driver would even come close to the times these guys set. Conversely, a WRC driver would settle into an F1 car far more easily.
Mika hakinnen and kimi raikonen both do rally and were great formula 1 drivers so sone have got the skill

I absolutely love F1. However, as much as I love F1, I will say that F1 is the most pedigree of motorsports while WRC is the most purest form of motorsports.
I don't understand how these guys can drive this damn good.

Sometimes when I tend to start to think, that I can drive really fast, I remember these guys and it's gone.

Now we're talkin'. This is how to push on limits. Sweden has the best winter and Finland summer rally in the world like you just saw. Roads are excellent and spectators are safe if they follow rules and so on.

Yes, that´s true but it´s so professionally organized and security in on much more lower level, people are on very dangerous places almost got killed every year and go right after a car on a street and there will be another right after that and then it´s panic. Roads are okay and good enough to challenge factory drivers.

One of the best videos on rallies , but best, awesome . What I like is when you see the Volkswagen Polo WRC, at full speed on the icy straight , jumping like a greyhound and braking , to get through in the curve in a cloud of powder snow, striking good , very good shot , it said, a great video.

Trust me if I tell you that it is an experience to live at least once. I am lucky to see them every year in WRC RACC Catalunya.

The grip on those tires are amazing
i think they put specially made grips on the tires.
+SuseJ Moore it's called studded tires, they also run with thinner tires then normal as it helps to create ridges and dig into the ice and snow around corners to get much needed traction

I always question this when I see these type of videos: How are you at all these places at the same time? Is there a full film crew or what? How does it work? How many cameras do you have?
A rally usually runs from Friday to Sunday with shakedown on thursday. And the usually run 3-4 stages before a midday service and then the same loop again. So i can make from 6-10 stages in a rally :) Follow Portugal on wrc.com next weekend.
They all do the initial D gutter run thing on that one corner

In the WRC they use the wide rally stud tyre that fits on normal with gravel rims, in national championships they use some that are a bit more narrow.

Román G-R A friend of mine got a 2.0l turbo seat cupra stage 2 REVO, have +400HP and a anti lag sistem, I tell you this, I driven loads of fast cars, +500HP cars but none make me feel the adrenaline that hard as that cupra, when you hit 9.000RPM and the whole car vibrates like a fucking dildo you start shitting your pants and you don't have the courage to shift up another gear because you are going to fast lol it's epic!

Well no wonder... Summer tires are absolutely useless on snow. Here in Sweden you must have winter tires (I used studded ones) when it's winter.

these drivers have a co-driver. the driver take the road before the race and maps the course and obsticles. figure out how to handle the turns and which turns are the most challenging. the navigator directs the turns.

i read in a article by wrc that vw and hyundai's chasis are the same chasis that are raced with by these professional drivers. what you see is what you get when you buy their cars.
