Peugeot 2008 In-Depth Review - A great family car | DoneDeal
This week on the DoneDeal youtube channel we're reviewing the Peugeot 2008. It's a car that has many rivals including:
- Ford Puma
- Hyundai Kona
- Seat Ateca
- Opel Mokka
- Volkswagen T-Cross
It's a great car to drive, the 1.2litre petrol engine is very responsive and quick. It's available with three different outputs, 100bhp, 130bhp and 155bhp. The version we test drove was the 130bhp and it had plenty of poke!
The spec across the range is very comprehensive, offering all the creature comforts you would like and expect from a car.
1. Accident emergency braking.
2. Apple car play and android auto
3. Adjustable seats and steering wheel.
4. Spare wheel.
It has a very unusually shaped steering wheel which we really liked too! It makes driving it very enjoyable.

Recently bought one love this car , drives with ease
I have been a proud owner of the 2008 GT Line for last 1 year (bought it in Dec 20) and I must say I have never regretted my decision for a single day. The car drives like a dream and is one of the smoothest and easiest car that I have ever driven (and believe me I have driven a lot of them :) )The only problem the new 2008 had was in the instrument cluster which developed patches in the LCD screen after some time. The company replaced it at their cost and have already replaced the supplier and so far the display is working perfectly well.
OK but what you could say if the defect would occurred after guarantee time (probably 2 years)?

Thank you, I think that is the model we booked for a rental in May 2023, always nice to have a look at it/ on the surface it looks similar to my 2017 Nissan Rogue, but I just hope I can fit in it at over 201cm tall. Should be a fun trip. (not to Ireland this time)
Nice review ,not over technical just stuck to the facts, yep may not be perfect but I think it’s a good looking small SUV….

Looking at renting this for a family of four, two under 3, rear facing child seats and need to fit 2 large suitcases and carry on. Will it fit?
The 2008 will be a future classic, expensive to buy car especially the 155bhp GT premium
It's not beyond the bounds of possibility for the 'volume' control knob to be computer linked so that it could be used to adjust the air con temperature values, or whatever option is selected via the piano keys. I'm not an IT person by any means but I have seen control knobs with this ability elsewhere. Given that the driver has the ability to control volume via the up/down selector on the steering wheel it seems absurd that Peugeot put in a control which is completely superfluous and if the knob includes the on/off function, then why not have a second knob at the othere end of the switch panel? Sorry but it's the Citroen C4 for me in January!
I just got my new Peugeot 2008 few days back and immediately noticed this missing function. Resetting AC fan on a busy road is v irritating. Otherwise a v good car and fun to drive.
What about consumption?fuel economy? Just oredered the 1.2 131 ho gt model
Amazing. They are actually surprisingly efficient! I can't remember exact fuel efficiency figures as it was a while ago since I had the car. Bur I remember being surprised!
Do you confirm low fuel consuption of your car?

Noticed the real exhausts but missed the worst rear bumper on a car since the 1970s.
Pity you cant get one in manual now so i cancelled my order .
