Captur is much better than the Peugeot, brighter inside, more comfortable, agree with the driver.
Tell u 1 problem with the Pug 2008.......that engine, has a ''Belt-in-oil '' engine...... whereas the Renault has a mercedes engine which is chain driven. Decision made.
You skiped a really important feature in the Captur about the boot and that by sliding the back chairs forwards the boot space becomes much more larger...
@@joelkyler3554 exactly, i don’t care
The wireless charger in the Renault is underneath the floating console with the floating console option. Also the little 'mobile' holder is actually for the car fob which you can rest it in :)
Im getting my Peugeot 2008 2021 in a couple of months. Actually the triangle on the sides is one of the things I like, it stands out.
It's not a robotised manual in the 2008. It's the EAT8 torque converter auto. Peugeot gave up with robotised manual boxes a few years ago.
Yeah peugeot has a proper torque converter 8 speed AISIN Toyota made automatic transmissions which is good. The Renault has a 7 speed EDC dual clutch gearbox. Source - I work for Peugeot UK
I think he's wrong about the lack of wireless charging too, there's a chaging pad under the "floating" console. As we have both a Peugeot (albeit a 3008) and a 2020 Caprtur, I have to say that the EAT8 gearbox with torque converter is always going to be a better gearbox than the Captur 's 7 speed twin clutch box.
@@davidrolfe9571 I agree with you. I would say it'd be more reliable especially if used to trundle around town which may wear out the EDC clutches. Not a problem with torque converter auto. Really pleased to hear you are enjoying your cars David.
- - - NOT, NOT, NOT ... Peuge-NOT. . . - -
@E. Mjeshtri I thought I was the only one who noticed it. He also said the Renault has fake exhaust tips, whereas that’s not the case.
I’ve just bought the 2008 gt automatic petrol but I just love the look of the Peugeot in the bright orange
Going for a Captur for my partner. She likes the Captur because it has an easy layout. My partner doesn't want sporty handling, she wants boot space and a satnav.. She's not bothered about fuss. That said she really likes the captur in Grey. My job is to make her happy. Bob, you're the first motoring journalist to tell it straight for people like my Sue. Thank you. Steve in the UK.
Thank you Bob, great video. Oh if only the two could merge with the Peugeot exterior with the Renault interior 👍 #perfect
First time I have seen one of your presentation, brilliant Thankyou. I am taking receipt of my Captur S the beginning of next week in these very colours. Got the Bise system as well but no sunroof!
You forgot to mention that the rear seats can slide forward or backwards in the Renault Captur to give more or less boot space/leg space
EAT6 & EAT8 used by PSA group cars is not a Robotised manual ... it’s developed by Aisin and is an electrically controlled torque converter gearbox ..... no clutch is or has been near that gearbox. Also the small steering wheel, particularly in the 3008 makes for a much better driving position and posture for people with lower back issues as you have the wheel lower and the I-Cockpit above it as a HUD, so you’re body is more relaxed when driving than hunched.
Getting the Captur in Dec so i found this very helpful. Thankyou for a great insite
The Peugeot 3D i-Cockpit , something that made me to buy this car over Renault Capture. It is a 3D gage cluster that will knock your socks off. Never seen in any car before. I am so happy I have chosen Peugeot 2008 GT . That triangular things are also spectacular and they are part of its amazing design. The only drawback is possible is its air con activation system which you will get used to it from time to time. I had Renault Megan in the past and loved it a lot, no problem with that . At the end of day it all comes down to personal preferences. Both cars are amazing
@Concrete Head What model are you talking about mate? 2008 GT 2021? I have recently picked myself up one , couldn't be happier! I go through a truck loads of heavy metal music on a daily basis, it is crisp and clear you just need to play around with sound settings and it's totally fine , maybe not the best , but not the worst either. Seats are amazing and comfortable enough, this Vehicle is a beast of a car . But at the end of the day, everyone is different
Love it!
Just found your video down here in Perth Australia. My wife has a 2015 Captur and it is a nice car to drive. Looking forward to the new Captur coming to Australia next month, will definitely be looking to upgrade. Thanks for your review.
Hi came from TikTok. Great review of the cars.
Hello. A really decent video on two great looking cars. My choice would definitely be the Captur, and it is thanks to the way it feels inside. As a driver, what you actually see most of the time is the interior.
One of your best vids! 👍 Peugeot is cool, especially in design and lil gimmicks, but Renault really seems better. Recently drove new Puma and maybe would be my pick of those silly crossovers. The Captur I got for a shoot, had wireless charge port and that lower cubby is for the key. For locking and unlocking all the time, just leave one door slightly open.
Glad I watched the video great info thanks 👍 as i was torn between the capture and the 2008. You've just made up my mind 👍 for me it's the capture & just loving that orange colour it's a 👍👍 for me 😀
Brilliant review on the cars....I've always owned vauxhall cars but looked at and test drove a Renault captur..loved it and ordered a RS line one should be in my hands in October!!
Getting my Renault captur E tech in December! I will choose Renault Captur any day anytime
Just the video I was looking for
The beige headliner makes all the difference to the feeling of space i think. ✌👍
Nice cars but I’m with the Renault!! Looking forward to seen the Renault Arkana when it comes out here next year!!!
Agree James, Arkana looks great!
. . NOT, NOT, NOT ... Peuge-NOT. . . .
I am getting my Renault Captur. Tottally agree same expectation i have when the first time i saw the picture. Been looking around and test driving and Renault has caught my interest ang expectation. It feels really good test driving the Renault Captur and i decided immediately to have it.
Think you’ll find in the 2008 it’s a torque converter gearbox
Two very nice cars. You're right about the Renault engine. I have an A class, and much to my surprise it has a Renault engine but , the 160bhp version. Its a great engine
Hi Bob, I have a Kadjar with that 1.3 Petrol engine in Manual 140bhp and it’s a brilliant engine. So flexible and economical. No need for diesel .... Love both cars btw
- - NOT, NOT, NOT ... Peuge-NOT. - - -.
Thanks for the reviews Bob. I don't know if it's the same there but I was surprised to find that in the UK the Renault doesn't come with heated seats on any of the Captur trim levels. You can only spec it as part of a Luxury pack with leather seats for approx £800 I think (and according to the local dealer and the brochure). Bit strange for 2020.
I noticed that too Gary. I am looking at new cars. I don't need a big car & love the looks of the smaller 208 GT Line in faro yellow. To my surprise though, it doesn't come with heated seats which is a 'must' for me. You can't even spec them as a separate, stand-alone option here in the UK. If you want heated seats on the 208, you have to fork out £1,400 GBP for full leather (which I don't like, want or need) in order to get seats that are heated. A crazy amount of money! So, I have been looking at the 2008 GT which does come with heated fabric seats as standard. Even the lower GT Line version has heated seats as standard. The 2008 is a bigger car than I need... not THAT much bigger... but I prefer it to the Captur. I still haven't made my mind up 100% what to go for. I must have watched a thousand KZhead car reviews this week alone!!! Thanks by the way Bob for yet another fantastic car review. Always look out for your thoughts on new cars & I appreciate the hard work it takes in order to bring us all the latest.
I traded in a 3yr old 3008, nice car. So I know a lot about the steering wheel, iCockpit buttons (lack of), and the auto gearbox (being a bit jerky) Got very similar trade in values on Peugeot e2008 GT and Renault Captur S-Edition PHEV. Nearest spec/spec comparison apart from one being full EV. I found I got a lot more inclusive spec with the Captur, like two tone body, dash displays, wheels, ++. e2008 was lot more expensive, closer to 4K and not 1.5K. On this comparison review, the two tone colour, and the black package (wheels) are examples of extras on the Peugeot.
Great review Bob. If I had to choose from these two. I go reno captur but not into all the chrome.
These two are the best ones in this segment.
- - NOT, NOT, NOT ... Peuge-NOT. - - -.
Great comparison Bob , these 2 are the best looking in their class , the Peugeot has a funky design that may be over the top for some , the Renault's styling is more restrained and cohesive which i prefer , love those vibrant colours , makes such a nice contrast to all the dull black , white and grey vehicles that are on every street in the country !.
Puma is quite nice as well. Rest of the rivals are either boring or just not that good overall.
Only had it 3 weeks but love my Capture 2. Moveable rear seat a brilliant idea. Digital dash matches an Audi. I have the RS line model which takes you comments up to another level. Shame you did not explore the hybrid on the Capture 2. Like is it worth it for the extra weight
My partner has ordered the Capture going from previous model 2008 because she didn’t like all the angles along the side of the new 2008 plus, the Captur has more specs inside, better seats and as she says, it just looks nicer. I have a 3008 so she is used to the styling just prefers the Captur and I, am probably going for the new Arkana, agin because it seems more spacious in the driving seat with better headroom plus, it’s just different to everything else out there.
Thanks for the review Bob which I only just came across. I do have some comment though regarding stuff you missed (which others may have already pointed out) regarding the captur. First off, you missed a hell of an important feature with the back seat. it slides back and forth (done with a very easy handle in the boot) and when at its forward position will increase boot space by 100 liters to 522. Another thing is you mention no Wireless charging pad, but that's exactly what the pad under the floating council is. And the little space you thought was for a mobile phone (I can't think of a single phone on the market today that would fit in there...) is actually a space for the key card. Re the 2008, it does not come with a Dual Clutch (the Captur does), but a standard 8 speed identical to the one found in the 3008/5008 and the rest of the Peagour offering. Also, Re the space in the back, the peugeot is without a doubt tighter, and would not fit 3 kids comfortably while the renault would. You are right though, this two cars ore top of their game in the SUV-B class.
Those sliding back seats are really important to me, because I usually drive alone or with my wife. It's so practical. I could never buy an SUV without a sliding back seat, because it would seem as if the car was faulty.
I am for the 2008 because it has more space than the Audi Q2, yes cheaper but they got the space and tyre sizing right. Its looks are on par with a Q2, more defined too
Peugeot que des problèmes
Hi Bob, You have reviewed Skoda Kamiq, Peugeot 2008 plus Renault Capture. Professionally which would you prefer if you were to buy with your own money?? Please advise.
Great video mate. Was the 2018 Capture also this good. I am getting a very good offer on it (almost brand new). What about the life on the Renault engine? I hear some complains....
Great review. Just occurred to me why do cars have map holders when it was probably 1969 the last time anybody used a paper map. Same for glove box, I can't even remember my grand parents keeping gloves in their cars, why are they called glove boxes when they are used to store only car manual with tiny space left for other junk. Two good looking cars. For me an SUV large or small is 4x4 with a diff lock option.
Always enjoy your reviews Bob, I think the Honda HRV (manual gearbox) might give the Renault a run or its money.
I actually bought a Renault Capture Iconic 9 months ago and love it to pieces. It drives like a dream, smooth acceleration and is eye catching inside and out! I was intending to but a Peugeot 2008 but was put off by the 'typewriter' keyboard as it seemed too fiddly to use whilst driving. Due to the lockdown I've done just over 2,000 miles in that time which is just enough to get a proper feel for it. Well done Renault you came up trumps!
Great to hear!
I got my new Renault Capture plug in hybrid last week here in Sweden. Drove back and forth to my mountain house this weekend, in total 140 km on 1,5 litres of petrol(!). Fully charged in town before leaving and charged while in the mountains before returning to town. Love the build quality of the Capture and the fact that I can drive fully electric for at least 50 km. Downhill from the mountains the hybrid kept the battery fully charged by kinetic energy for a big part of the distance. I'm very satisfied with my choice of car so far! Downsized from my VW Tiguan. My biggest worry is if I can do without the 4WD. 😊
Great review thanks we had same decision when brought our Present car was it a e208 has the looks and better colours but didn’t like the inside and is smaller inside and smaller boot or Zoe ze50 has better inside look and feel and bigger boot and better range and was cheaper just feels better on the road maybe personal preference but after 6500 miles in 15 weeks I still happy with our choice.
Nice review! Greetings from Cork. Will have this E-TECH tomorrow. But, as people mentioned - this is not a phone holder, is for a keys/change. Both phone holders (on top floating console and under) - has wireless charging. Only on S-Edition. But I always wander who is buying lower models, what the point? Also, Captur has 10 inch 3d display, but only as an option too. And yes, traffic in Dublin is horrible :D
Your "phone holder" in the Captur is in fact to hold the key fob, it would also be beneficial for your viewers to know that the rear bench on the Captur is able to slide back and forth allowing you to prioritise luggage or passenger legroom. Captur for me. I would also consider the Skoda Kamiq or VW Taigo on this sector.
Between these two cars which one is quitere to drive at 60km and crusing speed in highway?? Please advise
I love the look of the Captur.
Question your in the top specs .but is the capture just as good in all specs.my main concern is power is 95 ish is that gutless
Hi bob just had a Opel crossland auto for 2 week very nice car apart from the interior which is plain & cheap ! Which is just a plain Peugeot ! So would probably have Peugeot if I can get on with that small steering wheel !
Peugeot for me but I would go for a Ford Puma in this segment
You are right Bob there a plethora of SUV's out there, have to say I am looking, Skoda Karoq, Peugeot 2008 GT Line,Renault Capture, VW T-Roc and I'm waiting to see the new VW Taigo. ITs difficult,to choose but based on what you require from a SUV I have to say the one that is most practical and useful so far, is the Skoda. I think they are underrated. I will wait to see the Taigo and how much that is. The Renault to my mind looks high in the bonnet, I think the line should be just over the headlight not like 3" higher. The Peugeot, looks the better but not sure about the steering wheel and whether you can see the dials. Love the red though!
@Bob Flavin I am not quite with you: For the interior's look the point goes to the Renault - but not for it's usability! I was considering buying one because I liked the look so much but got disappointed rather quickly when I realised, I couldn't even get in! No joke! I'm only 1,86 m tall, but I am what we call a "sitting giant" (I don't know, wether there is a proper expression in English for it, but that is what we call it, when you are one head bigger than all the others while you are sitting). I could not enter the passenger's seat nor the back row, because I hadn't been able to bow my neck deep enough to get my head inside the car. I could only manage it on the driver's side with the seat in the lowest position. And even then there wasn't any headroom left. I did not have that problem in the Peugeot 2008. So: Although the Renault's inside is much more beautiful than the Peugeot's, to me that point clearly goes to the 2008.
That’s really useful to know. I’m 5’8” (174cm) so taller than the average woman but I’m also disabled with a back injury so need these useful crossovers SUVs for the height of the seats rather than the saloon cars that you drop into and then I can’t get out! Good news to hear there’s more room in the 2008 as I’ve had a 2015 Renault and wouldn’t necessarily go for it again but it’s definitely had an upgrade. Also my dad is standing giant at 6’6” or 1.98m so good to know he’d fit in the 2008 at least and not have his knees round his ears like you!
@@swainlette You should definitely try the VW T-Cross/Skoda Kamiq/Seat Arona then. Not the most flamboyant car(s), but the most spacious and comfiest in this class.
First time I hear of a newer model 2008 with robotised gearbox. As far as I know the only automatic option is a conventional 8 speed Japanese Aisin gearbox. Should I check myself or should you ?
It is a collaboration with Aisin AW but called Efficient Automatic Transmission or EAT
Picking up my captur e tech hybrid, non plug in, loved the drive, will be good if you get the chance to test one, rare as hens teeth at the moment though, love your presenting style by the way
i bought 3008 GT in white and Black. and i love. I filled the tank . But without going daft , i was getting 78 mpg . It is tremendous , done 30 miles round about town and was getting 44.7 .Which is really good. would never get anything else other than a GT thou. ITS SPECIAL...any questions i would be willing to answer. Its a good night from him, and a good night from me...sorry just seen it was 02;45.....by fir noo.....x
The Peugeot has an Aisin 8-Speed AWF8G30 torque converter unit. It's not a robotized gearbox at all. My parents have a Grandland X with this gearbox and I can't feel the gear change in town, but it's not the same engine (1.6 T 180).
We've got one in a 308 with 1.2 petrol and it is very smooth 👍
I'm slightly biased, owning a 2016 1.6 dci Renault Kadjar, I'd have the Renault and I'm totally with you Bob on the touch screen interface on the Peugeot as my wife used to have a 308 with a similar layout and though I never really drove it, it used to annoy me when if you wanted for example heating you had to navigate your way through several menus ultimately distracting you from the road if for example as you would be, listening to the radio at the time. I've had quite a few Renaults and though I've never owned a Peugeot I'd have the Renault everytime, to me it's better built and laid out and ultimately as much as I love the sound of a diesel engine, a petrol engine is supposed to be a little bit quieter even when revved and the Peugeot as someone else said sounded more like a diesel when revved on account of it being a 3 cylinder. Bottom line is if you haven't already figured this out is that I'd have the car with the big diamond on the front though I'm glad living in Northern Ireland as I do that I'm not paying your road tax as 270 Euro vs 150 pounds for the Renault is scary and I only know from Nobby on cars' review of the same car that that is the case. Good review though.
Well executed review. I’m on the Renault, the pugs small steering wheel and dark interior puts me off the 2008
I love your your tube channel!
Hi Bob, another great, honest review. I agree with you except I do think the Captur has it on looks too! I think the Captur does 90% of things well. It would be a nice touch if it had smart seating where the rear seats themselves (not the seat backs) were able to fold up out of the way. I think that some Citroens have this feature - I’ve seen it somewhere anyhow. I also wonder why more manufacturers don’t give you things like removable boot lights, windscreen ice scrapers in the filler cap and fold out washer bottle filler neck as in the Camiq. The Camiq even has an umbrella tucked into the drivers door (nicked from Rolls Royce, I believe). Thanks again from Milton Keynes - racetrack city.
Peugeot has a more aggressive styling. I’m ok with the creases on the side, I think it would look good in grey. Touch screen is probably easy to produce vs knobs, even though I like the knob.
Someone said the creases in side strengthens door so lighter skin can be used to save weight
I'll choose Puegeut. You could also check Proton X50, DFSK 500, Kia Stonic
Love the captur
Great, very informative, and honest review! Tested and considered both of these cars, but, eventually, tested CX-30 and instantly forgot that I even sat it any of these (I know, different segment, but it's almost the same size (bigger, but not by much), or so I think, and pricewise is somewhere around these 2 cars, at least here it is), buying one it in the end. However, if I would have to chose between one of these, I would also go for the Captur, but I think that it was not as quiet as you say it is - lots of wind and tire noise is what I remember. Did you manage to see all the information behind that small steering wheel in 2008? I couldn't see half of it, and the interior felt a bit claustrophobic, I was constantly under impression that the car was choking me, didn't feel comfortable at all. In Captur, however, that infotainment screen is always distracting while looking on the road, in the line of view, vertical, and keeps making you look at it. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
on the choking you say! Seriously the only car I felt that choking and claustrophobic was the peugeot 307 back in 2003 when I was looking for a new car! It had space but the feeling.........I hated it!
3:48 it just needs to be lower and everyone will fall in love with it.so much you will see :)
I would go for the pegeout 2008 or the new vauxhall mokka coming out later this year the pegeout 2008 just stands out on the outside the 3d I cockpit im a fan of but depends on your height with how you see the icockpit the new vauxhall mokka coming out later this looks great on the outside but from the photos the interior let's it down drastically like the e corsa looks like the digital dashboard was an after thought so the pegeout 2008 would be for me but could I live with the French small glove box which seems to be a thing with all new vauxhalls on psa platforms
i am for the 2008 been told blind spot monitering is not an option
As a dog owner , I would go for the Renault solely because of the much lower loading lip. Any less mobile dog would struggle with the Peugeot. That’s why I drive an estate (Seat Leon) as it’s really dog friendly .As are all estates . SUVs a lot less so. Bob perhaps you should address this on your reviews ? You could call it the ‘dog in’ section lol 😂
It’s a traditional Aisin 8-speed automatic in the Peugeot or do your country get some old leftover parts?
Great review Bob both lovely cars would go for the Captur. Like the styling and engine But I did the maths and bought a Duster top of the range 48.3 to the gallon well equipped all for the price of a Corsa/ 208, no brainier.
*Well done I love it [The Captur Friend has one] however 48.3 MPG my Mercedes (W247) B200CDi AMG has averaged 57.6 mpg over 6200 Miles and had achieved 85.6 on a 108 Mile run, average Speed 53 mph so a no brainer for me too. Engine is so quiet you would think you are in an Electric Car. In ECO Mode Gearbox (8 Speed) disengages and you coast/freewheel which adds hugely to its economy. My lifestyle is not about 0-60 or top speed (although will do 143.6 mph as have done on German Autobahns) but more aligned to Space, Grace & Pace. OK Costs a bit more but residual values after 3 years - did you really do your **_maths_** fully?*
@@GrrMeister why are you yelling?
- - - NOT, NOT, NOT ... Peuge-NOT. . . - -
Great review Bob. I love the Renault. I’ve owned 12 Renaults and I loved them all. I remember driving a Renault 12 in the 80s and loved that too, it was nippy!!! I owned 2 Peugeot 508s and the second one broke my heart. Never again Peugeot.
Hi Bob, great review my friend. Greetings from Cumbria in the UK. I totally agree with your review. I too would choose the Renault over the Peugeot - even though the Puggy is a pretty car. I just hate the idea of stupid touch screen air con activation - could be bloody distracting and should be outlawed, but that’s my opinion. We have had two Renaults and 1 Peugeot before: an original Renault 5 and the last shaped Laguna. The Puggy was a 406 estate. All of these Vehicles offered good road manors and great long distance comfort - as the Captiva. However, the Captiva maybe cheaper than the 2008 but it’s more expensive (probably) than the Duster which can be 4x4. Knowing the roads and winter driving where I live I’d be more persuaded to go to the Dacia dealership. Until next time, stay safe and well.
I'll go with Captur from the options here. But I may go with VW T-Roc or Jeep Compass...
Anyone know which variant the Captur is? There seem to be a lot.
I am trying to decide between the Renault and the nissan Juke can you please advise.
Did anyone catch what the engine on the Captur is?
Hi Bob Enjoyed the review thanks, of the two cars I think I prefer the Renault it just seemed more relaxed and comfortable but I would like to try them both. The car I would like to try is a 1.5 Honda Civic auto, my problem is the three cylinder 1ltr engines that everybody is using, not a fan, to me they sound a bit frantic when asked to perform hence the 1.5 although I stand to be converted. I used to own a Honda 1.6 vti many moons ago that was a wonderful engine, that too was frantic between 6 and 8 thousand revs but I liked it then,
Captur is beautiful inside and out. It really does capture your attention on the road
Hell noooo. I bet most agree that interior design goes to Peugeot cockpit :D
Are these suv's better than the T Cross???
I would buy the Captur Bob. Reason My wife likes the Captur, that is what she wants to replace her Mini - when she decides to change it.
Renault wins this showdown Bob! As far as other SUV’s go you can grab a really nice Ford Kuga here on the mainland for just over 10 or 11k. Absolute steal!
That’s not a phone holder in the Renault it’s for the key. The wireless charger in the Captur is under the flying console
Good review Bob you made me laugh. Peugeot for me but man that sounds like a diesel when you Rev it. If VW changed the yoghurt pot interior plastics of a T-Cross I’d pick that. 💥😎👍
Take Skoda Kamiq. It has better material inside than T cross. It is strange but it is true.
I would choose the 2008
Hi there, This video is just what I was looking for. I'm currently looking to buy a 2020 Peugeot 2008. I currently have a 2016 Peugeot 308 and I like it very much but when I had an accident repair done to it I was given a rental which was a 2020 Renault capture. I must agree with you that the interior on the Renault was very nice and I couldn't believe how quiet the petrol engine was as you mentioned in your review, however just one thing that I didn't like on the capture was the low profile tires, I was just getting to much road noise from the tires also, the UK road tax is £205 which compare to my Peugeot 308 1.6 diesel is £0.00 a year. I can't really go and have a look at these vehicles until the lockdown is over and until I drove the 2008 I can't really decide yet. Thank you very much for the very interesting review.
So what did you end up with?…
@@dgbservices6049 Hi there, I'm currently looking for either MG ZSEV facelift or citron EC4. I have test driven both of these vehicles and the C4 is very nice to drive in quiet and comfortable, however, the MG was also comfortable I'm hearing a bit of road noise from the tires but that 7-year warranty is a big plus, especially if any electronics ever go wrong.
The Captur looks a more pleasing car to be in pity no arm rest in the rear seat but apart from that its a car av decided to take a look at Nothing over the top just looks like a well made well designed family car worth a look at least and the 1.3 engine sounds lovely very impressed Thanks for a true and honest video
I'd have said the Pucup at first but after your road test that is inferior to the Renault so... Renault it is!
I still think I’d go for the Vw T-cross bob
LOL, That not a mobile phone holder, it,s for the key card...
He's just an idiot. His protruding teeth is perfect for cup and ticket holder.
I have the last version of 2008. Its a jerky ride. I thought it was because of Eco Mode.
Due to the cost of living,I’m actually trading my e2008 GT Premium 21 plate which is costing me £450pm on a pcp to a 20 plate Captur S Edition. You’ve put my mind at rest a little as to your thoughts on it against the 2008. I do like the Peugeot a lot, especially in the Orange Fusion colour I have, but gotta think about that horrendous monthly payment. Hoping I’m not downgrading as such as I think I am.
Great review, thank you. Must admit, I went right off the Peugeot as soon as I saw how the heating controls worked. A deal breaker as far as I'm concerned.
I currently have a 70 plate (2020 when the new style come out) 6 speed, Manual, Diesel Renault Captur and can without a doubt say it's one of the best cars I have had. Getting a new car this year and as weird as this sounds i'm actually getting the Peugeot 2008, auto gt line. As like your dad found out it would feel like i'm getting the same car again lol 🤣 I actually prefer the style of the peugeot body to the capture and all of its interior is what attracted me towards it as it has more of a high end feel to it compared to the capture which looks very basic in comparison, well that's my own opinion I guess.
I have a 20 plate top spec Capture. The car looks great and drives responsively.
If u lift the Renault boot floor ,there is a handle that moves the rear bench right forward ,xtra 6 inches of floor space
Good review as per normal Bob. Both these cars are on the Mrs. option list for next new car. I myself am torn on the looks of both cars. Both have their merits but, when it comes down to it the 2008 is all about the lights imo. The Captur wins on internal looks. So you pays your money and takes your choice for me. I would go Renault myself but, "she who must be obeyed" may have other views. I'll let you know at a later date. "So until the next time" etc. etc. ;-)>
I'm about to buy an SUV and am still indecisive. To be honest it is a tough decision. I also do love the Peugeot exterior, but I tested drive Renault and it is amazing. It would be nice to see a review of Citroen C4. Congratulations on the great video.
I’ve just bought the Captur to replace my old Captur I love them 😍
He also doesn’t mention the Captur back seats can move forward to make another 100litres of boot space which I do when going on holiday with 2 dogs 🐶
