    • He did that show THREE times, from my recollection…which is pretty unreliable so I may be off by 1 either way. You may know this already tho. But he was just as savage at the first one as he was at the last. My point is, they still invited him back after the first. Because it brings in a higher viewership compared to more “vanilla” hosts. Those Ricky hosting clips on YT have millions of views, loads from myself! More views than their live show actually gets. The reason for his continued beat down of his “audience” is VILE (money and views) but I wish he’d do every award show bc I’d watch LOYALLY. 😅

Gervais's performance here was at the lowest level, ever, no class, not sharp just savage agression. If he were to have an obese son or daughter who struggles and manages to get to normal weight but on the most important night of their life until that point some bully makes fun of how fat he or she, was before, would he appreciate that? Would he go pay that bully for what he did? I actually like Gervais and really appreciated his performances on the past years but on RDJ and Mel too, he was just savage.

    • He is vulgar, uncouth and confuses comedy with revenge and cruelty. Comedy is supposed to make people feel good and forget their problems. It is not supposed to embarrass and make one feel out of place or make one feel that one is not among friends but among enemies. Chairing the awards ceremony gives him a platform to spew his vitriol. The clips online had more views than the awards show in just a few hours after it happened as it was being shared everywhere on various social media sites and outlets. The conversation was mostly about what happened … not so much the show itself (outside of how corrupt it all is). One of those things that only gave it publicity because of how outrageous it was, but forever tainted what tiny little bit of an image they had prior to where it turned people away, even the people that still (for some reason) watched those vapid shows. Anyone worth their salt in terms of hosting now realizes they can be assaulted over a simple joke by a celebrity that can go on to be applauded with zero repercussions done by the coordinators. Why bother giving your time to such corrupt shit (as if it wasn’t obvious from the get go at how corrupt it all was) to further applaud and show support for that behavior? So, whether it’s the most talked about event or not doesn’t really matter as it didn’t do the show any positive favors in the long run with the general public (y’know, the people that these out of touch weirdos rely on in the first place to be able to continue successfully).

    • @@memyself898 lol. U think way too much. Do u even know him? Have you even watched him and his work?? Anyone who is familiar with ricky knows what he feels about the industry and its fake facade.

    • @@memyself898 btw, he was asked 5 times because of the raitings and public demand. Now if u know the industry you would know that they can humiliate themselves for money any time of the day. Thats exactly what they did.

    • @shaeilbabur do you know him? It's an act. If it wasn't you would never know who he was. His whole persona is being anti Hollywood while being part of it. It's shtick. They knew who he was before the first show. He's there to relate. And it worked
