  • The only team that called asking about Brady when he got drafted was the Patriots. They loved him so much they carried him for a year as a fourth string quarterback. They will even admit that it was a wasted roster spot for that year. They were so afraid of losing him that they did that. Six trophies later... #family

    • They totally wanted him. Belichick has said in interviews that the reason they picked him was that time and time again in college, he would come into the game and have to rescue the situation and get the win against the biggest competition on the biggest stages. He beat Alabama in the Orange Bowl as the QB for Michigan. Tom Brady has had to fight for every starting job he got since high school, and time and time again, he has proved himself. Yes, Brady lacked experience and ideal qualities of a QB at the time he was drafted, but the Pats were confident that he would be a really good asset to them should he continue to improve. I don't think anybody realized he would become THIS good. Say what you want about the credibility of the Patriots, but there is no denying Brady is the hardest working man in football, let alone the GOAT.

If people thought (as I did) the BB sabotaged last years SB while benching Malcolm Butler and shoving it to TB that you can't win without me, this year BB had a MASTERPIECE defensive plan and it took a great drive by TB to pull it off. BB wouldn't be who he is without TB and viceversa.

  • Belichick deserves credit for the defense, but Brady deserves credit for the drive to get the touchdown and a field goal to make it 13-3. Like a fight, two fighters can be very evenly matched, but it is he fighter who allows the pressure to affect the big moments of the fight that loses. Tom Brady, regardless of his previous performance, was always dangerous and the possibility of a game winning drive was always there as he stayed engaged in the game. To not credit Brady not only shows a lack of observation, but it shows that we just expect these things from Brady, which speaks to his greatness.

  • Colin, haven't you watched any Patriots games this year? They have used a traditional fullback in 21 or 22 personell all year long. They just can also spread you out and even ran split backfield at times yesterday. What they do is that they just run different stuff outside the classic off-tackle and ISO plays, like trapping D-tackles with their fullback, but they were a power running team most of the year, but unlike most teams they actually always find a way to take advantage of different personell, schemes and tendencies.

He threw more INT's than TD's in the playoffs.
