Happy retirement to the goat of football Tom Brady. Going to miss Brady and remember his command of the offense and pre snap adjustments, it was always a pleasure and may he enjoy Canton.

    • If you told me before that game started that Brady threw for 505, I would have said the Pats won by 3 scores minimum. Probably the best passing performance in the history of the NFL playoffs, without Cooks for most of the game and without Edelman BTW, and the defense gives up 40 to a backup QB. Insanity.

  • Thank you for making this! Something I think about a lot with Brady is that for the number of huge games he played in, he really doesn't have that one major f-up in any game. He has some INTs for sure, including the Alford pick six, but generally they didn't swing the game. Maybe his most notable mistake of lasting game importance is the Champ Bailey pick? But like, he was 10-0 as a starter in the playoffs at that point. No worries. He doesn't have a Tracy Porter play or Malcolm Butler play or one of Favre's many big INTs. He doesn't have Roethlisberger's Nick Collins play. You would think that in 21 years as a starter, making the playoffs in 19 of those years, with 10 Super Bowls and 14 conference championship games, at some point, he would have that classic egg-on-his-face moment, and he really doesn't.

Awesome that Brady played in Super Bowls almost 50% of seasons played and awesome that he won 7 of 10 Super Bowls that he played in. Best ever, but Mahomes has a chance to reach or better Brady's record.

  • With the hot start to Mahomes career, alot of his fans and younger people are starting to say how much better Mahomes is his first 6 years compared to Brady. Mostly because they look back at Bradys early career regular season stats, that compared to today's NFL, dont compare because the early 2000's the NFL was alot diff than now. But if you watch these throws he makes in the playoffs especially in 03 & 04 and don't think he had reached elite play yet, think again. He just wasn't asked to throw the ball 40 times every game they way QBs do now, or even the way he started to later in career when he finally got some pro bowl recievers, and especially late in his career with tampa when he was playing in the more pass happy NFL and leading the nfl in attempts im his 40's. Until mahomes gets to 7 rings and one of them is with a different team, don't be calling him the GOAT. Look at all the different recievers he had over the years. One year his outside WRs were Chris Hogan a former Lacross player, and Brandon Lafell, with no Gronk in the 2016 Superbowl they won. Another year it was Hogan and rookie Malcolm Mitchell. As long as he had one reliable guy like Branch or Edelman who weren't even Pro Bowlers, he found ways to win. And as great as the Patriots defenses were in 03, 04, the offense was the one rhstbhad to show up and Brady had huge games. He wasn't carried by his defense. Ok end of rant. Chiefs just won the afc championship last night and the GOAT talk and comparisons were driving me silly lol

  • People may not realize that back in 2001 when Brady came into the league, QB's didn't drive the length of the field in a minute. As Madden said, teams would kneel on it and run the clock out. They were afraid of a fumble, int, or bad punt giving the other team a chance to win as the clock winded down Nowadays with QBs like Mahomes, we take it for granted that one minute is enough time to drive the length of the field.
