Apparently I missed some of the attachment options for the new guns. It looks like there are some additional scopes, etc. out there.
Do you know if they've fixed/buffed the ACR or AKS yet as they're pretty trash?

The game takes place 20 years after BF4 Final Stand which featured prototypes of 2142's tech including the walker bipedal tank and an older version of the Rorsch Mk.4 railgun (Mk.1) which is a reference to the Rorsch Mk-S8 railgun featured in 2142.

ALSO makes me hope that we might get a battlfield again that is set in a more grounded scenario again - I do like the tech look on the guns, but some of the scopes are horrendious and I miss old school red dots or the wonderful coyote scope from bf4. Especially since a lot of the skins (m5a1 or the Scar) have unique skins - the red dot on the m5a1 just looks freaking sick (the reddish metallic one), I wish we could use all the scopes on all the guns.
Still a disgraceful lack of actual 2142 in Portal.

@@IPAPanda Fixed the game you mean? cause there aren't many bugs atm. Also it looks like c5 has less of a throw distance.
@@IPAPanda most bugs are fixed and a decent amount of guns were added, but the maps are still hot garbage.
@@IPAPanda I just said balanced not fixed because it wasn’t particularly super broken. But the throw range was way to far for little effort. It became a free kill basically without having to jump or throw it up like In other games with c4. Season 3.2 is definitely when you should get it.
@@PRSWAGSTER99 Wellllll C5 is what effectively killed vehicle gameplay. Too far and too fast when you throw it. Its especially annoying in the hands of everyones favorite mobility specialists mackay and sundance.
My dream is that they bring BF:Bad Company: Vietnam dlc maps and weapons to Portal p.s I hope it doesn’t turn into BF2142 from now on.
The siege mode should give the tank an ultra high muzzle velocity so it feels like the railgun is now on full power.
I'd still like skins and charms for the vault weapons. And maybe some little challenges to unlock the attachments instead of having all of them when you get them.

I really wish that the portal weapons and gadgets and vehicles would have been locked. Feels a bit meh playing the older eras when everything is unlocked for them. Also, would like more vehicle load out options... Maybe have it where the 2042 era weapons, gadgets and vehicles could be used for the older eras but we have to grind those out to unlock them to use within portal?
Someone showed off some m16a3 skins in the main discord. No clue if they were concepts or fan makes but they are there.

Right? I also wish they would make unique skin attachements available for all guns. The m5a1 (reddish metallic) one has this AWESOME looking scope, wish I could use it on every gun - or the SCAR skin with the very clean holo sight..

I've been very happy with 2042 since season one and this looks to only make the game better. Never should've launched like it did, but Dice has shown they are willing to listen and make the changes necessary to bring this game to where it needs to be.
Dice aren't listening, they're doing the bare minimum to not get a lawsuit and try and reduce the damage they've done. Nothing more, nothing less. All Dice/EA care about is your money. All the passionate Battlefield Devs have left Dice after Battlefield 1.
Yeah, unlike other studios like Treyarch and Sledgehammer, DICE actually fixes their games instead of just dropping a bunch of mediocre content on top of a broken pos game and abandoning it in less than a year

i seriously hope Dice listens before the update drops. they really need something done about the railgun's sniper mode, remove the attachment if they have to, cause in it's current state, it will be like the PP29 era but with unlimited range, hitscan and the ability of destroying any vehicle
They have already stated that they won't do anything for it yet until everyone gets there hands on it and sees the reviews about it to see what they can do about the balancing of the weapon but no they won't reduce the projectile velocity because it won't be a Railgun without it's super fast projectiles only thing they can do to nerf it is reduce Damage on players and give it a longer charge up time it only does little damage to vehicles so really it's balanced for vehicles but i will main the hell out of it though. XD
The map and the reworks are cool but we simply need more content. With every season, this game keeps getting revived and killed off after few weeks, again and again and again. More longer running content could easily be the solution...
A battle pass with worthwhile items would help too if theyre gonna stick with that system...
I honestly think that's why there's a lack of new content. The map reworks are taking up too many resources. Could be wrong but that's my theory

I was a bit hyped for this update, but then I played a couple rounds of 2042 and got reminded that the annoying specialists are still here and staying.
They are just not as bad as people like you make them out to be jesus.. lmao
For the throwing knives on controller I would change the button mapping I switched it with L1 and quick use so it feels like older BF titles. Ofcourse weapon modding is now on Up D-Pad so you will have to claw but the trade off is worth it.
the look of the new weapons are pretty cool, i don’t play that often anymore if at all but it’s nice to know they are attempting to work on adding more content. Great vid as always !
The railgun looks batshit insane. Watching you use it makes it seem like it uses hitscan. Im very worried about this thing becoming the next BSV-M, especially if you dont have to compensate for movement or drop.
It virtually is a Hit Scan weapon but requires a charge up before firing.

It's all very well giving us a new map & reworks, but if they'd got it right in the 1st place we'd have plethora of maps/gadgets & guns right now. They're heading in the right direction we just require NEW content.
Do you think they should add some 2042 attachments to the vault weapons? Example: the M1911 is a vault weapon, so we most likely won't see a 2042 version added. Which sucks, because now I'll never be able to put a red dot, compensator, etc. on it. This issue applies to many of the vault weapons. Basically if a gun is added through the vault, it ensures we'll never have an actual version of it that has more than a few attachments.

one map is just not enough to keep people playing i understand they focus quality over quantity but there are so many options for them like bringing back some bf3 maps or any other battlefield maps . But i aslo find the new map very good and and i hope it will play fine
they dnt add one map bcs quality over quantity , they were already bussy fixing the game

What about new maps for Portal? It's been an entire year and they still haven't given us a single classic map for Portal. Every update that comes out I think "for sure this update will be the one" but I've been disappointed every time for 12 months in a row. If they aren't going to release new maps for Portal, I really wish they would be honest and tell us so that people like me can stop being hopeful.
I agree with you but 1 year in and not a word from DICE about Portal maps tells me we are more then likely NEVER getting maps added to Portal. It is a shame. It is almost like they WANT Portal to fail. What was even the point of making Portal and Hazard Zone!?
They dropped support for Portal. Why else would they just add all portal weapons to the main game?

Railgun definitely needs some balancing work done to it. After the gamepkay I've seen its Sniper Configuration needs some serious work. 20 rounds of fully charged shots is busted and makes every Sniper Rifle irrelevant. And it's an easy fix: Sniper shots are 1 shot reloads. Burns the magazine. Also no optics higher then x4.5. It's hitscan so anything above that means snipers are at a disadvantage since they have to lead alot more. Keep the damage to vehicles and spinup.
If the new hero is an assault class hero, why is he holding a sniper rifle? Also, why does the XM have a drum? That was classified as a LMG in BC2. Not an assault rifle.. I am hoping for their hero/class rework will eventually separate support and medic. Makes no sense why one class has the responsibility to resupply players AND revive/heal them. We don't need assault anymore sense we have engineer ' which usually was always the vehicle and anti vehicle class ' They need to rename Assault to Medic and give them the medical stuff..
No Support will still be both Medic and Ammo Supply.

Actually it does very little damage to vehicles it will be like the NTW-50 damage (Stock) if that's what your worried about but for infantry yeah it's going to be mayhem.

No? I played for about 2 hours and had fun.
The only seasonal map so far thats felt truly unique is Exposure. Aside from the middle building this map looks alot like orbital with the same assets.
Exposure in the middle is a very fun place to fight, I miss the old Breakthrough layout for that reason. It had a flag right in the middle, gave off some Operation Locker vibes.

@Roy Not sure how comparing CoD to 2042 is relevant? Literally got ONE new map for an entire new season, 2 reworks don't count as new content as it's how those maps should have been released in the first place. EA/Dice are doing the bare minimum to make sure they don't get a lawsuit against them. How about comparing 2042 to decent previous battlefield titles with decent content? Battlefield 3, 4 and Battlefield 1 for example.

Battlefield is always dedicated and committed to making the game great. Since the past few titles minus bf1, it takes about that year for it to turn around. I see the hard work and will to have a good flipping game by the developers at Dice. Woohoo!

What kind of nerf? honestly i see it's quite balanced against vehicles i say about time they add a proper Anti-Vehicle weapon since the NTW-50 got a huge nerf ages ago because vehicle W@!res whined about it!. I would wrap the 2042 fiasco after S4 up. I mean - good for them to at least give some content. Could have been worse. Is it enough? No but the core of the game will never change and to me, while its still better than any MW stuff, just isnt the BF game that was promised. 2042 still feels like a cartoon arcade shooter. Nothing about it feels like war and/or disastrous climate change. Little destruction and no Levolution. Wasting resources to revert their original design and now force the specialists into classes, will not make the game any better. 2042 is just at its core, not a great BF game and never will.
I'm excited to here DICE is dropping a new blue hue for us loyal fans. We love that shit.

When will EA/DUNCE ever figure out that this slow drip feed of mediocre content will not revive their games. They need to actually put all hands on deck in order to make up for all the previous failures and lack of legacy features/content. We still don’t even have a Clan tag option yet BF1 had a fully implemented Platoon system

TBH they need to either give us a real road map or some ACTUAL CONTENT if they want this franchise to continue. Seeing what they are releasing, the amount of content and the quality of content; all speak to just how deep in the shit this franchise is. Very little added, the stuff that is added is BARE MINIMUM in content, the portal stuff they add is cool but not adding anymore content to the game, the maps they keep making or moving over are just weak in comparison even to BFV. I enjoy this game as a Call Of Duty copy. But seriously this franchise has gone to shit and just will not admit there is a problem
Each new season brings 1 new map and reworks that don't class as new content as they should have been like that in the first place. They should cut their losses and move onto the next title. Most battlefield franchise veterans like myself have moved onto other/better games and when we get the battlefield urge we crave, we'll revert back to decent battlefield games that, y'know actually have content and are fun i.e. BF 3, 4 and Battlefield 1.

I agree there should be more content but I don't think they should "cut their losses" I think they should be looking to add even more content to the game instead. The game doesn't have to be forever lacking in content unless they do what you're suggesting.
@@krisblaise8580 Problem is WW1 is kinda over saturated now you have Battlefield 1 which was amazing, Verdun, Tannenberg, Isonzo, Beyond the Wire etc..only so many you can do. Also every WW1 Game that comes out is instantly compared to Battlefield 1, which is and isn't always a good thing.

And I can just as easily do that with modern war titles (MW19/22, Ready or Not, R6S, arguably BF2042, Insurgency, Squad). But I can understand your perspective. Personally as someone currently studying WW1 this semester for school theres a lot left for them to work with. I would personally enjoy something with Vimy Ridge, some other Eastern Front battles and possibly some hypothetical offenses into 1919 (we could see the K Wagen and maybe get the Thompson Annihilator in the base game)
