  • It's a culture shock seeing you in the Redacted studio covering these topics Clayton! But I'm a gamer as well, and think you're doing a great job with this channel ❤😊

I know this isn’t the other channel but thank you for covering what’s going on here in Canada just watch your last video.

  • "Talk about getting your money's worth!" Well...over time, consoles & their original release physical games have absolutely exploded in price..., so long as they're not at risk of the console's parent company disabling games due to a necessary internet connection to play & corporate greed. Otherwise, you just gotta keep em! Nintendo has usually faired well, especially w their own 1st party games... I don't know if the switch requires an internet connection, though...(?) But, as for playtime for me in 2023 & Q1 2024 - - Elden Ring ~400hrs - Baldur's Gate 3 ~250hrs

    • Switch is the only console currently on the market with real physical media. Pc abandoned it long ago. And the newest Xbox and PlayStation have fake physical media. As soon as I realized that I put it back in the box and took it back

      @drowningin@drowningin13 күн бұрын
    • @@drowningin -- Yeah, it's a real shame to see what's become of gaming via real physical media on PC & consoles starting with Xbox One & PS4 -- so much for nostalgia or kids discovering gaming through their parent's old consoles. & Yes, definitely long gone for PC, but the physical copies of games you could get there used to be pretty amazing w/elaborate game boxes that housed the game & usually a lot of cool extra stuff. Even the old school instruction books for PC were great -- often times, they were literal books! I mean, I remember getting games at the store as a kid -- on the ride home before you even got the game installed, if you opened the box, you could immediately start the overall gaming experience in an indirect sort of way...

  • Good call on the Pikmin. I bought the original on the Gamecube (came out right around launch in 2001) & I've been a fan ever since. IMO it's the best IP Nintendo has made in the last 20+ years. Such a laid back vibe & really cool atmosphere that really makes you feel like you're a small alien creature making your way through gardens & backyards with the help of your Pikmin army.

  • I have a soft spot for Persona 5 Royal because it was my first persona game and I put nearly 200 hours into it. Plus Morgana the cat is voiced by Cassandra Lee Morris, and I swear she appears in all my favourite games. She voiced Lin Lee Koo from Xenoblade X, she voiced Aoi Asahina from Danganronpa, she voiced Marie from Astral Chain and operator 6O from Nier Automata. Every one of these games can be played on Switch with the exception of Xenoblade X. Speaking of Xenoblade, honourable mention to Xenoblade 3 Future Redeemed. The price of that dlc relative to the quality is practically unmatched. Perhaps it is nostalgia talking, but there were so many characters and references from past games that I couldn’t stop smiling throughought the entire playthrough. They took a massive game and made it digestible for a new audience, while streamlining/improving the combat similar to what Torna the GC did for Xenoblade 2.

I can't even tell how much hours I've put in because we have 2 Switches but its the same account so it logged in both of our playtimes together.😂

      @ClaytonMorris@ClaytonMorris13 күн бұрын
    • @@ClaytonMorris - Here is a quest for you. Get a Royal Guards Claymore(RGC) from Hyrule Castle & Royal Guards Bow(50 damage). RGC can do massive damage when on the brink of being destroyed, so attach a decent enemy material with high damage to it & you can probably get 90-120 damage from it. When facing a Lynel(preferably black or silver ones since they drop Savage Lynel Bows), hit them in the face with arrow to stun. Then climb them & during this, Switch to RGC & hit him repeatedly(Durability is not affected during this). Repeat until it's dead. Take Savage Lynel Bow to Death Mountain & feed it to a Rock Octorok, it will spit it out with a added buff. Kill the Octorok & find a 2nd Octorok. Hard save & feed it the Bow for an even more enhanced buff. It should be yellow & reload save if you don't get 5-Shot Burst which is a Bow that shoots 5 arrows(1 is consumed from inventory) but it can do a maximum damage output of 160 if all hit, unless you attach a material to the arrow, which will increase damage even more. Make sure to kill Rock Octoroks after they consume your weapon though & once a blood moon occurs, you can do this again. Also make sure to take the RGC to get a AttkUp buff too for even more damage. Going to the mid-west area of the depths, you can find the prestine version of a RGC to get even more attack out of it, mine is at 194 damage. As for the Lynel, you can always start with the red or blue ones, take their bows & work your way up to the black or silver ones. I went for the Lynel underneath Hyrule Castle in the Depths which carries a Savage Lynel Bow. Killing them enough times will eventually cause their Bow, weapon, and/or shield to have a buff due to a level up system that we can't see. So eventually you will potentially get 5-Shot Burst Savage Lynel Bows from them when you defeat them. It's was a pretty fun thing for me to do & I now have a full inventory of them. You should try it out if you want to have a good reason to play it again. Sorry for rambling, I just get too excited from talking about things like this.😅

  • I haven’t been gaming as much as I would like to but I’ve probably put most of my hours on super Mario bros wonder great game. And also agree tears of the kingdom and breath of the wild probably the best games ever made. Incredible.

  • Sadly, I have cooled on the Nintendo Switch 2 years ago, so this is a welcome insight. Overall, I am not too worried about missing out and having to pay full price for Switch games anymore. It is such a popular system there will be cheap used games floating around for years... As long as the servers are up to download the updates, or the rest of the game.🙄

  • I'm going to be pelted for this (please don't downvote me too hard), but the best nintendo switch is a solid modern windows PC and the Yuzu emulator. You can run games faster (better frame rates) and at up to 4k. Plus the ability to mod your games, it's an easy choice. I had a much better experience playing Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Yuzu than I would have on a switch. Ohh and
