    @henryhernandez7769@henryhernandez77693 жыл бұрын
    • Exactly. So sad that the scores rewarded doesn't reflect that in real life. What's easier at the single/double level (Like Loop) might be hard at the triple / quadruple level. The reverse is also true (Like Lutz). Hopefully we get the points across and more spectators are aware of that, to push for the fair scoring change in ISU..

      @FigureSkatingFan@FigureSkatingFan3 жыл бұрын
    • Judging by what the most attempted quad is, I'd go with flip. Nowadays, in 2023, it has been the least performed quad for a while. Quad loop seems to have become a little more common. Speaking of quad flip, I haven't seen it performed well enough technically speaking by anyone other than Nathan.

  • If Yuzu would look at me the way he looks at Nathan, I would die😭 It brings me so much joy just to seem them both in one frame! I know that people are debating “who’s this” and “who’s that” and all, but I genuinely find them so cute. It’s just that the media pressures this “rivalry” to an unhealthy one. Both are friends and they make it out (the media, i mean) into something unhealthy. Stan twt would know the extent of this toxicity amongst those who try to bring these boys down. It’s honestly heartbreaking but it’s to be expected since they are one of the top tier figure skaters out there and figure skating is a competitive sport.

    @thelonelyarchon@thelonelyarchon3 жыл бұрын
    • Yes yes!! It’s the media and some fans. They are nice to each other’s really. Competition is competition. Life is life. And Yuzu is constantly learning from everyone. He’s probably looking at Nathan and thinking in his mind on what can he learn from him, etc..

      @FigureSkatingFan@FigureSkatingFan3 жыл бұрын
    • @@FigureSkatingFan I know right!? And he’s been so open with competing with Nathan and Nathan’s so happy and open with competing with Yuzu too. Just because Nathan’s the King of Quads and Yuzuru’s GOAT, the media tries to portray them into this rivalry that shouldn’t even be there. And don’t even get me started with the issue of underscoring. It’s a sensitive topic especially to both Nathan Chen fans and Fanyus. Underscoring Yuzu or overscoring of Nathan or vise versa, it’s just a crude joke now. Sure there’s some truth to it and ISU should be doing something about it (apparently they’re not smh). But that’s to be expected and that’s unfortunate😢

      @thelonelyarchon@thelonelyarchon3 жыл бұрын
    • @@thelonelyarchon I completely agree what you said. I also like both. They are 2 different skaters. In general, those competitions that Nathan won over Hanyu, he did deserve to win. Though I also think Nathan was a bit over-scored in those events, and Hanyu a bit under-scored, but the final ranking in that few events was correct I think.. (Same like the scores of Mao Asada vs Yuna Kim in 2010 Olympics. Final ranking is fair.. But Mao Asada was always under-scored). Not sure why it's always the Japanese skaters I felt under-scored.. And I also hope ISU do something about it - making the scores more fair..

      @chunghuey113@chunghuey1133 жыл бұрын
    • @@chunghuey113 yes! And that’s the reason why fanyus are mostly sensitive to this because sometimes those who deserve to be scored high aren’t scored (take Yuzu for an example) and although Nathan deserves ALL that he had won (those gold, he does deserve them because he had equally worked hard for it) it’s just he’s new to the competitive world by a few years. I truly believe that he’s over scored but his truest potential isn’t unlocked yet. I just wish the media would let them both go :

  • Wow! Compliments for all your work of research and putting so great together all these informations. When I was a little, watching figure skating on TV, I struggled so hard trying to tell apart those jumps, cause they all seemed to look alike and I could only distinguish axel. But now I'm glad I can make the difference in kind of 90% of jumps. I thought myself how hard they have to work since they are little to achieve such performances in time. It's not an easy life for them. They work so hard, facing injuries, pushing their body limits all in the name of their strong passion for this sport and for proving themselvs. I consider each one of them a little hero. Figure skating always gladdened my days. Thank you for your great video as always. God bless you!

They are pushing the body limit and they inspired us to think about how to push the limit ourselves... Let's all stay motivated and keep fighting in lives :) God bless you too 💓
