Novaria + Selena is such a dirty combo and can be nightmarish to face against if you have no proper assassin on your team, which even then might not be as simple if their other 3 teammates can cover them well enough

The moment Hororo dropped that build I have been playing selena like that. It has double stun potential and u have the arrow so fast that even if u miss u can get it back in instant. I just love this build

Actually now with the mana reduction buff on her skills, you dont need the enchanted talisman anymore. You can use magic shoes, starlim scythe (i know i misspelled it) and LT. With 10% CD from mage emblem you can get 40% CDR without sacrificing damage.

Blacklist did this strat to counter the luoyi strat in MPL PH They also did 45% CDR on the Selena there to give unlimited vision, make sure to place traps to counter the sneaky Luoyi sets. So having this build isn't bad at all. It has its pros and cons, but if it works, it works.
Cooldown Reduc is the better build than Pure Damage imo. 1. Spammable skills. Arrow + 1st Skill then Abyssal Form, then after 2 point something seconds, go human form again to throw another arrow. 2. The enemy will think that you're hacking, mainly because of the cooldown of the skills plus the predictions and map awareness (based on my experience as Selena main) 3. Kill them with style. With proper 1st skill placement or the arrow + 1st skill, you can unli dash the enemies to death, unlike the pure damage where you throw arrow + 1st skill + flameshot, the enemy go boom. Eh, no shing shing shing, Selena have dashes for a reason, use it.
you shouldn't use 45 cdr because selena's ult/trap resets her other skills.. also she need to wait for right opportunity to use her combo, not just spam her skills whenever available. the second part is true for most heroes unless you have spammable skills, that's why 45 cdr is not that good.
@@mavinicesumaljag2023actually I disagree with this. CDR build is good for her especially because of spamming the skills, it is a constant threat to enemies and really good in objective takes. It can also help in teamfights, unlike just waiting for opportunities where it can even cost you the game if the enemies are good. Constant arrow spam will make the enemies get stunned, it will be difficult for enemy to position and apply more pressure, makes your ult less cooldown meaning good for chase and escape, and can be useful for checking more longer bushes if there is no traps there especially in late game because the enemies will already be hitting hard so putting traps when you are not sure where they are is gonna be reckless, so using 2nd skill to check first is gonna be good, and it is gonna be spammable anyways because of low ult CD which just resets all your skills if you transform
ehh the third point is quite wrong, selena's arrival is very precedible so she can be stunned, in late 1+stun+flameshot at long distance is more than enough to kill with style as a sniper xoxo
@@danielrojas-ko9mv you can only do that if your enemies are bad. Good players are always on the look out for that stun. Being able to spam the stun a lot will give more pressure to the enemies.

Ever since I watched your cooldown build selena. I changed my build and it drastically changed playstyle. The consistency of stunning enemies due to a very short cooldown in transforming also the damage is still good.
i main selena and we have kinda similar build CD book CD boots Mage Scythe defense reduction Lantern penetration knife Blood wings For emblem i use asassin with the penetration talent, burn talent, and 5%cd reduction talent,which in total i have 45%cd reduction, AND when you are in late game, swap the CD boots for the purple boots for MORE penetration, and replace the CD minus with potions (10%cd reduction)

Almost similar with my build, but i usually goes with penetration shoes+calamity (i substitute the bloodwings) and using assassin emblem for movement speed, penetration, magic power. Or sometimes i didn't use the divine glaive if enemy doesn't buy magic def. Just rely on true damage from calamity.
mine is, instead of lvl1 emblem agility I go for inspire. it's a 40% cdr build but starlium instead of enchanted talisman, i feel i need that extra true damage and after the enhance basic attack in melee form the extra 10% movement speed. high chance of escaping if he did not die on the combo.

Selena is just that hero you can't play wrong. She's so versatile. She only takes a lot of skill/mastery if you want your arrows to hit the enemies consistently. Otherwise, she's too good of a hero to play even if you haven't mastered how to use her.

Yes that's the best part lmao, with 45% cdr build, Selena is able to fire arrow once every 4-5 seconds (depends on how fast your hand is), that's literally 12-15 arrows per minute, it's actually insane how the damage output is enough to scare the enemy away and the constant arrow could zone the enemy. Also the longer the game is, the less focus they play
This is my go-to build in brawl, works really great instead of dmg build
weapon master could make this more damaging to compensate the "low" damage, also the holy crystal buff helps a lot
Cd salena is the best it have fast cooldown can spam skill and also damage very hurt too and no scare of runout of mana also very fun since we can spam skill

Use assassin emblem for the mov speed and pen, and use the movement speed 2nd skill instead of shop cuz shop is useless late game. Magic potion will give the 5% cdr that mage emblem would give

Nahh, I always used 45% cdr build on selena after cod & lightning truncheon divorced and it's doing just fine for me.

@@alwaha3075 no it’s not. Support emblem gives you 10% cdr, if you combine it with inspire talent, it’ll make it to 15% cdr from the start. Then use the magic boots and it adds up to 25% with just a single boots. Now you only need enchanted to make it to 40% and the rest is up to you.

@@alwaha3075 that's the point. Support emblem gives you the highest cdr and movement speed, while other emblems gives you damage. It's a fair exchange, you don't need big damage for Selena, as long you're hitting your target and you can spam the arrow as much as possible, you're doing a great job as a SUPPORT.
@@alwaha3075 I never said that i played Selena as a killer roamer, I play Selena just to stun the enemy and supports my teammates, especially with early 45% cdr is really helpful, during big wars nobody would expect Selena to fire arrows every 3-4 seconds.

Cdr build for selena is literally the best build for her now in my opinion since back then they nerfed her ult cd to 5 sec so using 45% cdr can make your ult fast it will be like just 2 sec of cd and u can spam your skills more often

Any mage that builds CDR are just a bunch of middle fingers because everytime they are smart enough to go for cdr. Its guaranteed hell to either chase or survive the relentless magic damage they deliver. (That ome Nova who keeps spamming 2nd skill)
In mythical glory i see her in at least 70% of the games. All of them use cdr build. Its insanely disgusting and it wouldn't surprise me if they will nerf it soon.

It's because of the Enchanted Talisman's really good attributes and unique passive that really good for Selena too as she consumes so much mana especially before the Purple Buff nerf and the adjustment on mana consumption

I just lost against selena cdr. Its so fckn broken in solo rank. In late game If you get hit by her second skill, you just get another second skill coming after stun duration end, and of course your teammate doesn't care 🤡

Bruh that's literally 90% of global's builds just with LT rather than the scythe, your build is good but you will lack damage abit mid to late because LT isn't as reliable as the scythe against tanky heroes but your build can almost one shot a squishy late from a far with 2 1 flame combo. Don't listen to anything selena is really flexible play her however you want for a while a tank build was global 6 and all the others were playing crit just have fun.
