For today’s video we’re going to be comparing and talking all about these two REVLON brushes! We have the Revlon Salon One-Step Hair Dryer and Volumizer and the Revlon Ionic Technology Perfect Heat & Style Hair Dryer. I have owned the One-Step Hair Dryer for roughly about a year and I really love it! It makes drying my hair so much easier without any frizz! Now I have seen the Ionic Technology brush going around on (you guessed it!) Tik Tok! And when I saw how affordable it was and how promising it looked I knew I had to get it and do a comparison for you guys!
I’m going to be drying one side of my hair with one and the other with the second brush and I’m not gonna lie - the ionic brush was a little hard to work with at first. I think it’s mainly because my hair is so short right now and I haven't played with it much but nevertheless it did a beautiful job drying my hair and making it feel very soft. I think it would work even better with long hair to give you that curling effect and the feel of a salon blow out. I can honestly say I recommend both HOWEVER there is a major price difference so you be the judge! When I originally purchased the One-Step Hair Dryer I got it at Ulta for 59.99 but I found it on target for a much more affordable price and I’ll link them both down below!

I use both of them regularly. I get a slightly different look from the larger volume one-step brush. Smoother, straighter etc. The round hot brush styles my hair a bit bouncier and curlier as my hair is shorter and fine. The one-step is definitely the fastest and my hair is done in about 7-8 min. (being that it's fine.) So on a rush day I like the one-step. Loved your video and glad to see you got the same type of result, basically that I do with both brushes.

I had to watch loooot of videos before buying the smaller hair brush. I already had the bigger one, which I love and use all the time, but it was kind of a bit difficult to create a more defined curl, that is why I bought the smaller hair brushes kit. The thing is, as you mentioned, it is a bit harder to work with it as it does not have a good grip on the hair compared to the bigger hair brush. It does the job anyway, but one have to be patient in order to get a good hair style.
I found the one step volumizer at the thrift store brand new for only $3! I'm so excited lol

I have an older version of the less expensive dryer. My hair is similar in length to your with some shorter layers. I think it's great for my length.
I definitely enjoy it more now that I’ve used it more! That was my first time using it so I had a little trouble at first but I love it, too!
I bought the pink revlon one a couple months back and it didn’t work for me and I believe my mom got me the red revlon brush for Christmas so I’m excited to try it !!! And I also use the wet brush and yes!! It’s the best thing !

I’ve been wanting the original one for a long time. My hair was as short as yours in the beginning of the year and I loved it! Where is your necklace from? It’s beautiful! I’ve been wanting one like that to put my kids first initials.

I’d say my hair is kind of a lob I just went in and told my stylist to cut it until it was at a length I liked and I also have bangs growing out so we just trimmed them a little to frame the face. For the hair color I had really light ashy blonde so we darkened it to match my roots, kept the ashy tones for the highlights + we added some lowlights for dimension as well as the money piece. I go back later on this month to tone it and I plan on vlogging the process and have my stylist explain exactly what she will be doing! 💕

I have the red one and have type 2b curls, it makes it pretty frizzy and I usually have it almost dry and it still frizzes up at the roots even with heat protection (I use the same spray with my flat iron and it works perfectly) but I have not tried the one step styler yet bc I’m afraid it may have the same result

I live in Toronto, Canada - can you pls confirm the name of Revlon brush with the two brushes, please. Recently had a major chop to my hair and it is now a blunt cut to my shoulder blades, It is also fine and I feel the bigger brush would be big for my hair. Love from TO

I have the bigger one and I’ve really been considering getting the smaller one because I have shoulder length hair and it’s fine so I feel like the other one is kind of a pain to actually get volume at my roots because it’s so big.
I thought the same and I ended up not being able to make it work that well on this video but the more I used the smaller one I actually enjoy it very much, too. You just have to have your hair dry about 70% of the way for it to work really well!
I have the red one and it's useless for my hair type. It works for 2 seconds and then my hair turns straight again. I wish these blowout tools worked for me cause your hair looks amazing
Honestly, the red one was hard to work with and that was my first time using it. Even now I still find it hard to use, I never get my hair to look like those TikToks that inspired me to buy it. But I really think (& hope) it works better when my hair gets longer; I do have thick hair though.
@@AndreaVillasmil an update to my comment: my stylist told me to use mousse or other style holders in my hair before trying to get it to hold a curl and that actually does help! Though i still dont love the red one because it gets wayy too hot, i wish it had better heat control to not burn my hair haha

For the blow out brush does it leave your hair smelling like heat? I know when I use my straightener it leaves my hair smelling like heat so I’m trying to find something that doesn’t make my hair smell!!
I feel like the first time I used it I could smell a little heat but not after that. I think it’s better than the straightener for sure. I try to not use the straightener anymore or as much as I used to. Hope that helps! 💕

I had the big Revlon dryer you are doing the review on. I liked it and had it just a year. I used it yesterday and noticed my bathroom filled with smoke. Had to throw it out because it was past the return. It would help if you would mention how much air comes out of the smaller one. Does it come out strong weak? Is it evenly distributed?
Oh no! I’ve had mine for a little over a year it’s never done that. The smaller one is pretty evenly distributed and I’d say definitely strong & hot.

@@JT-mb3lo I’ve used hot air brush for years they all die eventually because the “motor” is just so small it will burn out usually about a year or two is all you’ll get depending on how much you use it

Ionic tech perfect heat and style :I have both and I keep burning myself with the ionic Tech, that metal gets really really hot no matter how careful I am the smaller Attachment the bigger Attachment, that metal though ….so hard to use without burning your fingers.

I used my curling wand.
What setting did you use, high or low? Is the amount of heat comparable on each dryer? I have the big one and it’s really hot even on low.
I used high because I have very thick hair so the low doesn’t do much for me. The ionic one I felt a lot hotter and definitely smelled stronger! But I do use high on both.

Honestly, I think the right side brush is better then the other one because your hair looks coarse and frizzy on the other side. It took longer and it doesn’t really give you that shine then the other one did on the right. I have to say 10/10 with the right side 6/10 with the left side.
