He, however, sounds irritated, annoyed and offended when recalling that night. Guarantee that if he were innocent, he’d be choked up saying, “I wish the dogs had alerted me” “I regret that I left so quickly” “had I known that was the last moment with my wife and son…” “the dogs should have alerted me to someone else being on the property, they had to have been and I don’t know why they didn’t change their behavior.” Nope. • Wow, Alex is almost telling the truth here. "After Maggie asked me to leave, I got into the golf cart". HE SLIPPED. They got into a fight at the house, she asked him to leave, then Maggie and Paul went to kennels to get out of a tense situation, and Alex followed soon after in his golf cart, got the bird from the dog's mouth, and then "did what he did" (his words) and got out of there quick. This is why forensics thinks the shooter was shorter, because Alex was sitting down. And in the golf cart, he could prop 2 guns up in front of him inside the cart, and easy access to both weapons. Then he went back up to the house and started texting Maggie that he was going to his Mom's house. But he didn't tell Maggie that when he was down there at the kennels?? How is anyone buying this? I hope these lawyers are picking up on this stuff.

The repetitiveness of their questioning was uneccessary and they did it themselves without prompting from Alex plenty of times and it was done simply because they themselves were stumbling and ineffective. It was a show trial and not a very good one. I don't know if Alex was the killer or not; he could have been although it makes no sense for him to have done it, but had he better defense attorneys he would have been found not guilty. The evidence was lousy, the investigation shoddy and the 'expert witnesses', laughable~!

Some anonymous person did say Maggie consulted a divorce lawyer & was looking into their assets too. Alex & Maggie probably did still go do stuff like go to a weekend baseball game with another couple. Maggie might've still loved Alex too, but there were obviously problems in that relationship. And I believe he lured Maggie there using his dad's illness. Lured Paul with the field of dead sunflowers needing replanting.

My best friend died in a car wreck.. I was with him always and was with him 3 hours before it happened. I lived with survivors remorse for years because I normally drove him home if he was drinking, that night I felt ill and went home.. but before it happened it was just another day, nothing out of ordinary and I struggled to remember certain things about that night. My point is unless you know in advance something bad is gonna happen it’s not a guarantee we remember every little thing or conversation. It’s also very easy to make someone look guilty not knowing something when on a grand stage and an attorney pointing out the smallest things. Attorneys are very good at making anything sinister. For the record I have no doubt Alex was 100% guilty.

He repeatedly says he just "got out of there" and he "would have said something, would have said something to them" but cannot remember exactly what he said to them. This phrasing of "would have" is his conscience letting him down because the situation did not actually happen like that. If it had happened as innocently as he claims, he would answer the question with "I said" or "I believe I said" or something like that. Not "I would have said." When you say "I would have" what your conscience is revealing is that it didn't really happen that way and you're making up the situation.

Her understanding was not that she was going home to go to dog kennrls that night but that she was going home to see Alex's father who was very ill. She said Alex told her he had pnemonia and it was very serious. She thought she was going to see a dying man. I wonder why this was not brought up at all about how he actually lured Magi back that night? She would never have driven all that way to go to a dog kennel that night. She had wanted to stay at the beach house and continue her work there getting ready for a July 4 party. Alex lured her home and the 3 people she checked with about whether she should tell Alex she would come home that night (as he requested) should havr verified the true reason why she went back there and verify that Alex did indeed lure Magi back using his sick father as the bait.

He never said to the Police "Stop looking at me and figure out who killed my family!" He never feared for his life standing out there in the dark after seeing his wife and son gunned down, and he NEVER feared for Busters safety by calling him to ask if he was okay, or to tell him to get to safety. I find that hands down the most telling aspect of his guilt. Often times, you can learn a lot from what people in these situations DON'T say. As much as Alex talked, he sure didn't say a lot. Plus, he lied about being at the kennels. No innocent person would do that.

    • Definitely agree. I imagine I would have said something to the effect of, "I was just down here with them," while speaking to the 911 operator. Even in shock, you'd relay information like that. You'd recall the last time you actually saw them alive. You'd hope this helps narrow down a timeframe so investigators can use it to find the culprit. I think it hurts his credibility greatly to have continued to lie up until taking the stand. The only time I can see something like this being "okay" is in the case of someone who could become the scapegoat for poor police work. AM had a good record, wealth, connections, and all the privilege of a cis, white male. He had no reason to lie out of fear, etc.. so what's the excuse? Why try to distance himself if he wasn't involved in something illegal? Seems suspect to me.

    • besides the sheer amount of lies leading up to and after the murders what's the probability of someone coming onto your large property in the dead of night and murdering two people at the kennels within a brief period that he decides to not be there . very unlikely. and the fact he was trying to hold up under interrogation even over mere minutes as to how long he was down at the kennels. He definitely did it. from what i gather though from the testimonies of his family and the caretaker at his mothers i don't know wether it was planned well in advance I think he had been contemplating and went through with it when a moment was created. because honestly you couldn't think of a worse set up and the fact he tried to bribe the caretaker at his mothers that she didn't see him he was trying to stash weapons and having his brother manufacturer the weapons for his sons to then use them on the wife and son and think it would not lead back to him, surely with the amount of money and connections through drugs he could have got a weapon that would have been more difficult to trace

His great, great, grandfather built the legacy and every generation worked Soo hard to keep that legacy...and only to tarnish it with his senseless, devil actions! 🤯 Like how is murdering your wife and kid going to make things better? How the heck did he think he would get away with it? Not only that... Why on earth would those thoughts come in his head in the first place! And then have to live with that for the rest of his life! And it's not sunshine and rainbows in jail.....of all people he should know that been a lawyer! And ruined his only son left and literally the entire family, close friends and the whole community forever!! A divorce could of been less complicated...jeez! . 😞

    • @@gs8133 What makes Paul anymore culpable than anyone else who go onto that boat? They were all legal adults & they'd all been drinking (albeit under the drinking age). It's not as if Paul was the adult who took a bunch of underage kids out on the boat. They all made the personal choice to knowingly get onto a boat being operated by a drunk at the wheel, not to mention they'd already nearly collided w/the Woods Swing Bridge, earlier in the night aboard the boat on their way to go bar-hopping before they later re-boarded & crashed. It was terrible what happened but anyone who knowingly gets into any mode of transportation w/a drunk at the wheel has no one to blame but themselves for their poor choices. And everyone who was aboard the boat made a poor choice.

  • Can someone please explain to me, why would Alex feel the need to lie about going down to the kennel before he left? If he wasn’t the murderer, and only just happened upon the scene, he wouldn’t have knowledge as to when those murders took place. Could have been 5 mins after he left or 5 minutes before he came back home. There’s a huge window of time in between. The only explanation for him lying about him being down there earlier, was because he knew they were murdered before he left, and he didn’t want to put himself anywhere down there in that time frame. Only the murderer would need to lie about this. Case closed!! This man is a pathological liar, thief, and murderer.

Thereby, innuendo will supplant as truth in the minds of people who are far too many and fail to think and analyze just a little bit. Is it ThAt hard to just look and listen a little deeper? Just a little?

    • He thinks he can charm his way out of his situation. Which he may succeed. I find him very charming and charismatic. Like, you don't want to believe he's capable of this. However, his defense is so weak. But it wouldn't surprise me if the jury voted not guilty. Also there's the factor of bribes or threats. He has major connections. I wouldn't rule out that someone gets to at least a couple of jury members ,to vote not guilty. It's likely this could all be a clown show put on by a thoroughly corrupt judicial system of South Carolina.IF the judicial system is corrupt. I absolutely do not know if it's any less or more, corrupt or uncorrupt, as any other States judicial system. But if it is corrupt, then Alex probably has the inside info on that and why he may ultimately be protected actual punishment.
