  • Criminals always forget about good and honest working people like Dale. Even in Alex Murdaugh’s wildest dreams he could never imagine that the guy who takes care of the dogs would take so much pride in his work that he would roll the water hose up in a way that was so particular that he could look at a picture and say someone used that hose after I did. How? Because there is a kink in the hose and the the sprayer head was not laid down to the ground. He knew where every dog was, which kennel should be empty, and which kennel should have dogs. He knew which dogs were more family pets and which dogs were the working dogs. He knew where the guns were , what kind of guns they were, and the ammo that the family used. He knew which vehicles everyone used to come down to the dog pens. Dale even knew how the angle of the sun in the summer and winter would dry those sidewalks. He could look at pooling water and state without a doubt that something is off. Everything he did had purpose. And over time he learned everything to be known about that area of the land and a lot more. It’s the people like Dale that keep us all honest. In this case Alex absolutely forgot about Dale. And Alex’s defense just couldn’t counter him because he was telling the truth. He didn’t make any overt hyperbolic statements, he just told the truth.

    • But what, ultimately, is so damning about the hose and puddles being they way they were found when photographed by police? It's clear Maggie and Alex and Paul were there spending time. Wouldn't it be unsurprising that they used the hose, and as Dale states - none of them are good about putting the hose back. I'm puzzled - What is the Gotcha here?

      @dianapuppy4141@dianapuppy4141 Жыл бұрын
    • @@dianapuppy4141 it’s not a gotcha, I’ll admit that. Not a gotta go to jail moment. But for the jury I bet it hit pretty hard. I’m not convinced Alex killed his wife and son, but I think he knows what happened and why it happened. But I do believe that he completely forgot about Dale and the water hose and if he did use it he never thought in a million years that it would become noticeable . We will see what happens

      @tfajsh@tfajsh Жыл бұрын
    • I kinda got the opposite in that if I was a juror it would be a point for Alex. If I’m the jury I just heard this guy say in all 4 years of working there i never saw him raise his voice to his wife or children. I’m also thinking that it could have been Paul, Maggie, or Alex who used the hose.

      @wolfpecker5710@wolfpecker5710 Жыл бұрын
    • the most damaging detail AM did not foresee in his plan, was that his son and wife were constantly on the phone. And that Paul had recorded the video that proved all 3 of them were in the kennel and very shortly after that the phones went dead. Which very much determines the time of their killing. But I agree he also did not foresee that a meticulous neighbour would testify that someone had used the hose (out of order) and that is consisent with AM hosing himself down. Or that he confidently claimed how long he was in the house of his mother - and the caretaker was not deferential but said no it was only half the time. Only police was very deferential to Mister Alex. And sloppy.

      @franziskani@franziskani Жыл бұрын
    • The payload of this testimony is the water hose in the video is on the ground. Then they are killed with it on the ground. Who rolled it up as seen in SLED pic. Someone that cared about the property and dogs would have rolled it up. Not a rando person that waited in the bushes for him to leave and then pow pow pow pow pow and then say…oh we need to finish the dog stuff. THATS WHAT HE WAS MOST LIKELY DOING AFTER HE KILLED THEM. AND THATS WHY HE HAD ALL THE STEPS ON HIS PHONE. CHASING MAGGIE AND THEN CLEANING UP THE DOGS AND HOSING DOWN STUFF.

The town has lots of natural things to do like hunting, hiking, and fishing. Otherwise, there are really no real restaurants or entertainment. This is the area that was filmed in the film “Forest Gump”, I found that most of the people I met where pure and wholesome, and very Christian. • The figurative nail in the coffin for me is the video. Logically it makes sense they were killed within a minute of that video being filmed, as their phones locked for the last time and Paul never got the chance to send the video to Rogan. And since Alex was heard in the background of that video, he was present at the time of the murders. To argue that he didn’t commit the murders, you’d have to believe one of the following: 1) Alex witnessed it but didn’t get killed himself and didn’t call the police right away. OR 2) Alex left the kennels right before they got killed, and managed to get away in the less than 60 seconds from when the video was taken/they were likely killed, and manage to not hear or see the murders or anything like that. Neither of those scenarios makes much sense to me.

Secondly, he states that Alex was very particular, it is my thought that Alex washed himself down immediately after doing this. That then he entered his house where he had a shower. But washing himself down with the hose would reduce the amount of particulate that enters his home. Particulate such as blood or gunshot residue.

  • The fact that the Murdaughs used shock collars and had an electric fence in lieu of paying for adequate obedience training for hunting dogs or a proper fence, and that they had this guy shoot a dog that got injured instead of paying to take the dog to the vet…despite having so much money and being one of the most affluent families in the area…yeah, I’m not shocked that Alex had the capacity to kill. Maggie was sure to divorce him when all his financial crimes, drug dealing, being disbarred, being fired from law firm, and Murdaugh name became mud ALL came out in the community. Besides Alex would be in jail for a long time. Maggie of course would have fled from that mess. In a divorce there goes half his assets, spousal support and no more hunting lodge. Also Moselle was put only in Maggie's name in 2016. Alex would get it in her death per her will. There are the motives. Oh Paul lawsuit was going to cost Murdaugh millions and LE would be digging deep into his criminal finances Nope both had to go. So he killed them.

Left the scene and then returned. Took nearly an hour to call police and then 35 seconds into the conversation with the first responder he claimed that the murders were related to the boat crash. And his demeanor from that night and also in the jail calls is not that of someone concerned for his life, nevermind someone grieving over the loss of his wife and son.
