In this week’s woodturning video, I turned a giant black locust or acacia log into a stunning live edge or natural edge vase. Carefully turned on my woodturning lathe and used a sand blaster to nice clean up the rough edges. Turning such a large and deep project take time and patience to ensure the best possible result and finish can be achieved. Sanded two 400 grit and finished with mineral oil to pop the stunning grains

That's amazing, beautiful
Very well done sir. As always, very beautiful!
Wow - looks like an ancient artifact from another planet! What a stunning and interesting vase, after that workout turning and sanding you created wonderful art again! 👍👀🥇
Just love it! 😀
Lovely bit of wood that pal, good idea keeping it as is. 😊😊
Wow. That was a difficult turning. It came out beautifully.
Very interesting. Still a beautiful piece. 😊
Thanks 👍
Beautiful
With Siberian greetings👍
Stunning :D
This is cool in a warty kind a way
Stunning! The texture makes me think of caves, didn't expect that from wood!
You do such amazing work. I'm absolutely shocked that you don't have hundreds of times more "likes"!
niesamowita!
Really other-worldly. Excellent job. My hands and wrists would be throbbing for days after working on something like that.
Beautiful David.
Thumbnail looks like Döner Kebab 😋😋
♥️♥️♥️
Fantastic piece. (Very odd bot comments though :/)
A dinosaur egg, recently excavated.
And what are those metal coins you put in the bottom?
What is that vacuum pressure thing you use?
What's it supposed to be?
A piece like that looks like it's very hard on the tools, constant -re-sharpening? I really expected that piece to go into a bucket of resin before more turning and polishing, I'm glad you didn't do that.
Well done! To me, that looks like fossilised bone.
Your vase looks painful with acne, congratulations, Canada
I was so happy that you didn't put this into resin. It was quite an ugly piece of wood and you made it beautiful and really interesting without taking away from the wood. It didn't look like an easy job either... very difficult actually. I love the natural look. Thank you.
