Everyone knows those little tree car air fresheners... but which one is the best? And the worst? We wanted to find out, and it turns out they make over 40 different scents! So we bought every single one and smell tested all of them to find out. You're not supposed to take them all the way out of the bag but we did it anyway! This is the D-List!

  • My favorite one is the pina colada (especially when it ages a bit from being opened) which is becoming increasingly rare nowadays. Yellow Vanillaroma is my default normal one. I’ll deal with black ice and new car smell if I absolutely need something and nothing else is available, but I haven’t really tried or sniffed anything else. I think this is incentive for me to give it a go next time I go Walmart or an auto section in one of the other stores I frequent. I’ve never heard of some these nor knew of their existence. The stronger ones have to age and mellow out after 2-3 days and they seem to get better with me personally. I think my nose would fall off if I smelled that many air fresheners. Well done I say!

  • A few years ago, I had gone to walmart late at night because I realized I was out of breakfast for the next morning. There was only 1 register open so there was a line of 5 or 6 people ahead of me. The two girls directly ahead of me had their work uniforms on so I could tell they worked at the restaurant Twin Peaks. They saw a hook of the tree air fresheners while waiting in line. They pulled every single one(50+) of them off the peg and smelled them and then threw them on the shelf below the hook. I didn't say anything but I was extremely mad at them. It blew my mind that a service worker that has to deal with customers all day would then be so inconsiderate and leave a mess for some other service worker to deal with instead of just putting them back.

  • I haven’t tried a lot of little trees my favorite one is true north I put it in a 1993 suburban and the whole thing smelled like true north in less than 5 minutes it’s strong but not super strong and it’s a good strong smell it’s something you can smell all day everyday and never be disappointed

  • I have an 04 Acura TL and i usually have a scent stone to toss under the seat, but it's smell has died out and I NEED A TREE. I know it's like, 2 years later? But my TL's kinda sick, kinda busted, Susted.... but it runs fantastic! I work at Auto Zone and we don't have Moroccan Mint at our store. Love the videos guys! I feel like this would have been a good video to explain that you can leave them half wrapped and slowly strip away more of the plastic packaging to release more scent and make them last way longer.

  • My absolute favorite was Spice, which they discontinued some 10 yrs. ago. I would hang around 5 of them in my car. When my friends and I talk about the old days and the cars we used to drive... they would always bring up that Spice smell that permeated all my cars through the years. .     • Well 50's cars smell kind of nice, you know if you ever rode in one, but if you mean old as in 1990's, my dad's 1998 Camaro smells like old cigarettes, fabric seats and must.

  • i waited the entire episode and thought to myself "maybe blackberry clove is a different brand.." then you got to it.. and hated it.. it is THE BEST smelling little tree ive smelled.

  • Supposed to snip the top of package and only slide a quarter of the tree top out of bag and adjust as scent fades over time
