I think Masvidal kinds dug his own grave during the Ben Askren /Jake Paul conference. First of all, letting a youtuber/influencer get your number in the first place when you’re a ”gangster” seems kinda odd to me. Besides that, Madvidal and Askrens feud was essentially over. Ben talked smack (like he usually do, being the heel), ate his own words, and was very gracious in defeat. No excuses, no shying away, just taking it like a man and moved on. Askren handed the ordeal so good Masvidal even gave him props for it. Then all of a sudden he’s on Jake Pauls phone making fun of Ben for no reason. This is not their fight, Masvidal only did that to catch some clout, from a former Disney channel star... Not only that, he had nothing funny to say, it was just awkward. ”Oh, is this guy still alive”, and then comment on Askrens flip-flops like 3-4 times ”yoo, tell him i like his flip-flops man”, that was so cringeworthy. Especially making fun of someone elses attire, when you yourself dress up like a Walmart Tony Montana, trying to peacock some attention. And no one likes a sore loser, that comes up with excuses etc. But people tend to like sore winners even less, and Masvidals and Askrens feud was already dealt with. As many pointed out, Usman made alot of fans simply because Masvidal acted like a punk without a reason.
The reporter asked this question only to make Usman say "those were super necessary"

The ref stod close to Kamaru and when he actually pulled him off Kamaru stopped immediately. Jorges head was up and he wasn't clearly out. Jorge on the other hand hit a Ben that was stiff as a board before the referee could get there.
