I was only a kid, but I remember it so well. When Werder won the league in 2004, that was the most incredible and special feeling ever. It still breaks my heart to see the team I love and support has not been challenging for the league for a very long time as well as compete to qualify for Europe consistently. For a club as big as Werder, this is beyond unacceptable. I am really really hoping they do come back stronger to the Bundesliga again 😭💔 💚🤍

The Legend Comeback
I still remember what Werder Bremen did from 2004 to 2010. They were among the best teams in the world. They beat (Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Inter Milan, AC Milan) I can't stop crying 😭😭😭😭 I hope for a comeback Rapid them 💚💚💚 By the way, I am a fan of Werder Bremen .. Plus Hannover. And others like Kaiserslautern, Karlsruher, and Munich 1860 are in the 3rd division. Right now the lower divisions in German football are basically a graveyard of elephants.

They were in a financial blackhole after they spent a lot to enhance the squad but the failure to qualify the european competition made them in debt

Schalke and Werder was among the few team that i know in Bundesliga.. They was a strong team.. Can't believe decade after that, these team got relegated.. It's the same shock if team like Arsenal or Liverpool got relegated.

I'm shocked I see Werder Bremen in Bundesliga 2 ... it's crazy because I remember this club in the 2000s when they finished German champions in 2004, winner of the German Cup 2009, finalist of the UEFA Cup the same year, top 3 in the Bundesliga with players like Özil, Frings, Klasnic, Naldo, Mertesaker, Miroslav Klose, Diego, Olic, Pizzaro and Tim Wiese. For more than 10 years this mythical club had fallen into anonymity outside Germany more qualification for the Champions League, more qualification for the Europa League and year after year they sink to the bottom of the championship and fall in Bundesliga 2 ... Sad for Werder Breme, for Schalke 04 semi-finalist of the Champions League 2010-11, sad for Hamburg.
