  • Both are great, but I personally love MMA, since it used multiple different techniques , it incorporates fighting styles from many different combat sports, and since it’s a relatively young sport, it still have huge growth potential. I could just imagine how insanely skilled mma fighters will be in 20 years, as the sport evolves

    • The whole point of a fight is to hit or beat up the other person while preventing them from doing the same to you. But some people’s strikes are hard to dodge, block or counter so that’s grappling or running away is important

    • then why do MMA fighters look like amateurs when they face boxers, yall just some mama fanboys. A boxer has a better chance of winning an MMA match than an MMA fighter winning a boxing match. One punch can end the fight. If you think a boxer can't handle his own in any fight then you are ignorant

    • @@bryanm.6313 ever see what happened to james toney when he got in the cage? No surprise the guy who spends his entire life just punching will be better at punching than the guy who also had to learn kicking, kneeing, elbowing, clinching, takedowns, throws, fence wrestling, and submission grappling. Thats like saying why is the figure skater better at skating than the NHL player? Because skating is all they do. Boxers love to talk big on twitter but when it comes to getting in the cage they all go silent. Are you even a fighter if you need pillows on your hands and a million rules to "fight"?

      @abiram96@abiram963 жыл бұрын
    • @@abiram96 those “pillow” hands have caused more deaths in boxing and make it more prove for severe head trauma than the small gloves mma fighters use. Why?

      @bryanm.6313@bryanm.63133 жыл бұрын
    • @@bryanm.6313 because in boxing since you can only punch to the head or body you get way more head punches per fight than in mma where it can end via leg kick, body shot, submission, or tko. The standing 8 and the 10 count are at fault too. If a guy gets concussed, all he has to do is stand up in 10 seconds so he can go get concussed again? Boxers also go through way more career fights than mma fighters do, average mma fighter will only have maybe 30 fights in a whole pro career, so a lot less head trauma sustained.

    • @@christianBMFbarboza hes right, sure boxing is complex, but you only have to worry about punches, a smaller variety of ranges/footwork/angles, and only a handful of possible strikes. Mma fighters have to account for all the same things boxers do, plus the risk of kicks, knees, elbows, clinches and takedowns when boxing in the cage. Literally 3x the number of things to have to know and learn

  • A sport that accepts submission as a way of victory shows that it tolerates quitters. A sport where you take constant punches to the head and body and even when you feel like you want to quit because your brains are rattled, but you cant, is a real mans sport. Boxer is and always will be far superior

Thats the whole purpose of this submissions im BJJ and MMA 🤦🏻‍♂️ What youre saying is so dumb. Anybody would 100% prefer to punched KO rather getting your Bones or skull crushed in a joint lock. That's the reason they're submitting. You exposed yourself that you know nothing about ground fighting. A Submission is like a checkmate in chess. At this point you cant defend yourself anymore, and your opponent could break your bones if he wants. He is showing that to you by applying a little bit of the force, and thats already enough to know that you should submit. Otherwise you will have permanent damage for life.

    • I wouldn't say lame but I prefer boxing for the artful and technical look of a boxing match. Not a big fan of takedowns honestly, find ko's way cooler. MMA is definitely more practical for real fighting but you don't need to be pro level in anything to properly defend yourself. At the end of the day MMA and boxing are just sports.
