Idea for the flame thing : when you loose you could get a "broken flame" with the amout of flames you had written on it like a trophy to share to others or a high score to beat

Iskall wasn't afraid about not getting a artifact in Hermitcraft VH series because he knew he and etho gonna get dozens after a 60-70+ cake vault completion 🗿

The ascension flame looks so incredibly exciting
Personally I think that, although challenging and rewarding, it might lead to easier ragequit/burnout when not able to complete 20+ ascension and the soul flame gets lost. I hope this doesn't happen
@dawiddulian2403 thats true i can see that happen, personally I think its more of an opt in playstyle with how you have to get a specific item for it. I also think it brings back the risky feeling that you had in season 2 where If you died you actually lost all your stuff but In a less aggressive way. But we'll have to play it to see how it feels😊

The new obelisk vaults are insane, I never felt the need to pick the modpack back up. but theres been so much good game design put into that mode, that I just might
I'm so excited for this update! My luck with finding archives and vendor rooms appearing has been garbage so it'll be really cool to have more chances to interact with that part of the game!
This feels very on the cusp of turning vaults into a roguelite. I wonder what would happen if braziers' bonuses went further into skill trees, like how you can spec into seeing chests through walls, or simply buffing progressively with a hard boss fight for vault completion
I think they should go full roguelite at this point
@@nib6383 if they did that they'd be cutting out like 90% of their content. The vaults are fun but the bulk of the game's content is the permanent progression, both RPG progression and vanilla MC. You're able to cut parts of this out by turning on infinity mode but the game would really just be so much less fun as a roguelite because fundamentally it's nothing like a roguelite. Dungeon crawlers have aesthetic similarities but they're not the same at all and people really gotta stop calling VH a roguelite
You can see chests through walls using the hunter skill or with the goggles trinket already

Personally I think they should double down on it. It's just better. The more the game is like PoE mapping. The better it becomes.
1. Brazier Vaults - The bar at the top of the screen is so much easier to see. Thank you :) That is a great change. I always found the old style hard to see. 2. Ven Doors - I am excited to check these out. Another great change :) 3. Soul Flames - You may need to explain this one more. My brain still doesn't understand what happens in the vault. I understand how they stackS though. 3.5 Warden's Pearl - I am all for a little bit of help. Thank you :) 4. Animatrix - Haha! This is like a new couch or chair in your world :) Please put one at ground height, just in-front of your base's Warp Plate in your Hermitcraft Vault Hunter series, to prank your guests XD 5. God Alters - This is a MEGA Update of Doom! This makes them so much more accessible. Thank you! :) 5.5 Charms - I am intrigued by this update and definitely wish to check it out in-game. 5.7 The Gods - 6. Cake Vaults - After all of that hype up that yourself, Etho, Stress and False have provided the community with, you did not disappoint us with a dud update. This is so much better! 6.5 Crake Pedestals - THANK YOU! Having them in every room is a welcomed change. I can leave on my terms, and not when the mobs kill me, because I cannot find a pedestal. 7. The Patch Notes - I prefer having less on my screen when running a vault. Thank you for allowing this option.
Iskall, I gotta say, this hermicraft playthrough enriched vault hunters so much I can't even express, I think the experience of playing with etho and exchanging opinions resulted in this extremely exciting update, I'm so glad that this happened. Seriously, every improvement in this update polish what's best in vh right now, the dungeons, the ui improvements, new soul system, objectives, altar rarity etc. Really impressive, can't wait to play it.

I really appreciate the change for making some of the quests optional, I've been playing through but am way too weak to find an archive, but want to get to the transmogrification quest, so this is very convenient and helpful. Love this mod and everything you're doing!
Hey Iskall, you ever thought about adding a chaos seal. That adds multiple "half objective" So it randomly adds 2 scav item objectives, half an elixir and 3 brazier. Just an idea

dev/debug idea: add a new command that auto completes any vault you are in. /vaultend [target] [objective] [delay] [xp] [stats] > target works like in vanilla commands, so you can use @a, @s, @r, specify one or more player names, or just leave it blank, which defaults to @s. > objective is a boolean that denotes whether or not the vaults objective was completed. > delay is the delay time between the command being typed and its execution, in seconds. >xp is the amount of > stats is the data of the completed vault, like how many chests looted and mobs killed. im imagining every vault has some kind of data string, like entity data, that makes it what it is. you can build your own string and put it in this parameter to give the vault that identity. Also, im really loving update 13, especially the soul flames and the ascension thing! keep up the gud work my man!

I'm so excited or the new cake vaults - I love the challenge of getting as many cakes as possible but hated how hard it was to find the cake pedestals. Most excited for the fading bug to be fixed in update 13 though - I've had the worst luck encountering it recently!
i wrote a nicely sized post about soul flame risk/reward after watching that segment, turns out that idea is basically what u made cake vaults into lol.
I LOVE the braziers mode and i absolutly LOVE the soulflame rework

A lot of this sounds amazing! Having to craft the blank inscriptions now is a bit of a drag though, since if you ever need to craft a lot of them its very tedious with the current interface of the various crafting stations. You can see that already with mass crafting gear to raise proficiency or mass crafting jewels to fill out a tool.
I can't wait to go Vaulting with the new changes it will be very fun!

Very good update video. I love this style, not offical like let me read this long passage. Seems like you are genuinely excited about this update and this game still and that comes across in this video
Good Update! Nearly everything is purely awesome, but i think the cake vault rewards is slightly too great (at least for the chests, but the crake seems also insane). if you already get like 3x chests on level 20, its probably like 8x on level 50. which seems insane. and getting already a full inventory on level 18 means like 3 inventories on level 50..
Since you're changing the frequency of shopping, can you make it possible to change the colors of the items? I and a few people can't see the difference between rare+ and omega
So, like a colorblind option? That would actually be a good idea to add. Unfortunately vault hunters is very centered around color identification and it is bad for those who have difficulty seeing the correct colors.
Sweet vaults themed around different sweets and baked goods would be a fun scav

I can't believe this, you cant just change cake vaults without warning anyone! actually the brazier thing is very interesting, nice oh and I see some etho influence with the soul flame I believe
It would be really cool if there was a vault where there wasn’t a set time limit but the more mobs you kill increases the time left in the vault
I’m so excited for these changes, especially the braziers! I started playing VH when the hermits did, before that I never understood the appeal but I’m happy to say I’m now playing on the patron servers and completely addicted

For the point overlay, I think that the best option would be for it to appear anytime the number increases, but once you open the ability menu, it disappears.
Such good updates, the changes focus on making every aspect fun and gamble on your greed for loot
ya know beef and tango get props (earned i might add) for making those great games on the hermitcraft server but can we just for a moment just appreciate the amazing work iskall and his team have put into this mod/game. thanks for all the work and fun IskallMan!

I can't wait to play this update and try everything out. Also, I really love the Animatrix block. Will lessen the amount of time I have to mouse over every egg in my chest to find the one I need!
I really like these changes. Especially the vendoors. The expertise is now going to be quite valuable.
This is a comment to attach to planning around the soul flame chest stacking making some objectives easier. It’s my opinion that adding, block hardiness, reduced resistance, reduced speed and possibly reduced healing and mana regeneration efficiency would help scale the player down since their soul flame is aging. You could call it inflamed haha.
Excited about a lot of the changes except.... More god altars.... so more confusion when using the objective Hunter T_T wouldn't be the first time a God altar killed me, when I thought it was an elixir stoneor other objective kekw Love the docration blocks they added and the cake vaults look very cool to do now. Can't wait to see those in game!

Is it possible to change the rooms and how you navigate them? After a while the layouts of the rooms start to get predictable, also would be great if there were different sized rooms as it seems all the vault rooms seem to be about the same size.
Ascension sounds cool, but mine would only ever go up to the point a scavenge vault shows up, because I can't be bothered with those, lol.
Consider adding images/videos to the questline. Helps with dyslexia, or just some difficult-to-understand quests! Been lovin Vault Hunters! #Nevereverleaving
all the mod and vault hunter would be interesting series
Idea for Dungeons: you could add rare(er) champions into them (with rare drops of course) to encourage the player to explore them. After all, they're minecraft dungeons, so maybe you could encounter bosses/elite enemies from minecraft dungeons, could be cool! Or you could encounter one of the many mobs that didn't make the mob vote and recruit them as pets. (provided you can save them from the hostile mobs who captured them in time) Also a way to encourage player to challenge dungeons~

I really love and am excited for all of these changes. Hopefully the update will also change something and allow me to finally manage to get past a glitch in my curseforge library that's been preventing me from being able to play for the past month. I swear! the pathing issues I have with forge are borderline untennable some weeks.

If it was said and I didn't hear it there should be some sort of like secondary objective for plundering the braziers that is like a better chest if you pillage like one more than the number of ones you had to light. Something to make it said that you're really incentivized

Hallo, @iskall85, I thought about a solution to the green door problem: KEYCHAINS - a container item, that holds all your keys and is able to open the doors as long as it contains correct key inside it.
