Breaking Down Barriers: Simplifying Sheep Farming
Today, we break down barriers to make our work more manageable by reconfiguring pen setups and sorting groups of sheep. To make things easier for us, we joined two Dorset pens into one, adjusted bottle feedings for older lambs, and weaned our first group of Suffolk lambs. Sheep farmers are very busy so it is important to make things on your farm work as simply as possible.
Follow along as we make our work schedule more efficient and manageable. Watch as we care for our lambs, bottle babies, and handle the daily tasks of running a sheep farm. Join us on Ewetopia Farms as we tackle the challenges of sheep farming in Canada!

Good morning Arnie and Lynn. That was quite the trim job on that mama. Aww Alexander is still showing up. And the sheep said thus is how you spell freedom. Come on guys ready for a romp. 😂😂😂😂. Arnie learned 😂😂😂😂. May is funny carrying her lunch with her. Wow. That was a really big job rearranging all those sheep. So nice to have sunshine for the 29:06 job. It looked like the ravens baby was getting pretty good size. Thanks so much for the cup of sunshine. Big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for joining us again today!🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@EwetopiaFarms. Always a pleasure. Loki forward to it each day. ❤️❤️
Arnie is so funny. You did have a very busy day. Glad to see Alexander. He looks so good
You are funny Arnie! Regardless if you look into the camera or not, i still watch! ha ha
That little Dorset cross lamb with the black spots on it's face is a nice beefy lamb, boy they are all nice this year, it would be hard to chose.
That was a busy day!! You guys being so tired might help you sleep through the noise of weaning.😂 I'm betting by the look of those lambs crying won't last long. They are as big as their mothers!!😆 Thanks for sharing and stay safe!!🙏❤
Windows were closed that night!😆 All was well by the next day 🙂
Another good video 👍❤💚💛
Good morning from Florida 😎
Arnie is showing his age, maybe his young man hero. "I am a man - I can learn". Time to get him some Red Green suspenders.
🤣🤣🤣
And some duct tape!
@@PreciousPatchesFarms Absolutely! Duct tape!🤣🤣🤣
LOL Arnie it was great to see your face!! Thanks for the extra special explanation! That was a very busy day...but I am sure a very satisfying one knowing tomorrow should be a little easier because of it 👃
Wow it looks like there is at least 2 baby ravens, i could see one baby flap his wings but then i saw another little head pop up next to the wing flapper, pretty awesome! Ravens are so beautiful!!!!
I really like the ravens 😍
A lot done in this video. “I’m a man and I can learn.” 😂😂😂 The lambs may be a few weeks difference in age but wow they sure are uniform in size. You must be so happy, with all the hard work paying off. THANK EWE!!
Yes, they are coming on nicely 🙂
Baby crows❣️ Nice they’ve learned to raid the pigeon eggs. The lambs look wonderful & ready to wean.
Yes, it was an unexpected bonus as we had a real pigeon issue here until now!🙂
That clipping job looks a little funny but it gets the job done! Im so glad that she's doing well now. I had no idea that teets had plugs, thanks for letting us know. Teeny Weenie is pretty cute too! It was so much fun watching Arnie work while the sheep and lambs were playing. Max was really patient! The bottle babies are locking so good pretty soon they won't need their bottles any more. Im so happy that those barriers are coming down and that your job is getting less demanding. Those ravens are so cool, even though the job that they do is a little grim I'm glad they're there to help. That creep machine looks like a good investment. Alexander is a good (and cute) cat. Weaning will help make your job much easier, before you know it they will all be weaned .keep breaking down those barriers! Have a great day, i can't wait to see tomorrows video. I was in a little bit of a rush today so i hope that my comment wasn't too repetitive and that it makes sense lol! ❤ 🐑
Your comments are always appreciated and we thank you for going out of your way to add a comment 🥰
Good morning! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
Watching Arnie mix and match panels was fun. But mixing and matching cats? Wasn't that Alexander he was trying to pet... Not Buddy? 😅
Definitely Alexander and he's a boy!🤣🤣
Working and talking is fine….you don’t have to always talk directly to the camera…as long as we can hear you…if we need to. Sometimes just watching either of you work is just fine. Love hearing the farm noise.
@ewetopiafarms I just noticed Arnie’s sweatshirt 😂❤
The lambs are nice and big,, ❤
Lol Arnie yr the man take power good job
i still got metacam in my fridge
Thanks for another great video.
Hi Arnie lol you make me laugh 😅😅😅 your doing great behind the camera . The little lamb is so adorable. Will it be shearing time after they have all lambed?
Our first shearing day is scheduled for May 7th 🤞
So beautiful 💯❤❤❤
Hard working there, but an easier future I hope ! Could you show the 2 dogs sometime so maybe I can see the difference between them? 😊 I'm sure it's obvious but I haven't figured it out yet.
Sure! I think I also have the dogs as a Playlist heading on my channel too in the meantime 😁
🤍

No, we haven't but it has been suggested that we do it 😁
My phone went down. Having to play catch up
Hope you have fun with that!😆

Do you have any names in mind for the micro ram lamb? I’m wondering if it will be a keeper, a pet, or a resident at Misfit Farms if it stays too little to breed. I don’t have the knowledge or experience with this sort of situation. If he is given the right growing conditions, will he get as large as the other rams when he’s an adult?
It is always a wait and see thing. They all grow at different rates and we can only keep back a few rams. Most rams do go to market.
I forgot that you do send sheep to market. That must be very hard for you to make those choices. You have such fine sheep.
@@LauraleeWood1865 yes, it is not a happy time for me
