Where have u been all my life 😂
do u have any meet and greets would love to talk!
Best martialarts KZheadr
thank you bro!
@@MMAShredded I used your jab-lowkick combination in sparring and wrecked my partners leg so we had to switch to boxing sparring😂and I used the backwards slip from your Anderson silva video
MMAShredded Jeff Chan i have also used the low kick 🦵 combo you taught and it’s works in so many ways. Thanks ! Adding this also! Wish I could just pay you to train with everyday.
Oh 💯
By far
Sweeps are probably the most fun techniques of all
haha yeah I feel the same!
Hell yeah. Sunday at sparring I baited my trainings partner to attack with boxing combos when I was in the ropes. When he thought his in control I swept his lead leg and he was on the floor😅
@@henning14 I love to look at their face when they fall on their ass haha ^^
In the words of our modern great philosopher Borat: “Very nice, great success”
thank you!
#1. I love how you and everyone at your gym spars w/o trying to punish or hurt your partners. This is perfect. #2. I only train on the heavy bag, so it's difficult to practice many sweeps, but I took a lot from this video that I can use in partner drills to train these sweeps. Great stuff, Jeff!
thank you brother!
U should start sparring... your skills wont translate very well until you start to apply the techniques to a fluid, non compliant opponent
@@beatek3912 Oh yes, I agree. I owned a gym and have done plenty of sparring. But for now it's not in the cards for me.
@@kickboxingunderground are u injured
@@beatek3912 Yep. Unfortunately I have a dislocated jaw. And I likely won't get back to sparring. At my age, I think injury prevention shall be my #1 goal. I will settle for only being as good as I can be without sparring. I will still do some partner drills.
The sweep to the Double leg technique was beautiful bro🔥🔥🔥
thank you :)
#1 Outside Sweep (using your rear leg) 0:44 heavy on lead foot 1:48 light on lead foot - body kick 2:52 light on lead foot - double leg #2 Inside Sweep (using your lead leg) 3:51 heavy on lead foot (counter to jab) 4:35 light on lead foot - cross 5:40 light on lead foot - double leg 6:35 light on lead foot - long knee #3 Southpaw Sweep (using your lead leg) 7:15 heavy on lead foot 8:11 light on lead foot - cross 8:38 light on lead foot - body kick
cheers!
@@MMAShredded No worries, just makes it easy for us to practice your cool tricks. You rock dude!
Never tried these before in my MMA training, but I'll study these techniques carefully and try to incorporate it in my training. Thanks Jeff, always a big fan of you.
:)
I appreciate that you include the failed attempts. No technique is a magic bullet and moving along or "rolling with the punches" when techniques don't work out are just as much a part of sparring and fighting as when they do. One usually fails before they succeed.
100%!
Thank you Jeff Chan for the explaining and teach us how to attempt these 🤙🏽
no prob :)
Jeff, I can’t stress how valuable your videos are to me and I’m sure many others! Thank you for all your work!!
thanks for watching Mark!
The joy it brings you when sweeping someone @mmashredded
HAHA thanks bro!
Honestly this is your best video yet. This just helped me visualize the sweeps so much better. Thank you Jeff!
no problem man!
Wow incredible video Jeff you're the man!
thank you Dan!
I’ve always appreciated the techniques being used in actually sparring and even more so; the Failed Attempts being put into the videos. Keep up the great work Jeff! Can’t wait for your next fight!
thank you Daxis!!
AWESOME Tutorial sensei!!! This could even have been 3 seperate videos cos how detailed you go into each technique and what to do on failed attempts! AWESOME!
thanks brother!!
Having a similar frame and style to Jeff makes these so easy to work into training. Thanks for all the amazing content you make dude! It helps all of us still stuck in quarantine massively!
no problem man!
Amazing content, Jeff!! Always looking forward to your videos. Another great technique to add to my repertoire and train with a friend with. Cheers 👍🏻
thanks for watching man!
Jeff, you're simply the best! Amazing. Your explanations, the sparring footage, and failed attempts, everything about your content is just perfect. Thank you!
thank you man I appreciate it!
You are the best teacher out there Jeff you have the best combos and set ups ever

As always, super professional videos and super professional and clear explanations! Can't wait to see you fight again!

Ótimo vídeo. Parabéns.
You literally have THE BEST striking content on the internet. Thank you for all that you do.
thanks man!!!!!
The fact he post successions and fails in his videos make him the best you just got a sub
Great video man as always
thank you!!
My instructor always encouraged us to incorporate sweeps into our sparring, teaching us to be light on our feet. Love the roundhouse and double-leg follow ups, by the way!
thanks for watching!
Best video about sweeps for sure
:)
Love you show the failed attempts too👏🏼 helps so much
thanks bro!!
Bro another great video the outside leg sweep always works for me.
awesome :)
Thank you
Sweeps are so beautiful when executed properly!
cheers!
Thanks a lot, Jaff for your techniques. I'm gonna add those tec in my training.
awesome!!
Awsome Video Jeff I have been looking for footsweeps to add to my arsenal in sparing now I have a few
awesome!
Nice as always. Good motivation for training!
thank you!!
Nice foot sweep, I always am able to sweep the front leg but I leave out an important detail that is pushing forearm or head. I will practice. Thanks
I've never tried out sweeps before but these ones look very effective so i will give them a try, excellent job by the way !!!
awesome thanks!
Very graceful and effective movements you have there Bro'
thank you!!
Awesome content man! Didn’t realize I’ve been using some these foot sweeps w/o thinking about it 😅😄
nice man!!
Awesome! Love foot sweeps. Also great in a self defense context.
thanks man!
While in lockdown and all gyms closed I meet up with a friend and spar a bit at my place. I always love to watch your videos and show to him and try something new. Your vids are the greatest due to the real sparing footage. Love the mix beetween realtime/ pausing/ highlighting/ Slowmos in your sparing footage! I really learned new techniques from you, please keep up the awesome work, no comparable content for martial arts out here youtube!!! Big inspiration for me. Greetings from Germany!
thank you so much brother I appreciate the support!
Great technique 👌, definitely will use them in training 👍. As always thanks for the video, and merry Christmas to you Jeff chan 🎄.
merry xmas brother!
Jeff I see you developping great insights and I must Thank u for that I think that sweeps blend well with spinning strikes (back kick, hammerfist, elbow and even tornado kick ) and tbh, that's probably the only thing missing to this vid Gj
thanks for watching!
Muy bueno como siempre 👏👏👏👏
thank you!!
Yooo what’s up man!!!? Nice video 💪🏻💪🏻👍👍
thanks bro!!!
Finally got this down better compared to when I first saw this vid. I landed it on 3 different sparring partners today! It's fun. I used the first one you showed.
cheers!!!
Great Video ! Definitely one of your bests ones, with new and exciting combos and "what if it fails ? ". Plus, using these Muay Thai sweeps in MMA seems new, I had never seen mixed up like this before !
thanks for watching!
Great techniques 👍
thanks!!
Very useful! As someone who practices Sanda, I'm a fan of sweeps!
thanks for watching!
That double leg After the sweep was awesome! I'm starting to incorporate takedowns and trhows in my striking sessions. Good advices as allways! When we Will see an other fight of yours in One Championship? I can't wait to see how effective and skillfull are u became! Greatings
thank you bro! I appreciate the support!
Sooooo nice! Thank you men))))

Hey bro sick moves will definitely use just wanna say hope you have a merry Christmas 🎄 and May we all have a happy new year 🥳
thanks man merry x mas to you as well!
Beautiful use of Judo style foot sweeps melded with striking. Brilliant stuff.
thanks for watching!!
Revisiting videos when I’m now training myself for a year now and all I can say is it’s crazy how far I’ve gone and how I can do all of these sometimes
:)
It's amazing how people could easily fall or tumble with a simple sweep of the leg if done right.
haha yeah! I wasnt a fan or didn't believe in the effectiveness of the foot sweep until my partner kept getting me with it over and over again
I’m a southpaw and love the lead leg kick , I cannot wait to try out the 3rd sweep next time I’m sparring 🤩🤩
awesome!!
This will surely help me improve in my muay thai
Cheers !
Very nice, 2 thumbs up
thank you!!
Magic !!
cheers!
At what point in my sparring should I be trying these sweeps? I been sparring Muay Thai for about a month now
Super! Love it and now find somebody to practise it with ;) It is so hard to find a gym in the Netherlands where they teach sweeps/throws, since it is all focussed on Dutch style kickboxing, which I find quite boring (trained it for many years). Since I did Judo as a child I really like sweeps/throws and of course the teep as lanky figther.
thank you!
@@MMAShredded btw I just realized I have actually learned the second one with the long knee 😉
He keeps blessing us bro I’m gonna move to Toronto any advice for a good mma bjj gym big love ❤️ thanks
Bazooka Joe Kickboxing!
@@MMAShredded thanks bro 🦾🔥
As always great vidz ! What it's works great for me is to follow foot sweep by an uppercut or by a down elbow (I'm southpaw btw).Next time I will do sparring I'll try the cross follow up !
sweet bro!
Hi Jeff. Great Video. Here a amall additional Idea from panantukan. When you Stick Out the Arm for the foot sweep, do it with a heavy backhand hammerfist. (In case you are not doing it already.)
thanks!
Nice video! Love from singapore🇸🇬🔥
thank you!
This is my favorite technique to do on an unexpectiing opponent. Works like gold. More often than you would think. I like to set it up with punches and sweep when they cover up and cant see well.
sweet!!
@@MMAShredded warrior collective does a good tutorial on it. Also an amazing resource full of incredible fighters if you dont know about them kzhead.info/sun/gZSgd86AroqnnYU/bejne.html
Realy good 👍🏼
thank you!
@@MMAShredded i'm just being honest Jeff
Excellent! I like the "effortless" approach( which means you can use sweeps on larger opponents) and the way you build up combinations based on techniques described on previous videos. I was wondering if you could highlight, or otherwise indicate, techniques that can used for street self- defense as opposed to MMA competition techniques, since sometimes martial artists confuse the two?
thanks!! I can def see what I can do about making a video like that!
This helped me make an oppifany with my combo game. Hope my body can keep up with my mind, I'm about to flow chart fighting
cheers!
Love it
cheers!
Awesome this is what I've been practicing 😁🙏
awesome!
Yooo 💯🙏😁😂🤣💥🥊✌️🙏🏻👊😂
The lead leg foot sweep that you demonstrated is a technique that we practice in Shotokan. Block the jab with your lead hand, sweep with lead leg (Ashi barai) , then reverse punch (gyakazuki). Thanks for the awesome video.
sweet!! thanks for watching!
Its alsousednin 7 start mantis kung fu. This technique is one of their staples! Cool to see how universal these techniques are!
The best in the world Jeff chan using this in my sparring today
sweet!
Finally someone's made a video on foots weeps (I mean they might have but I just haven't seen it yet 😁) I love them I'm just not good at them They're not used enough in mma imo
haha thanks for watching!
always a good day when jeff uploads
thanks for the love !!
These techniques are siiick
cheers!!
Jeff,Can you make a video on the illegal and legal sweeps in muay thai and clinching?
Gold content
thank you!
Oh man I can see how to make the first one more brutal
Thanks for the great content as usual Jeff. I was wondering would you say these sweeps are as effective in MMA as they are in Muay Thai sparring sessions? I find kickboxing only rounds to have the stances little different due to no pressure from takedowns. Also I'm not sure I recall seeing many of these sweeps being done in MMA, obviously I see them a lot in Muay Thai matches where the stances are taller.
yes I agree that it is easier to sweep in MMA than Muay Thai because of the stance. MMA guys including myself put more weight on the lead leg for hands and thats where the sweep is effective !
You're a legend man The first sweep works on 75% of the people at my gym
Cheers !
Have you tried a full on inside leg kick sweep?
Thank you for posting! I know the video says Muay Thai foot sweeps, but these remind me so much of Sapu Luar and Sapu Dalem out of Kali. But who really cares about terminology
thank you!!
great stuff! can you do a vid on the more "out there" type sweeps, like the one ferguson pulled against gaethje?
ill see what I can do!
@@MMAShredded sick man, thanks!
Still awesome, my old dad learns MMA (he 47) and he takes a lot from your videos to try at the club lol and and I come with him too (I am 14) and I can see him he makes some guys fall down and he happy he tells me this is beacuse he looks at your videos :)
awesome man, keep up the good training bro your going to be a killer when you get older!
This is my favourite technique of all time , especially when they fear your ground game
thanks for watching!
Love from India ❤ Good video.
thanks man!!
nice!
thank you!
Got to love the foot sweeps !!!,best way to embarrass your opponent simply,I’m a southpaw think works great sneaky right leg trip, like that double leg takedown from failed attempt 👍
haha yeah! thanks for watching!
@@MMAShredded when’s your next fight mate ???,
You gotta respect how Jeff show his successful and fail attempts. He is a legit martial artist.
thanks brother!
neat!
thanks!
I have my first MMA fight in one week against someone shorter, my stance is similar to yours with more emphasis on keeping the distance so I predict he'll be heavier on his lead leg coming forward. One combination I love is the low kick and then a cross using the leverage of pulling your leg back, I got it from you of course, but what I will add is that first foot sweep on the end as he'll probably try and check with his leg up after being hit with the first one leaving him on one leg. Of course it's a fight and anything can happen and I have plenty other combinations, most of which are from you, but still I aim to kill his leg early on and I feel as though this will do that and it'll enable me to take him to the ground if he falls to pass his guard and get in side control, my favorite position
How did it go? 🙂
@@swekiwi4517 not well lol, the guy I fought was in fact not smaller than me, but instead three inches taller, and SEVEN kg heavier (nearly 15lbs, a weight class and some), he was also more experienced although I had superior technique and he was older, basically got beat up for 40 seconds by a grown ass man. He admitted he knew I was technically better and so he didn't want a technical fight so he just came out swinging and knew my lack of experience meant I had little to no composure. I came out happy though because I didn't get hurt or rocked and it was a really early stoppage like the ref stopped the fight as I was throwing a punch and I was stable enough to pull the punch when he stopped it. Happy though because it can't get much worse than that night and I came out laughing. (PS, it was a fight for charity and that's why there was a massive weight difference and I only found out about the opponent switch two days before)
@@danieldonaldson6308 Wow. Thanks for sharing Daniel! Also, huge THANKS since it was for charity as well ❤ And a big pat on the shoulder for actually laughing. It's important (I believe) to have fun 😀
@@swekiwi4517 Thanks for the positivity, hopefully I'll have my amateur debut start of 2024 once I get my BJJ blue belt probably, looking forward to fighting someone my weight and most likely shorter which is my bread and butter aha
@@danieldonaldson6308 Haha! Hear hear on going against a shorter opponent 😎As soon as they are in my height (183 cm) I see them as tall as pine trees, which is bad for my self confidence. I enjoyed reading your story! Keep it up and you'll have that blue belt around your waist finally! 🖖
Absolutely love your honesty and transparency. It is an honor to learn from something with so much respect for the truth.
thank you for your support!!!
