Gary Speed - legend.
Never tire of watching Yeboah goals. I used to know Paul Heald, who was in goal for Wimbledon when Yeboah scored 'that goal' from miles out. Never failed to remind him!
Yeboah absolutely class and Brolin assist for Deane’s goal was sublime. A result like that this Sunday would be brilliant.
Yeboah and Deane those were the days, when we actually had a striker up front
My first ever Leeds/Man U game when I was 7. Whole day felt like being on holiday. Class.
Alaw mot!!!yeboah just class
Shame we haven't got a player of his calibre in the current side.
@@jaguarskills69 Bamford will be back this week dont worry .
@@MARTIN-bd7gmlol
Never gonna happen like this again, greatest rivalry in football
Was at this game Xmas eve, even got yeboahs signature on a programme as well , happy days
Viduka was very similar to yeboah. Love Elland Road the noise is phenomenal
Gary Speed ❤️
What a day that was. Pub open at 6am pissed by 9
Took you long enough, were you on shandies?😉
Oh to have 2 strikers and a world class midfield. Those were the days. PS. For all the Brolin hater's, 2 assists for the Swede! A Merry Christmas it was 💙💛MoT
Top players but 1995/96 was a poor season
@@chrisjames5188 Port Vale away the highlight of that season 👍👍😉
@@chrisjames5188 it was but we still got to the League Cup final despite a mega injury crisis.
Thomas brolin was a complete waste of money.end of story

🎉 i was there in the south stand. The atmosphere 😮 happy days. Paul parker slips and yeboah scores a great goal. Brolins chip for deane was class.
My first ever game at ER. Incredible. ❤️
I still have my Leeds Utd shirt from that match 1995/6 season, so it is 28 years old.
How old were you when you got the shirt...45?
Great teams we had during the 90s and part of 2000s
Oohh the memories. Was in benidorm that day. The staff put this game on outside on the big screen .sun on our backs pint in hand full of Leeds fans & Glasgow rangers fans who happened to be passing & joined in the singing & banter there was a few scumchester in there but when leeds scored the penalty the bloody place erupted ha ha 😂 but when Tony yeboha scored it was a complete 🍺 shower . Fantastic memories. Thanks for the memories.
Deane was so underrated.
Not sure if he was underrated, I think he just played at a time when England had a big pool of strikers to pick from, he still got 3 caps though.
Best Christmas ever.
I was at this game. Brolin gets a bad rap from Leeds fans generally, but I think that he was harshly treated. He was never really given a fair crack by HW in my opinion. In this game he, Yeboah and Deane were excellent. Brolin's weight was often used as a rod to beat him with. However, in this game he is, clearly, far from being out of shape. He gained weight after being side-lined by HW, who preferred playing Frank Strandli, which was enough to make any self respecting forward player lose confidence and gain weight. If I remember correctly, Brolin was substituted with about ten minutes to go in this game. I couldn't quite understand why. He was doing 'keepy-uppies' at one point, much to the delight of the crowd. HW never did like entertainers, so perhaps that was the reason he was substituted. I believe that he now owns a shoe business! Edit: Frank Strandli left in 94. Phil Masinga and Ian Rush (vintage model) kept him out of the side. Equally perplexing.
Frank Strandli left us in 1994, before Brolin arrived.
are you on drugs fella ...Frank strandli ....left way before Brolin even joined
Beautiful footage… let the good times roll again…. Loved it….
Great memories. Just wish we could replicate this again. Not sure we can.
Forgot about this one. Always worth watching a match where Leeds beat Man Utd (doesn't happen often enough).
Oooooh Aaaaaah, Ooooh Aaaaaaah, Oooooh Aaaaaaah CANTONAAAA! Cant wait for SUNDAY 🔥👊🏼
Big Leeds ❤❤
Happy days \0/ ALAW
Watched this in the Sugar Shack bar Pattaya great. Full of them other fans only me smiling what a night that was MOT
Both jerseys amazing!
Love how Gary Mac gives Roy Keane a kiss after that penalty....
Remember this match. Brilliant day.
I was there! Straight uo wesley streetto the White Hart for 10 pints after! Yeboah was world class.
I hope that the current Leeds can be like this team soon
This team survived by only 5 points that season in 96 but to be fair I'd still take that lol.
@@chrisjames5188 I thought this would have been a good team since they beat Man United 3-1 this reminds me of Fergie's rant about Leeds only doing well when its Manchester United
@@purpledragons1146 yeah was a strange season they finished 5th the year before
these were the days
Life in a Northern Town Song by The Dream Academy...was belting out on the Tanoy just before the game started! It was a perfect start to xmas in every way..
Merveilleuse equipe de Leeds....cela est tres drole de voir l age de certains joueurs et leurs tenues mais c est vraiment un Leeds extra ..i love leeds united!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Great memories and a great team. Deane and Yeboah causing problems "ALWAYS" 🤣
That third goal tactics was marvellous 🔥🔥🔥🤍💙
Gary MaC 🏴💛🏴💛🙏
Had forgotten Richard Jobson, very decent CH. We had a great kit then as well 👍👍
Lead singer of the Skids? 'Into the Valley' was a fine song.
@@portcullis5622 We also had Allan Clarke from the Hollies, Mick Jones from The Clash, Billy Bremner from Rockpile. We've had some multi-talented players at Leeds United.
Great times.Needed to see this after Palace defeat.
LETS DO THIS LADS!!! GO TO PREMIERSHIP!!! MOT!!!!!!
Cheeseburger brolin with his finest performance in a Leeds shirt. My first season as a Leeds fan
Then why use the cheeseburger as a winger when he never used to play there? Maybe check out your signing before you buy him Howard...
@@uzisuicide5372 Leeds still the same. Buy players and play them in a different position. Joel Piroe, case in point.
The two best teams ebver
I went to this game. Leeds United!! 😊👍 Love from North London.
I was there in the East stand, we thought 2-1 was good, this was even better!
You could feel every hustle
Best ever for me as a Leeds fan growing up I’m 90s yeboah that goal against Liverpool magic but the one against Wimbledon wow

I've never understood how a squad with that talent in it could finish 13th., with 43 points, and if I recall, only something like five or six points above relegation. McAllister, Speed, Brolin, Yeboah, Deane, Kelly, Wallace, Masinga, Lukic, Radebe, Palmer. Possibly it was lack of depth in the squad. Wilkinson definitely erred in my view by selling Whelan and Sharp, and in an earlier season, Batty. I think this was the season when Newcastle were challenging and their manager, Keegan, went into that rant after Ferguson goaded Leeds about their performance in the return match at Old Trafford, saying they should be a top 5 team (he was correct in that observation, anyway).
Yes this was the Keegan "I'd luv it'' season! Shame that the so called 'O'Leary babies' were not a year older at this point because Wilko would have started to use them by giving them game time. I'm convinced that Wilko would have landed us a title late 90's early 2000's? Such a shame he was sacked because the good times were just around the corner of 1996 and Wilko had the experience for a title tilt against Ol Bacon Face.
@@maratonlegendelenemirei3352 Yes, never understood how Wilkinson could be sacked on footballing grounds. It was clearly a Caspian decision, as they had already lined up George Graham pre-season and were paying him a retainer! Mind you, the second worst decision of the club was to then let George Graham talk to Spurs in 1998. Graham could have been a great Leeds manager and probably would have averted the financial collapse due to his more conservative approach to the transfer market, etc.
@@tomrogers7110 Yes that's true, George could have led Leeds to the title around 1999,2000, as he certainly had the experience. I have no idea why George took a massive step down by joining Spurs? It could only have been because he wanted to wind up Arsenal over his fat brown envelopes sacking? Silly man for holding a grudge.
Never noticed before, how much Nicky Butt looks like Lee Evans
I was at this game too, classic match and a great day out
THE GOOD OLD DAYS
Remember watching this live on Christmas Eve 1995.
LOVE IT WHEN WE BEAT MAN U
Christ I feel old seams a life time ago , Yeboah was great sign-in soon he would have been at Leeds alot longer if he hasn't fallen out with George when he became the manager same with Brolin he didn't give either a chance.
McAllister - the thinking man’s midfielder
What an absolute wonderful video.
I can't remember what I got the next day because I was so drunk after this match!
Brolins best game
Great memories. You never appreciate things when they actually happen
Memories wish we had another yeboah now mot
28 years ago today 🤍💙💛
Now this was a proper Leeds team mot alaw
the way macallister pushed keane😻😻
Seem to remember Carlton Palmer being incredible that game, he was everywhere. He may have been on a recreational drug though 🤔
00:35. Love the Moro jackets. They bring back memories from the 90s
Probably the best match Brolin had ..ever
Nah that was back in 1992 when Brolin spanked the English and knocked 'em out of Euro92.
We did the Scum 3-1 and then went to Harry Ramsdens for tea. Fucking Heaven.
Glory glory Leeds United 😁.
I'd say this is the best chance we've had of beating them in a long time, they're in a mess
Agree united haven't been at their best
@@StarWarsGaming-fe7un Unfortunately, neither have we.
@@willatkinson9729 You's have been unlucky with injuries. United are just shite.
Atleast United finish in the top 4 even in the so called bad days of them unlike you lot 😁😄 Man United are global football club with millions of fans, unlike leeds 😂 keep on crying n living in United's shadow 😁🤣
@@khurrambaig1867 I'm a liverpool fan ye melt. Of course United are more likely to finish in the top 4 when they're struggling considering they haven't been outside the top flight since 1974 and have always had considerable backing ever since, unlike Leeds who suffered from careless ownership that bankrupt them and caused their relegation. Still all that doesn't take away from the fact United are still shite at the moment and Leeds aren't doing bad for their circumstances their in, so pack it in bud 👍
Like that simple lufc badge. Best football played when wearing that.
Уважение Лидсу
Carlton Palmer can't even carry a ball in the tunnel 🙂
Were we too harsh on Brolin? Two great assists against a superior Man Utd. Maybe with more time and a good run he could have been decent for us?
The last ever premier league game held on Christmas Eve?
Scummers haven't been at their best lately. But knowing them, they will play like prime barca against us.
Leeds bring out the best in everyone?
I was at this game!!!
They played on muddy pitches in those days. Nowadays the pitches are semi plastic no mud even in the middle of winter
Maybe you would prefer pitches (cow fields) like the old Baseball Ground?
showing videos of the past when Leeds had a chairman with balls and a great team and manager wont keep us in the prem
🤣🤣Who said it would you miserable git.
Hasselbaink wohooo
Fantastic match against SCUM I was there atmosphere off the scale the only premier League match that has ever been played on Christmas Eve. Tony Yeboah what a wonderful striker we could do with him today ,Gary Mac ,and Brian Deane days of yore hopefully a win on Sunday . After that palace nonsense....have to watch this. Bamford and cooper out
Still doesn’t take away the fact, we’re going to get hammered on Sunday.
Man United have been doing bad against relegation zone candidates. Even Burnley held them to a draw
@@purpledragons1146 but we’re Leeds so they’ll magically play like prime Barcelona
for real.. hopefully we can win I doubt it..
Please have this again this Sunday!!!
Tomas Brolin🙈
United have been really poor we have got a chance to beat them
Fake news, i dont remember this so it never happend. 😐😐
Mandela Effect. What actually happened is that Yeboah got an own goal, Cantona cried in front of the Leeds fans and asked to be brought back to Elland Road and forgiven, and Keane got into a fight with Brolin over who took the half-time cheeseburgers (Keane vowed to get Brolin the following season).
cant we just ignore the next games? can we forfeit? we will lose with a 3 goal margin or more anyway. rest the players. hamstrings are dying.
Made it a white christmas that did!!!
I wuz there!
mot
That won't happen again cos we have clown owners and an American coach with no clue and we are selling our best players and replacing them with Euro B and American players
Never get sick of beating the filth....not!
Brian Deane spectacular targetman!!!
Goid reffing with the penalty.
This era was when leeds took no prisoners and were a decent team,
