Man, her story about her three brothers and their condition just made me cry. Deida was a little pitchy which can be worked on, but I was more impressed with the soulfulness in her voice and her excellent breath control stretching out those notes the way she did.

She is amazing! She deserved to get through. On another note, I truly wish Idol didn't focus on all these sad back stories on the contestants. There isn't a soul on earth that won't experience a tragedy, whether it's a death of a loved one, a trauma, or heartache. We all have our own struggles to deal with. I want to be able to watch talented people sing and escape from reality for the time that I'm watching it, and not be reminded of the real world if only for a moment.
Her story is very special. Her family is a major part of her story, they are all a very close-knit family, I loved seeing the connection.
