After a short trip down the road, the Pittsburgh Penguins made their third stop on the road trip to face off against the New Jersey Devils. Alex Nedeljkovic started in net for the sixth straight match-up. Erik Karlsson scored the first goal of the game on a wrist shot from the point bouncing off a defender's skate and into the net. With 17 seconds left in the 1st period, Timo Meier evened the score on a powerplay goal. The 2nd period was all Devils. Curtis Lazar and Jesper Bratt both added to the Devils lead. Starting the 3rd with a score of 3-1, the Penguins had a steep hill to climb but managed to diminish the Devil's lead. Sidney Crosby scored a powerplay goal on the back door. A minute later Evgeni Malkin tipped Jack St. Ivany’s shot from the point to tie the game. With time ticking down, the Penguins made a final press on the Devils. Rickard Rakell scored the go-ahead goal by redirecting a shot from Marcus Pettersson. Now in the lead, Pittsburgh added to the goal difference. Evgeni Malkin scored his second of the night on a backdoor pass from Michael Bunting. Crosby also scored a second goal on the final empty net of the game. Penguins took the win with a score of 6-3.

By scoring more than 82 points tonight, Crosby became the only player to have MORE than 1 point per game for 19 consecutive seasons. This is simple math people lol. You shouldn’t be having this much trouble comprehending what I’m typing.

They didn't get emotional. It comes off as fake a.f. or just childish. Homerism crapola. Oh gawd and please enough with this Geno machino. Just stop.
