  • I think having an emotional attachment to these idols makes people sensitive to critiques. I've never commented before, and I admit CeeCee ruffled my feathers a bit initially. I've watched several of her reactions at this point and now would just like to say that I appreciate her honesty and really respect her dance knowledge. I think folks should keep in mind that she doesn't have bad intentions and is strictly focused on the performances. That means that sometimes she might be more critical of one performance and enjoy a another one from the same idol at a different time. People, please keep in mind her opinions a geared to the performance and not the person...be it the idol or whoever views the reaction.

    • 100%. The emotional attachment fans have to the idols is both one of the best things and one of the worst things about K-Pop Standom. I love the artists i am a fan of but i would never let that blind me to critiquing them whether it be over a scandal or when judging their work as singers/dancers/performers. I think letting Standom go that far actually does a disservice to the idols.

  • She's right and she should say it! I hate that she's received so many criticisms and it's not fair bc often times when Black women don't come off as chipper or animated about people's faves, they're automatically perceived as being rude! People need to remember that if you just want to watch a reaction where it's nothing but empty positive responses, viewers get nothing out of that! This channel brings in PROFESSIONALS which is so refreshing esp since kpop reactions for years have been inundated with the same boring content so I appreciate CeeCee's feedback and opinions! Same with the other creators on this channel!

  • I prefer Lay's dance style much more since he emphasizes technique, agility, variation of dance styles, smoothness etc..most kpop dancers just do the same thing again again keeping in mind how they can pull in audience by sensual n very muscle strength heavy dance steps. When covering his dances the difference gets very vivid that his smoothness and flexibility is very unique n rare. Even a lot of professional dancers won't have that fine tuning or swiftness.. the amount of beats he can catch with every single part of his body is something else

  • Okay, I've been a silent viewer on your channel for a while now (and I've been enjoying all of your content) and I've see the reactions to some of CeCe's reactions and I just gotta say even if I may not have agreed with some of CeCe's comments or maybe one rubbed me the wrong way, I never took the time out of my day to write a hateful comment about it or let it ruin my day. CeCe seems like a sweet person and I'm sure none of her comments come from a malicious perspective. Just because I'm a supporter of a group or artist doesn't mean that they can't receive criticism because literally no one is perfect. CeCe I hope you continue to be honest and do more reactions and that others learn how to ignore things that bother them because that has to be an exhausting way to live life if you spend so much of your energy on leaving negative or offensive comments. Like I said, I've been enjoying your content for a bit now and genuinely appreciate all the perspectives you bring and introduce to kpop! Keep doing you!!

  • Just to answer her question if Lay had any dance training prior to debuting with EXO, the answer is NO. He consider himself one of the worst dancers compared to the other trainees then, esp Kai. That is why he worked really hard and even strapped himself with bag of sands. He suffered injuries because of that but it also explains why his movement is swift and light. He also practice in the dark with a little bit of light to improve on his dance line. And that is why (like her) I might not like some of his songs, but watching him perform live is a different story altogether. Personally, I like Lose control, namanana and flying apsaras. So I hope she check the Flying Apsaras dance practice.

    • Aw, I didn't know he was struggling with that kind of thing (I'm fairly new to exo). Ma boi TY leader of NCT was the exact same with no prior training & he got a lot of shit from their dance teacher as well saying he'll never make it etc. My heart really goes out for struggles like that. But they're hard working dudes & it payed off at the end. Lay is fkn amazing. I prefer his style of dancing very much when I watch Exo's stuff.

  • i actually really appreciate her honesty. so many reaction channels never voice any criticism or negative opinions of the things they watch, which makes it feel like they’re only doing it to get views from fans. even if i’m a huge fan of an artist or like the song, i’m always so glad to hear people honestly critique & examine it. to me that means they’re really paying attention, not just mindlessly watching/reacting to get views. it also makes their positive reactions feel much more genuine.

I also feel the English version wasn’t really lay and it felt like it was trying to be more American pop and hip-hop and targeting more of that audience and just had lyrics what they would want to hear. I don’t understand why people keep watching her if they don’t like her. Just don’t watch her, why do people feel the need to complain and hate. • I would really like to see what she thinks of flying asparas by Lay!!! As far as her way of sharing her opinions I honestly never really found her to be extra rude except for a couple of times like when she said certain members should never be in the front... for those that stand out as "bad" dancers she needs to remember that some of these idols didn't started as dancers and they put in a lot of effort to try to blend in with the others but they can't really parctice on their own or take extra dance lessons because they are busy with other things (some have also acting jobs, some are producers for their group and other artists as well, some work on variety sows) and sometimes some of them are naturally clumsy and have a lot of difficulties moving their body without hurting themselves or others!!! She is speaking from a professional dancer point of view so every mistake would be more noticeble to her... I think she should keep in mind that every member in a group brings something different to the table because Idols are not just one thing but they are all rounder that need to be able to do basically everything!!! Sorry for the long rant 😂😂😂 I just wanted to give some context because I honestly feel that some things she said just sounded rude more because of her tone and the fact that she is not too familiar with the concept of idol and not because she just wanted to offend people.

  • People forget that foreign songwriters and producers stylists etc. also work in Asia and not just the West for example Vedo wrote regular for NCT 127. So it is fair to say their style is embedded in their work. Also peoples influences also dictate what they choose to do, so if they like hip hop, dancehall or soca, should they be barred from it because ethnically it's not their culture? So then if your black you shouldn't like harajuku? I understand the underlying issues. I guess where I'm from we don't care everyone of multiple backgrounds partake in the culture without a care. If there is no disrespect we don't care.
