First Video from the resent trip to Norway. This run is from Dalsnibba the top is 1476m high and the view is sick. The skating was really nice as well, only did one run while filming so didn’t get a super good run and I hit the line where the road changes so the wheel got stuck and made the board flip.
Big thanks to @abbeabbe96 and @Hussain_Nas for filming and @pederhsx and Sebastian berglund for closeting the road.
More videos coming soon…
Cool skating but is nobody going to give props to the cameraman for running at that speed while keeping it so steady?

As someone who would fall off a stationary skateboard, this is absolutely mind-blowing!
Its just about practice
@@whocares_beartbh there’s literally years of fun to be had on a skateboard before you need to worry about ollies (but you can also learn em on day 1 lol)
@@Osse.C But is it also a very high quality skateboard? With very good wheels? Just curious if regular sport shop skateboards could handle this kind of speed and wear.
@@Elurin I made the board myself and I use ettsexett trucks. Wheels mostly depend on what you whant to do they can come in a bunch of different sizes and duros but to start of whit almost any wheels works. Just try to not start whit a super soft and grippy wheel because they are harder to get to slide
@@whocares_bearyou dont need to tell such boring story
very few people could wonder how really hard is doing this and more with that confidence... that speed is fearsome, its even difficult to stay in a straight line. mad props for this
Don't know about skating, but I can cycle at this speed, I might have to show down at the turnings tho
😚
Its really not hard just terrifying. All you do is keep your weight on your front foot
@@Daynnikes did you never experienced going downhill and not being able to keep it full straight because of the vibrations and idk what more make your feet shake so keeping equilibrium is more difficult?
@@mukelsonYeah, I scratched my hand really deep going down a road while skating a few years back, not even as steep as that one, definetly what happened, the stress got me shaking and the speed made it near impossible to keep it steady.
Was at the top of that mountain a couple of summers ago, I confess I did not contemplate skating down it. Awesome views man. I love this country.
Siick man yeah its crazy in Norway
Yeah even I do love Norway. I have been there and I found it sooo beautiful looking at the serene environment. I really love the green, clean and peaceful environment of Norway. Just BEAUTIFUL!!
Game companies should make a sample out of this video to make a really beautiful skateboarding game with chill music. Loved this ❤
There is actually one that is pretty similar called driftwood on steam, but what I know of it don't have landscape like this.
The closest that we have is Alto's Adventure and Alto's Odyssey, but they're not skateboarding games. Adventure is snowboarding and Odyssey is Sandboarding. But, they do give you the similar chill and badass feel just like this video. Oh and both are 2d endless run mobile games and before anyone says "modern mobile games poopoo" these are some of the exceptions. Trust me, you won't be disappointed
Downhill jam tho 👀😅
there's a longboarding vaporwave raccoon game called tanooki sunset thats pretty fun
@@Shadowstar_Art I've never seen that before. It looks so cool and fun
Man the risk involved in this is something fierce. One slip and the dude could go under the guard rail over a huge mountain. Props man.
Let’s just not think about that and skate instead;)
Or over it 😅
I would carry a chute on me.
Why is it that when men do dangerous shit people give props, when women do dangerous shit people say they're dumb for doing that? lol fr I just saw a video of a woman going down a mountain and then sliding over a river with skis and everyone was flaming her..
@@neonicetextbook sexism haha. Well spotted
Real props are to Norway which somehow has a perfect while road in the middle of nowhere while here in Italy roads have so many holes you could honestly use them as trenches
They have that oil money, so they repave there roads alot. + this road goes up to a tourist spot
What part of Italy, when I was there the roads were pretty nice. Better than my home state of New York in the United States.
this is pretty hillarious to me a norwegian. roads in the middle of nowhere are maintained to the utmost standard. roads in the middle of oslo are potholed and falling apart

Downhill skateboarding is one of the most freeing things I’ve ever done, by a long shot.

You remind me of Josh Neuman, another longboarder that inspired me to tackle the hills of my university campus. Unfortunately, Josh Neuman is no longer with us, but he inspired many through videos just like this. I am sure you will do the same for many people to come, and I will support you along the way.
Thanks you so much! I have a hard time comparing myself to josh but it would be really fun if this had the same kind of effect as the work he’s done for the community.
What happened to him?
@@notgonnadoxmyself1888 unfortunately he was in a plane crash in island 2022

Man, this made me think of Josh Neuman too 😢
The skill display, the landscape, the speed and the great job of the camera. Wow. People with this kind of audacity should get more recognition. Bravo and keep it up!

The cameraperson is the real unsung hero of this video.
Cameraman is gender neutral, FYI
As Cambridge Dictionary : Cameraman, a person who operates a camera when films or television programmes are being made. A man or woman who operates a camera, esp. as a regular job, in making movies or television programs.
The cameraperson did indeed do a spectacular job.
'cameraperson' just makes me think of a hybrid of a person and a camera
@@luxie8097 Isn't that cool?
Cool skating props to the camera man ... but how about that beautifully paved road !?? The engineering of the topography to the manufacturing of the machines used. Then you have the skilled men and women who built a road on top of a freezing mountain. Bravo Construction crew...bravo !!!
It reminds me how thrilling and cautious rife it was. Half squat for the whole 5 minutes must be a painful ride in such speed. But definitely worth watching!
The adrenaline probably overcomes the pain from the squat. But I agree with you, absolutely amazing view.
@@ryvic9021as a surfer and skier, i can tell you the adrenaline is worth it, but it doesnt override the thigh burn for long 😅
Man this takes me back to my teens when me and my best friends were all boarding together and learning to slide to do some downhill someday! Never got to a real mountain but I remember those days so fondly. And now, many years later I am considering to move to Norway, and man, you might've just sealed the deal haha.
I 100% recommend moving there. I'm considering to do it myself
downhill is so underrated and it deserves a huge comeback, what an incredible sport
Right!!!!
i third that!
Scandanavian landscapes make me feel like I'm on another planet. Especially Iceland.
Iceland is only a part of Scandinavia in culture, geographically it's not a part of Scandinavia. Scandinavia geographically is Denmark Sweden and Norway, nothing else.
@@Stance1988 so is Iceland technically America then?
@@asiberiantiger188 Iceland is part of the Nordic Countries, but I see why what you wrote is funny XD
@@asiberiantiger188 Scandinavia covers Denmark (Includes Greenland and Faroe Islands as they are under Danish rule), Norway and Sweden. Fennoscandia includes Finland Nordics is more of a cultural grouping, but it covers Scandinavia + Iceland and Finland. Depending on who you ask, Estonia too but they are only observers in the Nordic Council. Scotland would be likely to become part of the Nordics if they ever became independent. @@Osse.C the views and the skill brother 🤙🏻🔥
I’ve seen a few long boarding videos from other channels, but this is the first one where I’ve seen the “hand brakes” cause sparks while scrapping the road. I’m really curious about that. Considering the cold climate, was there something in the road itself that caused it or in the hand brakes?
I think he might have sparkdevils attached to his gloves
If you look at the plastic slide pucks on his gloves, they have little round pieces of flint embedded in them. That’s what causes the sparks. It’s purely for aesthetic enjoyment.
It's so peaceful ❤
Stuff like this just looks so liberating. I would say it must feel like you're flying, but there's no way your legs aren't screaming the whole way down just to keep a tight balance. How do people even prepare for things like this, at comparable speeds? Like what's the gradual build up before tackling a whole freaking mountain with curves that will kill you if you mess up?
It’s basically just start to learn how to skate on flat ground then just pick a hill and start trying, after a while you realize that most crashes aren’t that bad it hurts a little but just get back on the board and try again. And then build up whit bigger hills and after a while the size of the hill is not a factor more then it gives you more hill to skate
So nice
Wow wonderful mountain scene......
Just amazing.
"Also, keep in mind that if you accidentally hit the safety barrier, it can be extremely dangerous, and you risk injuring yourself, like having your leg or foot broken. Safety should always come first, so please be cautious and maintain a safe distance. Take care!"😘
Fear is bitter than dead
Injuring yourself is the railing is the least of my concern getting tripped and launched off the cliff is whats more scary
Yeah thats what the helmet is for 😅
@@semekiizuio Helmet is only for head not for legs lol🤣😂
@@GlamRumors I know I was joking. In the video the only visual protection was the helmet. Also the comment was unnecessary, obviously in any form of extremity protection is a must so I was poking a jab at it. Clearly this wasnt the first time this person skated through there.
Красота❤

Yoo thanks alot man🤙
How is that literal HAND-brake akira slide with sparks shooting out not in a videogame?? This is one of the coolest videos I've seen in a long time
Thanks mate!! And what’s a Akira slide?
oh! there's this anime film called Akira where the main character does a slide away from the camera on his motorbike-a lot of movies and animated stuff reference the scene, you might've seen it before without knowing. It's not exactly the same as an akira slide but it _felt_ like one haha@@Osse.C

This makes me remember the first one doing this and his gone already. But I am happy youre continuing his contents in your channel Take care and salute
Whats crazy is the person with the camera was keeping up with him too well done
The camera is mounted on a car, it's pretty intense driving the car because you have to be pretty close to the skater (within 1m) to get the good shots.
Holy crap
These types of videos keep Josh Neuman's legacy alive.
Amazing bro. You can tell a lot about a person by their skating and you convey so much just charging. Can tell you’re probably a really nice person
🙏
Wow!! Just beautifully insane!
That looked like a lot of fun. I've often wondered how skateboarders bled off speed before tight corners. How long does it usually take for one to confidently learn that technique?
It’s hard to say because everyone learns at different speeds but I would say half a year to a year to start getting a hang of basic slides. I have been skating downhill for about 4 years now and the first 1 to 2 years was basically just going straight and learning to stop so I could go outside of Stockholm to one of our 2 actual hills.
this video is good because the sounds of the wind, skateboard, are muted (not overwhelming). This lets the calm music set the perfect ambience! I briefly checked out some of your other videos and the background sounds were too loud. Hopefully this comment can help! This is one of my favorite videos now. Hope your channel becomes really popular
Thanks a lot mate!!! Yeah I was going for a more chill vibe in this video, I think if you have more sound from the wind you get a better feeling for the speed. It fits better in some videos were the main focus is the speed but here its not only the skating thats the focus but also the views and overall vibe
This feels like I'm watching a SK8 the inifinity race in real life. This is just so cool and amazing!
Очень красиво , вот бы мне побывать в этих местах
Norway is bucket list material
This was absolutely incredible. My palms were sweaty during some parts, especially when it was clear you were building up speed and oscillating in the board. Any idea of what your top speed ranges were?
Glad you liked it!! And we didn’t measure the speed this time but I would guess somewhere around 80-85
Looks incredibly brave and skilled.

Nah we use plastic pucks attached to the gloves that allow us to put our hands on the ground whitout ripping them to shreds and I made them whit some metal aswell that make sparks on the road

When can we start getting some speedometer readings on these videos?
Good idea, I can look into it. I know GoPro has on built in but for some reason the gps on mine doesn’t work. I might be able to get some type of gps watch??
@Osse.C i remember back in the day getting a speedometer for my bike. It was a little laser or senor thing youd mount near the wheel and it had a little mph gauge. Something like that, or maybe if you have someone following you they can track it?
@@azhiazim we do have a car like 1meter behind whit the camera on, the problem is that the car is speeding up or slowing down to keep the skater in frame so that would not be accurate.
