Im utterly addicted to these videos. They are the best football compilations on youtube and a magnificent achievement.
Fully agree they are brilliant from a Man City fan
They are brilliant even from this Arsenal fan overseas as well
You are totally correct. These are amazing, charting the game we love through a difficult but interesting era. This was my era. I was born in 75 and loved football even in rural Cumbria I love these videos and don’t support Leeds; but a club! What must it be like to live out such highs and such lows!
When this series sadly ends, I pray it will be offered as a boxset
surely a seaqual 😁😁😁
We need to get 89-90 and then it can finally end with the last of the old first division championship in 1991-1992.
@@chopshec83 yes that woul cap. It off
Too many rights would need to be paid. Let's just enjoy it when we can.
Brings tears to my eyes to see this history, You don't know how much these videos are worth as a historical evidence.!❤
Yet again, the best series on KZhead.....
Still brilliant after all these years, /Episodes
In 10-20 years, when the series ends (🙂) I hope you put all the videos together into one super long binge video.
It will be sooner than that
Gotta say mate...great video. Have watched the whole series and MOT 👌
I'm a Chelsea fan and I was at that game,we won 5-0 to gain promotion and it was my Halifax/ Leeds whites mates who smashed up that scoreboard And,to be honest,it meeded smashing up! 😅
Good day at the bridge. The crumbling terrace from which the ammunition got bigger and bigger but had little affect popping the odd bulb on the scoreboard. Then some genius hatched a plan worthy of Napoleon himself. A concrete fence post was delicately snapped off at pitchside and passed overhead up to the scoreboard where 2 assistants were hoisted onto shoulders and proceeded to jab the aforementioned post into the scoreboard and very effective it was. Not so clever was the lad who broke into the groundsmans hut behind that stand and spent a good ten minutes trying to set fire to a diesel powered lawnmower, complaining that the "petrol" won't light. Probably went on to become a science teacher........happy days....anyone care about the score???
Was there that day still in ground an hour after game old bill baton charged us Leeds fans never seen so many with cut heads with bricks flying about despite being outnumbered Chelsea never got near the fence where we were stood, many Leeds fans still coming in ground when already 3 down great days to be Leeds MOT Forever.
I was there squashed like a sardine and got hit by a small incoming and got me gold earring pulled out…happy days ….a Chelsea lad told me a few years ago it was the SPG coppers that squashed us in, he was at the game and that’s what he said about it, national express from Northampton took me down and I was still at school…Kerry Dixon scored a few didn’t he?
I think it was the metal crush barrier part that they used , it looked like a long piece of scaffold pole
My youth. 83-84 home and away strips were my first Leeds Utd kits. Nik Kershaw was and still is my musical idol. This vid takes me back.
Brilliant series this. Keep them coming. Excellent content. A history lesson as well as some Leeds football. When people look back at the 70s and 80s with rose tinted glasses, I would rather have today any time. Very hard decades to be growing up in let alone working.
Another beauty! That day in May 1984 I was there with Carlisle! We just took 5000 to Bolton and I couldn’t be arsed. Thanks again for these wonderful videos
had to watch again ken bates with mega phone thought his gob was loud enough 🤣🤣🤣eagerly waiting for next episode 😁😁😁
All superb, i was at Eddie Grsy's final game with my dad RIP, the left back cluldnt touch Eddie and had to be subbed, EG was still total class.
another classic dreading when it finishes 😁😁😁😁
Scott Sellars silky left foot brilliant for my team Blackburn Rovers he played for us just before the Dalglish revolution at Ewood
thanks.
That Andy Ritchie goal is hilarious.....
He's still deified in Scarborough for a certain goal against York.
Not so long for the next part eh?
Didn’t we have to wear Chelsea’s socks in that game, however conflicting reports are to wether they were white or yellow, and even some old pictures are inconclusive?
Far be it for me to correct what is surely the football account of historical record, but Chelsea were not just 'fighting for promotion', but victory against Leeds actually clinched it, after 5 years in Div 2. The referee wasn't 'attacked', but simply knocked over in the general pitch invasion. It was becoming harder and harder to herd the crowd back into the stands, so that after the 5th goal they were literally on the touchline. No wonder the ref blew for full-time half a second after the restart.
Yessssssss!!!
Do one from 04 to 2022
What scoreboard
2 more seasons to 1986/87 !!!!
Don't support leeds I support blackburn we have had some players of yours scott sellers was brilliant why did you sell him,got to say I've watched all these episodes from beginning absolutely brilliant
