What is the difference between "true" tea and "herbal" tea? And what are the best types of tea for fighting diabetes and heart disease?
1) Green tea contains a variety of bioactive compounds, including EPIGALLOCATECHIN GALLATE, an antioxidant that has been shown to protect ENDOTHELIAL CELLS - or the lining of arteries - from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
2) Turmeric tea is an herbal tea that contains the antioxidant CURCUMIN, which has been extensively studies for its potential to improve arterial health. Studies show that curcumin has the ability to significantly reduce certain inflammatory markers that are linked to atherosclerosis - meaning it can help protect against cardiovascular damage.
3) Ginseng tea supplies GINSENOSIDES - which have been found to help deactivate certain inflammatory responses in the body, thereby reducing the risk of chronic inflammation. That can help to mitigate the effects of multiple conditions, including heart disease.
4) Black tea provides powerful bioactive catechins and polyphenols, specifically THEAFLAVINS and THEARUBIGINS, which can increase antioxidant capacity in the bloodstream. This has been shown to reduce oxidative stress while protecting endothelial cells that line the arteries.
5) Chamomile tea possesses potent antioxidants, including FLAVONOIDS, TERPENOIDS, and POLYPHENOLS, which can reduce specific inflammatory markers that may mitigate the risk of arterial inflammation and arterial plaque buildup.

  • I drink (and you should too) Matcha green tea. It’s green tea leaves that are ground into a powder. So instead of steeping the leaves and then throwing them away, you are consuming the whole leaf. Which means that you’re going to get more of the wonderful benefits green tea has to offer 🤩 Just make sure you’re buying organic ceremonial Matcha, not culinary Matcha which is more bitter.

  • Well, if the science is there, that must mean that these teas were conducted under ideal circumstances. So, how was the tea brewed? Which brands were used? What was the water temp? What kind of water was used? How long was the brewing? At what temp did the tea work best for consuming? How did you gauge the benefits after consuming the tea? How long was the study used before publishing the results you got?

Many people are and most don’t know it. It’s basically a weed, given a fancy name. LOL Unfortunately it is added to many products these days, including shampoos, soaps, skin lotions and more. Take the time to get an allergy test and read labels.

    @williamirvine2299@williamirvine22995 ай бұрын
    • Rooibos tea is herbal red tea and has no caffeine. It should be included in video, too.

    • No caffeine and good for you. I know some doctors drink it so can't be bad! I have about 3 or 4 a day. My blood pressure dropped.

  • Pls is there any medical side effects in cooking and consuming all the types of leafy teas together at once

    @richardotoo430@richardotoo4305 ай бұрын
    • That is an interesting question, though there may not yet be extensive studies investigating that exact topic. Best to avoid trying this experiment on yourself, though it most likely would not result in any significant side-effects. Still, just to play it safe, stick to consuming one type of tea at a time.

    • @@judithstorck5195 If the concern is just cutting out sugar for it's own sake, honey is fine. Just realize that sugar and honey have the exact same effect on blood sugars. Your body doesn't know the difference.

  • Well as much as there are benefits, there are also adverse side effects which are never mentioned. The safest way to manage diabetes is through healthy diet and exercise period. The majority of side effects that need to be mentioned are the high amounts of oxalates that increase the risk of kidney stones, And interfere with kidney function... and kidney function is a much higher concern for diabetics- especially those taking metformin! It also can cause diarrhea, indigestion, stomach ulcers, rash etc... it can also harm the liver. The worst part IMO is the reports that it can induce damage in several cell lines, including bone marrow cells! You don't have to be a doctor to know the facts, do your research and even though you can consider the advice given online, do your own complete research, talk to to your doctor before adding this to your day!
