    • @@wowzabowza123 Actually, the name of it is the Jerome Gambit. I have never tried it. It is a very risky attack. The first player sacrifices two pieces for two pawns, with the chances arising from the adversary's king being displaced, and drawn into the centre of the board. It is exactly what happened to Anna here, but she managed to defend it and turn it around to win. It is very difficult to do and very risky, which is why I am so impressed.

  • I really like this guy's attitude. Everyone else I've watched her play so far tried to get her to talk on her move to bring down her time, but he talked a lot on his as well, which balanced it out. Also I love it when professional chess players get down to single digit seconds and continue playing for minutes.

  • Funny how much easier it is when you’re not playing to see tactics. I was looking at that bishop sac when she unpinned it and attacked the knight. Then he attacked her Queen and Stockfish was like “Ello, what’s all this then?” ;) I think that’s what it was seeing too? Lots can go wrong when there’s that many pieces in contact with each other all over the board. A big combination can leave you up material and neutralize the enemy’s violent attack!
