Even though I f*cking love this story, there's always been a nagging question in my mind: If Dream is supposed to be _the_ Dream of the Endless, from Neil Gaiman, one of the essential aspects of the Multiverse, so far above Darkside it's not even comparable. How did he not know that the tomb he took Batman was the wrong one?

@@56cea57 Agreed, but then, so are *most* stories where Batman interacts with anyone outside his own rogue's gallery and poses a legitimate threat to them. He's an especially smart, especially fit middle-aged man; there is no possible justification for him being able to fight *anyone* who can fly (or move at all) at high speeds without crashing horrifically, among a thousand other powers that should just completely no-sell him. The only ones of these that seem at all justified in existing in the first place, much less actually winning, are Dawnbreaker (it seems like he was directly powered by the dark god the entire time) and Murder Machine (he's basically just the product of a runaway Weakly Godlike Paperclip Optimizer that only *thinks* it *used* to be Batman). At any point where a decent-tier hero is anywhere with Line of Sight on the batman who laughs, stabbing him in the face faster than his brain is capable of sending an electrical signal one centimeter is an entirely valid option.

I wouldn't say the comics are better they're just complete fantasy where Marvel tries to put a semblance of scientific realism. This was a good story but many plot holes. I do like the fact that DC has taken off the training wheels and made the stories more adult themed and graphic.

As much as I would love it as a movie, they'd probably have to make it into an 8 part series or something. Starting all the way back at Scott Snyders JL. And I almost wonder if might end up being a little campy, with all those different versions of Batman on screen. Like the Batman T-Rex LOL. I don't know that's just my opinion.

Hey man, just gonna let you know, it may be that you'll never see this comment hell its on a video that's almost 3 years old. But my family just finished going through some hard corona virus moments. We didn't suffer loses but for my parents it was incredibly terrifying for me. Rewatching all your vidoes and hearing the voices you make made this easier. My parents don't speak english very well but hearing how you talk about and for these DC characters they love, made them come alive again. I cant thank the medical staff enough for keeping them alive, but again I cant help but thank you for helping them and myself through the entertainment you give us. Thank you Comicstorian, for all you do sir.

I like the idea that he's so fixated on Batman that he feels he _has_ to be the opposite. Batman is lawful good. He has his own set of morals that he will not cross, and does things in service to the benefit of others(personally I think it's the intersection of both strong personal morals and a belief in law that is important to law vs chaos, because everyone has personal taboos or will obey laws that don't inconvenience them and disobey laws they find morally repugnant). So then the Joker is chaotic evil, doing everything he can to prove that the paragons of virtue are just as corrupt as he is, trying to dash their morals upon the rocks and prove that there is no vow too sacred to be broken. But in the moral reversed earth(#3 I think), Batman is lawful evil(I'm just assuming good vs evil is flipped). I'm not sure if that one has a personal code that he follows, but he does use the laws as a bludgeon to get what he wants, and ensures that the law is written to undermine those against him. There the Joker is chaotic good, doing everything he can to screw with the corrupt system Owlman created, in service of those who are beaten down by it. In the white knight, Batman has went off the rails a bit and has stopped caring about innocent lives or massive damage in favor of pursuing vengeance at all costs. This Batman seems chaotic neutral, as he has given up the concern for the innocent people that can be caught in his escapades, and it's gotten so bad the police can no longer accept it as merely "extraordinary means to deal with extraordinary crimes". The joker becomes a lawyer(ran for mayor? Haven't seen that video in a while) and uses the law to try to bring Batman to justice. So I submit to you that the Joker is Negative Neutral. Whatever Batman becomes, he goes the opposite way. And should batman disappear? Well, each time that happens the Joker retreats into a normal life. So facing evil batmen is the only chance the joker has to be good.
As someone who's casually into comics but doesn't want to buy individual issues, watching/listening to videos like this certainly helps a lots. Plus listening to comicstorian's storytelling with emotion hooks me into the story even more so thanks 😊

That got kind of confusing at the end with music ships and detective chimp but Batman and Joker teaming up were cool.
Evan [REDACTED] yeah.. the initial idea for the crossover, and most of the origins were really well done, but it at least, in my opinion, should’ve focused more on the fact that these were all different versions of Batman who had their one bad day twist them into something different, and how they each could face their JLA counterparts - case in point, the different Batcaves each Dark Knight had tailored to fight a certain League member. It’s like fighting the Crime Syndicate or the Tower of Babel storyline, but more interesting since it deals with different Batmen.

Just finished watching the whole thing and kinda wish the ending has more than just shining armor. The story took so long to uncover but took so little to end. Also, this is the most professionally done comic reading channel/technique; having a blurred large background with the comic frames in the foreground moving or turning past with constant slight motion, and everything in RGB filter-fixed? or original from the comic's publisher? as the layers moving into and over the screen with varying degrees of motion and background music to make you feel like you're watching a movie. It's like the Sam Raimi movie style of comic frame reading. The only kind that keeps me here watching and enjoying!

DC is edgy as FUCK. It is a unique thing that DC has. The only reason I like marvel better than DC is because I like happy endings and shit like that. While DC is over there raping everyone's innocence, I wouldn't be suprised if DC made it canon to have the good guys lose tragically and just end everything like that.
DC = dark climax They get beaten over and over again, just to get up and get beaten...again! They also keep getting stronger... but what I always wonder is what happens to the blood and bruising between panels? Also, when Barbatos is finally beaten, what happens to all the dark knights? Maybe that’s in a future book?

1:53:29- So Joker wanted Batman to kill him all this time just to inject him with a virus to make him more like him. Makes you think that "Joker" is just an anonymous alias for a hidden cult of insane sociopaths with a clown motif that try to turn their enemies into them in order to continue the madness and it all originates from some omniversal entity that's a eldritch Joker, and the Joker we currently see is the latest in a long line of either victims or was a descendent of the cult with the insane gene awakened when he had his chemical accident. Considering how Batman is somehow a product of an ancient multiversal bat like demonic alien deity in this story, I wouldn't be surprised by this point.
