This 30 minute yoga nidra with ocean waves is guided by Ally Boothroyd of Sarovara Yoga. You can think of this Yoga Nidra like a multilayered experience for your physical body, your energy body, your mind and emotions, your higher self and even your spirit/soul. This guided yoga nidra includes gentle ocean sounds to further soothe the nervous system and create a state of deep relaxation.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This yogic sleep technique calms the nervous system and activate the parasympathetic (relaxation, rest & digest) response which is so needed in these current times.
This 30 Minute is a guided deep relaxation meditation. In this yoga nidra guided meditation to relax you will be guided through a body scan to calm the nervous system, It’s a 30 minute yoga nidra guided relaxation to reboot your whole nervous system. Like the original poster, had I not encountered yoga nidra and had other experiences prior to it that were just as pivotal in their own ways, my life would have been either stagnant and/or miserable, depending on the point in time in question. Yes, I developed my own practice and continued it independently of others, but had these resources not been available online for free and had not been recommended by KZhead, I wouldn't be doing what I am doing now. 🤔 Currently, I think that the transformation in my life has occurred because I was praying for relief, was presented the instruments to sow seeds of relief, and was able to harvest a bountiful crop through my practice. There was definitely a degree of collaboration with the Divine.

  • Thankyou Ally so much for all your videos. I started doing your yoga nidra meditations as I was suffering from so much trauma. My body wasn't functioning properly. My nervous system was so hypersensitive I would spend weeks house bound. I used your meditations when I was a my worst I could barely stand up. Along with other nervous system retraining I'm so happy and much healthier now. I'm still on my healing journey and will continue to use your meditations daily.   • It is finally time after 16 months, i start doing yoga nidra again, since I was pregnant... After this session, I tapped in & felt how my body has been feeling like it's run a marathon after a marathon & after another marathon & so on without a rest in between. I will now attempt to dedicate at least half hour each day (give or take) to yoga nidra & to my mantra of 'i support my body's time for relaxation'.

  • These practices are truly life changing. I add Yoga Nidra to my weekly weekly meditations. The key is consistency. I was doing amazing and for some reason gave up all my practices that I had been doing daily for ten years. Within 5 years I developed severe social anxiety and my depression returned. I started back all of my practices a few months ago and my anxiety issue has dropped 50%. I will never stop my practices ever again. Your Yoga nidras and Tannis Fishman are my two favorite. Yours was a new find, and again will part of my meditation practice from here on out. Thank you!

  • Ally, This is is my second time doing one of your exercises and it was just as if not more healing and transformative than the first (yesterday). I teach high school, and it's a monday, and it's finals week, and my student population deals with intense trauma and that comes out in their words and actions every day. I love my job and my students, but having something like this to help me reset and return to the source of power and comfort is such a blessing and a gift.   • Hello Ally. I love your yoga nidra . I choose this particular NSDR video recently for relaxing into sleep and first thing in the morning as I want to soothe and calm my nervous system. I appreciate that it is a cumulative practice and I’m using it to help my mind body and emotions heal from anxiety over health and relationship issues. I’ve listened to many of your videos over the past few years, and this one is the perfect length with the gentle sound of waves so calming, and I like the tensing of the whole body at the beginning, and the words you say about all of us contributing to healing the world by healing ourselves ( paraphrasing here!).   • Thanks Ally for the great videos. I have been using them daily as power nap (in case I fall asleep) or to restore energy for the other half of always demanding academic day. Despite I do other practices that helps keeping the balance (like chanting, Qi Gong, sports), I find yoga Nidra the most effective to be less reactive person and more focused. Keep spreading this lovely and peaceful practice
