    • You are attempting to come off comical when you are being cynical but you can see the salt in your tone and attitude towards people generally. Why do people not make their own merchandise... Because some people simply do not want to lol, why are you not allowedd to complain... You do, publically to millions... I think you are trying to validate yourself by constantly bashing people now. After your hard moments in life, you started becoming very cynical and off putting. Yes you are successful and young, I love that, I am young and would like success someday as well. However, the way to do it is not to bash others, regardless of how you do it. Be fortunate you are so successful, be happy you have a strong mind, and get back to looking at everyone a little more kindly. Everyone has hardships and barriers, not everyone can overcome them but eventually your cynical way of looking at others will affect you if you continue to act like a toxin to the internet because you have a following and are successful. You will not be internally happy if you keep on this way, you can claim you are and you dont care but you know what I mean as an intellectual individual. Have a good one Tech Lead.

  • This was helpful. I have been lamenting for years that I don't have many friends but have recently been coming to terms with the fact that I'm just not that interested in friendship with folks I have nothing in common. There is a lot of pressure to have a huge social circle but it takes a huge amount of time to maintain that and frankly, unless you started out wealthy, it doesn't really get you anywhere. The victim mindset is all too real. I see it all the time.

Lot of people these days are incredibly self absorbed and when you're in conversations with them, they only talk about themselves, their problems, their issues, etc. Never caring about the other person. Since I cut such people off last year, I'd noticed I'm WAY more focused on my goals, have more peace of mind and making more money.

    • Any person you see with his mindset has never lost it all. A lot of what leads to success is out of your control. You are have no control over if an invention you made was released at the right time. There are loads of historical stories of people who have died and became rich and successful posthumously. So timing is important, next is health. You could have a debilitating health condition, or you could be born in country with limited opportunities and no way to escape said country. The ONLY true things he stated is that MOST people are not successful due to things they CAN control like studying, organizing, planning, researching, diet, exercise, good sleep habits and communication. Also money doesn't equate to true success because true success is personal development or improving on yourself. Money is just the result if your improvement is something that can be monetized. For example.....Tech Lead comes across in his videos (I could be wrong as I don't know him) as lonely and bored. He says money is better than friends, yet he has been spending time uploading on a social media platform. Most people who comment, upload and share do so in response to deep seated social needs. On what those needs are you have to search yourself to discover what they are. I usually tell people, a clue to understanding what you or someone else is bothered by, is listen to what you talk or discuss the MOST about. Many times what people tell you they don't care about.. THEY CARE ABOUT THE MOST!!!

  • This is exactly how I feel, just as unfiltered as you explain here. It's unfortunate that being forward about this topic or the fact that being successful/productive isn't necessarily difficult -- people just don't want to move away from their comfort/victimhood. I'm 27 and have felt this way for the last 5 or 6 years. I can't relate to any of my classmates, I have no friends because to them, I'm "trying too hard" but, truthfully, I just take action because I don't want to struggle and don't really have the time to worry about struggling.

  • I agree with his statement “I like the idea of friendship”. I’m an introvert but being a doctor and constantly working with people means I have very little time for myself. So I get off work feeling drained of social battery and while the idea of having friends around is delightful, in actual practice, it can become exhausting at times. I enjoy my personal space, my privacy, my productivity, as well as my procrastination. Society seems to find fault in people who need alone time and personal space. Like being single after 30 is weird or not really wishing to hangout because you’d rather work on your own craft or be a complete waste man simply because you want to. I am not a productive machine. But my mind is assured to know the time I waste is my own rather than having to owe the lost time to someone else. Lonely is a shitty feeling. But alone is freeing. We should normalise solitude. As much as other people may find healing in company, society should accomodate those that find freedom in your own company. P.s. I want to adopt your sense of humour but my jokes often don’t run in the same vein :’) I’ll need to work on it probably lol

    • I am an introvert, but I think being introverted is a bad character trait and should be worked against. Too many introverts out there trying to pretend a bad habit is actually good and then they wonder why they're depressed all the time.

      @ImperatorZed@ImperatorZed2 жыл бұрын
    • The difference is your an introvert he just think he’s “ faster smarter stronger and better “ than other people. In your case it’s understandable that you feel like that. If you don’t have friends because you find it freeing and comfortable then thats ok 👍 what not ok is thinking that your just inherently better than other people. Although as humans tend to be more social beings promoting solitude just because you enjoy it seems reckless and a sure fire way to increase rates of depression, loneliness and suicide as people would put isolation above finding people to talk to about their problems. But yh I definitely do get your point and I know many people who feel that way.

      @user-cb9kp1tx8p@user-cb9kp1tx8p2 жыл бұрын
    • One of the things I had to contest with as a person was the fact that humans are by their very biology social animals and when we're under constant stress there's this need to find a sense of comfort and security in a group among other people. There's definitely a lot of things that can be done now to alleviate the need, joining a clan in an mmo, having work friends helps somewhat, having to see a therapist, or having a close family member. It's bad if you have too few avenues and it's horrible when you have none and while you may not notice it the absence of social interaction degrades your character and slowly erodes your will turning you into an anti social liability to yourself and maybe even people around you. I highly doubt TechLead doesn't have friends, he's too intelligent to not have realized the need for at least proxies, either paid escorts, therapists, gamer clans, family, various combinations of the latter etc. Anyway, I hope you find a friend or two out there or at least emulate a few.
